NOW ABOUT YESTERDAY'S PROJECT.... THE RICE COOKER..... I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE WORLD HAS AGAINST A 60 CUP COMMERCIAL RICE COOKER--- BUT I WAS AT  THE COMPUTER FOR OVER AN HOUR TRYING TO GET ONE IN SOME KIND OF SHOPPING CART.... AND FINALLY GAVE IT TO   Les & Skip Karwacki  HERE IS HIS REPORT...

Carlene,
This is to let you know that the 60 cup Rice cooker has been ordered and will be shipped to us (Les & Skip Karwacki) and we will see that it gets to SDP. I should point out that the cooker is actually a Proctor-Silex made by Hamilton Beach. Had an adventure getting it ordered and shipped. I went to the Sears store here in Salem and had found the item on their ”Item Finder” computer console when a helpful stock boy got off a nearby elevator an offered to help. When he couldn’t find it on the floor he directed me to a checkout to have them order it. They had to get a supervisor who also could not figure out how to order it. She finally got her supervisor who could not get the order through either. They were all very courteos and helpful but could not solve the problem. He did point out that the item was a “Marketplace” sold at the eTundra Specialties site and advertised at Sears, but he could not get to their site. I decided to try eTundra from my home computer directly and was able to get to the website and find the item. I also was able to get the website from the Sears page. Suffice it to say I ordered it, and it is on its way. Hope you all have great day tomorrow at “Sunday Stew” and hope to see you soon. If you have any questions please call us.

IT WASN'T EASY FOR HIM EITHER

GOAL OF THE DAY --A SIMPLE SOUNDING ONE-- CLEAN OFF THE MANTLE PLACE--  IT IS THE PERSONIFICATION OF "CLUTTER WILL ACCUMULATE TO FILL AVAILABLE SPACE"

THE FIRST ITEM I CAME TO -- STOPPED THE WHOLE PROJECT.
I HAVE ABOUT A QUART OF DEAD BUGS--- MOSTLY MOSQUITOS--- LOVINGLY COLLECTED BY A $19  FAN BLOWING OUT OF THE DOG HOUSE AND INTO $1.29 PIECE OF NETTING.;  THAT  COLLECTION  DEVICE STOOD WITHIN 10' OF ONE OF THOSE  $500 MOSQUITO MAGNETS WITH IT'S  LITTLE CONTAINER OF" MOSQUITO ATTRACTANT"   DURRING THE SAME TIME PERIOD THE $500 JOB COLLECTED A TEASPOON OF BUGS.... VS THE  QUART OF  MECHANICALLY COLLECTED BUGS.

SO THAT QUART OF DEAD BUGS SERVES TO REMIND ME--"DO NTO BELIEVE WHAT ADVERTISERS TELL YOU..."

JUST ONE OTHER TIDBIT WITH MY MOSQUITO PROJECT---- AT ONE POINT IN EXPERIMANTAL STAGE... I TOOK  THE NET FULL OF LIVE BUGS, TWISTED THE TOP SO I HAD THEM CAPTURED, AND SPRAYED IT WITH RAID- AND WENT TO BED... NEXT MORNING  THERE WAS NOT ONE DEAD BUG--- THEY WERE ALIVE AND HEALTHY EVEN AFTER  12 HOURS OF BEING SOAKED IN "BUG KILLER"

SO ENDETH THE LESSON OF THE DAY....
