LOTSA CUT AND PASTE-- AFTER  THE FINN/EVE  REPORT WHY  SHOULD I BOTHER WRITING A DD?????

****************
Finn's 1st Day of School!!
Both Eve and Finn had a great day!
Despite the distraction of having Finn with her she still got her work plan done! Her teacher thought Eve may even have been more focused than she usually is!!!! She even wrote an amazing poem today which she gave me permission to share.
Today is PAM day (infusion to make her bones stronger) she is not a fan of PAM day but the IV is in and meds are flowing. So Eve, me & ALL our furry friends are chilling on the couch!

Here’s her poem

I am an inspiration
I wonder of everything
I hear the voice of God
I see in more colors imagined
I want equality
I am a poem

I pretend I have dragons
I feel happiness
I touch the clouds
I worry when I am scared
I cry when I’m sad
I am awesome

I understand God’s word
I say what I think
I dream for emotion
I try to change the world
I hope for peace
I am a poem

AFTER THAT , I FEEL IT LESS THAN APPROPRIATE TO GET ON WITH BUSINESS- BUT I HAD ONE GEM OF WISDOM I THOUGHT PEOPLE SHOULD CONSIDER...  THERE IS A LONG ATICLE ON PET HEALTH INSURANCE IN THE NY TIMES( IN THE LAST WEEK?)  TEH ARTICLE INCLUDES A QUPTE FROM CONSUMERS REPORTS  ---CONSUMERS REPORT SUGGESTS SELF INSURED PET INSURANCE..
WHEN WE STARTED SDP.... WE INSISTED APPLICANTS /RECIPIENTS START A SEPARATE BANK ACCOUNT  IN CASE OF  MEDICAL EMERGENCY--- AND WE GOT AWAY FROM INSISTING--  BUT YOU KNOW.........SO I WOULD LIKE TO ONCE AGAIN ASK EVERY ONE WITH ONE OF OUR DOGS- TO OPEN A SEPARAATE SAVINGS ACCOUNT AND PUT 20 OR 30 DOLLARS A MONTH IN IT...-  APPARENTLY THE PET INSURANCE THEY QUOTED COST ABOUT $22 A MONTH- BUT THE ARTICLE CONCLUDES THAT CONSIDERING WHAT IS COVERED AND NOT COVERED, OWNERS WOULD BE BETTER TO SELF INSURE WITH A SAVINGS ACCOUNT..  WE DO DONATE THESE DOGS TO RECIIENTS, AND KEEPING TRACK OF WHO ACTUALLY HAD STARTED  SAVINGS ACCOUNT FOR THE DOG GOT TOO CONFUSING FRO  ME TO KEEP TRACK OF.
HOWEVER---- NOW WE ARE BIGGER AND MORE ORGANIZED, I WILL LOOK FOR SOMEONE TO KEEP TRACK OF WHO HAS ACTUALLY SENT US PROOF OF AT LEAST $2000 STASHED AWAY FOR EMERGENCIES VET CARE...   THAT COULD EASILY BE A REQUIREMENT FOR APPLYING FOR A DOG.. AND MAYBE  WE SHOLD MAKE IT SUCH..

WHEN IT COMES TO MAKING A DECISION OF WHO GETS WHAT DOG- AND I SIT HERE WITH A BUNCH OF PAPERS TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT.. IF ONE PERSON HAS SAVED UP AN EMERGENCY FUND-- AND TEH OTHER SAYS   ,"I  JUST DIDN'T GET AROUND TO IT YET"--- GUESS WHAT MY DECISION WILL BE.

BLOAT- THO NOT COMMON- CAN HAPPEN WITHNO WARNING- AND EVERY 24 HOUR VET SERVICE I KNOW OF INSISTS ON  PAYMENT WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT THE DOOR... AND I NEVER WANT ANY OF OUR DOGS LEFT IN THE WAITING ROOM WHILE SOMEONE TRIES TO GET A BANK CHECK..

YOU THINK I AM KIDDING?????
TRUE STORY....
RECIPIENT "A" ,  A VETERAN,   AND DOG "B"-- SUDDENLY BEFORE DINNER WAS SERVED, "B"  SHOOK HIS HEAD- AND MUST HAVE BROKEN A BLOOD VESSLE IN HIS NOSE SOMEWHERE..  BLOOD SPATTERED ALL OVER... AND IT DID NOT QUIT.. IT TICKLED AS IT DRIPPED... SO "B" SHOOK HIS HEAD MANY TIMES--- "A" REALIZED IT WAS NOT QUITTING AND RAN FOR THE 24 HOUR VET HOSPITAL ( LEAVING HER SON TO COME HOME TO A BLOOD SPATTERED KITCHEN AND CALLING 911... BUT THAT IS A SEPARATE STORY)SHE GOT THERE- WITHOUT  HER WALLET- AND  EVEN THO SHE SAID SHE HAD INSURANCE FROM THE VA, SHE  COULD NOT PROVE IT ( VA OFFICE OPEN 9-4  MON TO FRI) . AND THEY  LEFT HER SITTING INT HE WAITING ROOM WITH DOG'S NOSE STEADILY DRIPPING... SHE WAS PANIC'D THAT WHATEVER BLOOD VESSEL IT WAS WOULD LET GO BIG TIME AND IT WOULD BEGIN TO SPURT..-- HAVING PTSD ANF A FEW OTHER THINGS, SHE GOT NOISY AND THEY THREW HER OUT... WHICH IS WHEN SHE CALLED ME---

I LOCATED GEORGE ( WHO LIVES NEXT TO THE HOSPITAL)AND GOT HIM UP - TOLD "A" TO RUN ... QUIETLY ... FOR DANVERS ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND GEORGE AND I WOULD MEET HER THERE-- AND I WOULD BRING A BLOOD DONOR.. JUST IN CASE... I GRABBED CHAOS ( A BIG HEALTHY DOG-- COULD SPARE A LOSS OF A FEW CALORIES GIVING BLOOD) .  "A" ARRIVED AND WE ALL STOOD AROUND WATCHING THE STEADY DRIP..  I MAY NOT HAVE THIS EXACTLY CORRECT,  BUT GEORGE DECIDED TO GIVE THE DOG SOME ANESTHESIA OF SOME SORT ON THE THEORY THAT  WHILE UNDER GENERALLY THE BLOOD PRESSURE DROPS???  ( HE'S GONNA KILLL  ME IF I HAVE THIS WRONG).. SO WE SAT AROUND FOR A LONG TIME DRINKING COFFEE-  SOLVING THE PROBLEMS OF THE WORLD---WHILE THE DRIP TURNED TO A TRICKLE AND THEN QUIT.
"A"  AND "B" CAME TO THE FARM SNAD SLEPT IN A KENNEL TOGETEHRSO SHE COULD KEEPHIM AUIET..

NOW THE PART  THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN... WE WERE LUCKY ----  "A" WAS A VETERAN OF SOME SPECIAL FORCE VARITYE AND WAS VERY CAREFULL TRAINED BY OUR GOVERNMENT TO WEAR A KNIFE IN HER SOCK.. AND .TO   STRIKE AND KILL WHEN NEEDED.
LET ME TELL YOU ,, IF I WAS A RECEPTIONIST I WOULD NOT DREAM OF  UPSETTING A VETERAN  WHO FEARED FOR THE LIFE OF THIER SERVICE DOG.

I EVEN HAVE SECOND THOUGHTS IF ANYONE WANTS TO CUT IN FRONT OF ME IN A SUPERMNARKET LINE- I ALWAYS SAY "GO RIGHT AHEAD..."
THERE ARE TOO MANY NUTS OUT THERE TO DO OTHERWISE...

A BANK ACCOUNT THAT COULD BE VERIFIED ONLINE WOULD SOLVE ANY PROBLME OF THAT  KIND...

EXPERIENCE COMES FROM BAD EXPERIENCE...

From Pixie and Stacy's Journey Together:

Today was not such a fun day and one I think I'll pass on and I'm sure Pixie would agree with me. I had let Pixie out for her morning run we noticed some blood then saw she had cut her nail poor nail good. We brought her to the vet and they had to remove most of her nail😢she did a good break even underneath and all the way up farther then we thought. They had to sedated my poor girl for it. It was a super long day for both Pixie and I as she was in the back and I sat in the waiting room from 12 till I gin sly got her back at 5:30. I even had a hard time leaving her.

We sat back to trace how this happened we are more then positive that this happened by how she loves to run and jump back onto the deck she must have clipped it just right. We are going to be Pixie proofing our deck and I will be training her to stop her running prior to the deck entrance. I don't ever want to see my sweet girl go through this again. It just broke my heart. We will be taking it easy this week so she can rest and heal. We have one appointment to attend to which is my chemo tomorrow and then back home for a week of rest to follow her doctors orders. Sweet Pixie is home and resting all tucked in and nice and cozy. 🐾🐶

Pixie has been told she is on break this week to heal though if I anything to do of course she will be w me but I'll use my family more for help so she can heal properly. When I got her back my son Tyler said to me " mom look at her worried about helping you after all she went through and having an injury

and a cast on" she truly is one amazing dog.
