January 8, 2013

BEING CALENDARESTICLY  CHALLANGED.. I WISH MY COMPUTE WOULD MAKE MORE OF AN EFFORT TO HELP.. IT TELLS ME IT IS 1/8/13    WHICH DOES NOT HELP WHEN MY PILL CARRIER AND THE EMPLOYEE SCHEDULE AROUND HERE IS MON TUES WED  TYPE CONNOTATION.    MY OLD COMUTER WOULD TELL ME IT WAS TUESDAY JAN 8TH  AND LEAVE OUT THE YEAR.

I CAN APROXIMATE THE YEAR BETTER THAN THE DAY OF THE WEEK.

WE LEAVE TOMORROW..  WED---.YESTERDAY I HAD THE DAY WRONG....
WE  ARE RELATIVELY READY -- I HAD MY HAIR CUT.
***************************

MY OTHER ON GOING PROBLEM IS THE DREADFUL SMELL  IN MY TOP LEFT DRAWER.  TWICE NOW I HAVE EMPTIED IT AND  WASHED TH E  WOOD IN MURPHY'S--WIPED STUFF OFF--- PUT IT BACK AND A WEEK LATER A HORRIBLE MENTHOP SMELL.

THIS WAS MY FATHER'S OAK DESK- AND IT DID NOT ORIGIONALLY HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
BUT IT SURE DOES NOW.
AND THAT IS THE DRAWER THAT HAS ALL THE DAILY SUPPLIES  STAPLER    CALCULATOR  LENS CLEANERS  ----- EVERY TIJME I OPEN IT I HAVE FORGOTTEN IT SMELLS-- AND GET THE PAINFUL  REMINDER.

THERE IS NO REASON FOR IT TO STINK.  WE HAVE GIVEN THE SNIFF TEST TO THE REST OF THE DESK...
**********************

NOW FOR THE DOG TYPE PROBLEMS

THE ITCH ( ON THE DOGS) SEEMS REMARKABLY BETTER... THEY DON'T LOOK QUITE SO  HOMELESS--  JUST SLIGHTLY BALDING-- AND I HAVE NOT SEEN THEM SCRATCH AS MUCH.

THE FACT THAT THEY MUST BE PROVIDED WITH BEDS OFF THE FLOOR, MEANS THAT THIS HOUSE IS VERY NEARLY COVERED WITH 6" TALL BEDS----   WHERE YOU ACTUALLY WALK AND TRY AND SWEEP ON A SUB-FLOOR ..

AND TOMORROW... I HAVE TO PROVIDE AS CLOSE AS I CAN TO THAT ON TH E PLANE FOR LULU  -- ANY DANE--- WHEN YOU TELL THEM TO LIE DOWN,---  WILL LOOK AT YOU WITH THE  "ON THAT HARD SURFACE??   " LOOK-------.AND IF YOU PUT DOWN A KLEENEX  THEY WILL TRY AND FIT THIER BODY ON IT.

***************

I HAVE MADE UP  BEDS FOR EARLENE AND PAUL WHO WILL BE STAYING HERE WHILE WE ARE GONE.

IN THIS HOUSE--  YOU HAVE TO CHECK ON THE CONDITION OF TH E  GUEST ROOM BEDS... ONE YEAR I PULLED BACK WHAT I THOUGHT WERE CLEAN SHEETS ONLY TO FIND A BED FULL OF ACORNS-- LUCKILY NO  CRITTER-- JUST ACORNS..   BUT THE POSIBILITY IS STILL THERE.

*****************
NOW IT IS ABOUT THE CONDITION OF TH E REST OF THIS HOUSE...

TO PUT IT MILDLY... IT IS FULL.  THE OVERFLOW ROOM NOW HAS AN OVERFLOW ROOM OF IT'S OWN.

I HAD SAID IF WE GOT TH EBED OUT OF THAT ROOM I COULD PUT DOWN A VINYL FLOOR-WHICH IS THE ONLY THING FOR THIS PLACE...
WELL THE BED IS GONE-  BUT THERE IS NO FLOOR SHOWING-- AND FURTHERMORE   THERE IS NO PLACE TO PUT THE STUFF TO GET THE FLOOR INSTALLED.-- IF WE MOVE IT ALL INTO THE OFFICE/ YOU COUD NOT GET IN THE FRONT DOOR..

THIS IS A PROBLEM.
THE OTHER PROBLEM IS, IT IS STUFF WE USE AND NEED.-
OUR NEEDS ARE MANY AND VARIED.
*******************

ANNE AND I DID MEET WITH A  501 C 3 TYPE LAWYER  TO TRY AND FIGURE OUT HOW TO GIVE CONTINUNITY TO SDP IF I SHOULD BE CAUGHT IN A EARTHQUAKE- (WHICH IS THE REASON I HARDLY EVER GO TO CALIFORNIA)
HE MADE ALOT OF SUGGESTIONS WHICH ANNE WROTE DOWN -- AND I JUST NODDED-

(WE HAVE 6 HOURS  ON THE PLANE TOMORROW TO FIGURE OUT WHAT ON EARTH HE WAS TALKING ABOUT.)
*******************
BECKY IS DUE HERE TODAY-- I WAS ALL SET FOR HER TO BE ONE OF OUR BEST FRIENDS-- AND SHE LEFT AND FORGOT TO COME BACK-- SHE HAS STANLEY--- AND APPARENT,Y WILL BE BACK TODAY-

SHE HAS A SCREWED UP MEMORY LIKE ALOT OF THE REST OF US HERE.
********************************

JUST SO WE DON'T LOOSE TRACK OF WHY WE ARE DOING ALL THIS--- HERE IS A CHARLIE REPORT

You have to excuse me, I my memory is terrible and I loose concentration easy. I started my last email to discuss leashing. I got lost in thought, I use a leash when I am out in public because I feel obligated but it just hangs on his neck and I tie off the lead to his harness. I use hand and verbal commands and very seldom have to grab the leash to enforce anything. This was very difficult for me to learn but I picked this up from Carlene, I found, with her teaching, that talking to Charlie works out so much better. I don't know about the rest of you but I make eye contact with him, or he does with me all the time and we communicate great. I have learned so much from both Carlene and Megan it is unbelievable. Let your dog work is sometimes the hardest thing to do but if you are lucky enough to have a SDP dog like Charlie, you know what a Great Dane nose shuffle is. Charlie watching over his buddy. God Bless!
