I read in today’s DD that Carlene plans to update her count of the states where a fire department receives a cake. This may not be the correct email to communicate with SDP about that, but so far it’s the only one I’ve found that doesn’t go appear to be a public one. I have been taking a monthly cake to one fire station in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for almost a year.
The guys are so pleased each time, and told me that no one has done this for them. They were not aware of any other fire stations in Alberta receiving a cake like this. I’ve offered to rotate “my” cake around to other local sites to recognize the service of their compatriots but they hasten to assure me that no one would appreciate the gift as much as they do!
They were very impressed when I shared that the origins and purpose of SDP and Cake Day (even more so when I told them that I didn’t know if any other CPs in Alberta or even across Canada were doing this).
Keep up the good work, everyone! You make such a difference in the quality of life of so many people and are a bright light for me each day.

Happy 19th of the month
Random Acts Of Kindness day
The local person who delivered your cake is part of a small worldwide army
who follow the daily progress of Service Dog Project 's Great Danes-- thanks
to the six Explore, org cameras on a farm in Ipswich Massachusetts .
This SDP / Explore.org community is extremely loyal and generous-and supportive
in so many ways- including random acts of kindness-- like delivering a cake to
First Responders on the 19th of the month.
In appreciation.... Happy 19th

Our tree climber/cutter downer was here yesterday and made a wondrful mess of cutting off all teh dead limbs from these trees
it makes the vision of lovely cared for trees without all that deadwood- big mess on the ground--- but i think we have a corporate group coming in a week -- and they can drag and haul all those branches to the deadwood pile.-- ( closely related to the firewood pile if it is hardwood) they might even get to use teh log splitter.. which city folk think is fun... usually.
