Yesterday's parade got totally out of hand and totally enjoyable for everybody concerned mostly because of the cow and he's not a cow he is a zebu and he doesn't have a great big Abscess on his shoulders that's his hump at any rate I followed the directions and found Janine pulled into a tiny alleyway behind the house with that great big long trailer and everybody trying to get into the dress that she had bought and apparently she's the only one that fitted this is going to be a problem because she was she was supposed to be leading the cow vibo and somebody else was supposed to be leaving the Unicorn as a fairy well that all fell apart and because the only one that fit the dress was Janine and the only one to leave the Unicorn no the the cow( the zebu) was Janine because we really didn't know how he is going to behave and a happy cow is easily as dangerous as a mean one with those horns I have seen him have a happy moment where he gets his head down and jumps around in a circle bucking which is fine he's not after anybody but those horns are still attached to his head... so it just seemed logical that Janine be the one to manage him in the parade and since we've never done this with him before and we had no idea... but he was perfect. I mean really perfect and she in the dress walked him down the middle of the street detached from the Unicorn which was being led by maybe Elizabeth into the crowd so everybody could pat it etcetera etcetera and the whole performance went fine it's just it wasn't really put together logically... which means that we've discovered that we can take that Elvis almost anywhere.. in the limiting aspect is not his size or his horns or his behavior it's the quantity of urine that he might produce he apparently contains quite a bit which outside is not a problem but we just can't cope with that sort of thing inside.. For all who saw him take the pause that refreshes they were astounded at the quantity produced alright that is a limiting factor.. I have a too much urine story... I think the performance had something to do with Don Quixote but I was requested to bring a draft horse and a donkey to the Emerson theater in Boston to be on stage briefly. I was concerned about the draft horse weighing 2000 lbs but I was assured the floor was fine. so in the wind up I was put on one side the stage with the donkey and Linda Murphy was on the other side with the draft horse Duke who was one of the lead team at one point of the Walt Disney hitch it was bomb proof which was fine but as the performance started and preceded Duke had to pee. As Duke proceeded to take the typical posture for a boy horse to empty his bladder Linda scraped around looking for something help in this process we have we had no bucket ready but there was my brand new LL bean jacket which she very nicely threw down on the floor to even attempt to collect or contain the deluge. I still have that jacket it's been through many washings... And as I've said so many times experience comes from bad experiences.. so when someone even mentioned the fact that our miniature zebu seemed to have a huge bladder I think we should pay attention to that.. That night at the theater was famous for one more episode---I got 3 parking tickets at once because that trailer took up an awful lot of space and we didn't have the coins to put in the little meters.. moving on
fortunately Bella is paying attention ziti and mentioned the heart wormer pill and things like that and yes we do have some catching up to do on that she has had a couple shots for distemper and parvo I think they're called the C5 shot
but bell was on it. and I think they have a veterinarian's office right next door to where they live so I think hope that she will handle it that way... even though I miss discussing things with the Wednesday vet..
I believe we have a job today--- or at least someone does it being a rainy day I don't know as it would be outside so I don't think taking our zebo would be a good idea.. but he is now on the list of available....
along those lines Janine is looking for a girl zebu preferably a baby girl zebu so that we can hand feed it and get it used to this sort of nonsense.. we do have a girl zebo currently but she was wild to start with and she's not a lot better now he certainly is not something you wanna take into a crowd..
and I need to order two brass balls for himself... he had brass balls on the ends of his horns at one point but they did come off and get lost they really were quite attractive and a bit useful ohh damn horns have boys on the end but good old smuckers harness shop in Pennsylvania is where I bought the last pair of balls so I will try that again.
