gSomehow we have to figure out how to get this in front of Bill Cummings we are doing a heck of a job I don't see anybody else even approaching what we do for a fee or free it doesn't we are good at this our animals are gorgeous and we do like sharing them and you guys do like supporting them apparently which is the other key part if we can get Mr. Cummings to help then we can solidify the whole operation if you will..

there are parts that you cannot believe like yesterday our number one animal handler Janine spent two hours out washing the fences because they were getting slightly green with mold which is the problem they had over at Meredith farms and why they took them down but she was out there with her bottle of Clorox washing fences well we need we need more volunteers we need help doing odd jobs like that

Somehow you can't put out a request for volunteers to come and wash the fences but there are jobs like that where there's no animal experience necessary other than you'll be around all the animals that are inside those fences and you'll make the place better looking for those people who come from these adult care centers.. we don't want to look shabby but molding fences is just one of those details there's a lot of details....

yesterday's daily doggy got all screwed up because we forgot I was due to have a surgery on my head which they did and I had to sit around the waiting room while they looked at it to be sure they've gotten it all something about margins clean]]]] which it was and I could go home but all of that took about 5 hours and the worst part of that is overnight I thought I had a mosquito on my forehead so I slapped it that woke me right up because that hurt big time.

Moving on we have submitted to the lawyers our requirements for moving on which were due by 11:00 this morning at last time we had to do something like this it was three weeks later that we got a response from the judge. so don't anybody hold your breath. December cannot come fast enough.  and we have started or I have started making plans---may I call them January plans.... to basically run at least 2 units Into these daycare centers heaven knows there's the need. and we can do a way lower job it just Essex and Middlesex County...  there are so many daycare centers for all ages..  and all of the activities directors who work for these daycare centers are totally stressed out because they just cannot come up with eight hours worth of entertainment seven days a week or even six days a week.. so for us to appear on at least one of those days it is such a huge help to them and to their clients that we really must try and keep going... I see where a lot of you have jumped onto the wagon helping us out with the $10 donations. I do have a bunch of checks to enter which will be quick picks but we have two days  don’t we? 30 days hath septembe4?????

Apparently it's larkis 4th birthday thank you all for reminding me...  he is an awfully good dog yesterday we ended up in the city of Lynn at some church on eastern Ave. Which had some gathering to get school supplies for children I don't know what that had to do with us but we were there we were there with with two horses the goat and the two dogs which bind you is 2 vehicles and the trailer and four people and of course we didn't charge there's no charge because all you people are supporting us and please don't forget it I just checked and we are about 50% sold out and those $10 donations are literally what keep us rolling and to be sold out is a comfortable margin of expenses for the month that's no salary for me but I am known to get mango smoothies free of charge actually there's one woman in Danvers when we do the school ohh how do we say this educationally challenged school whatever will we do that school she puts a wad of bills in somebody's hand which would enables us to go get a smoothie or ice cream or something.... we like that but officially we do these jobs for no charge because you people support us now somehow we've got to get to Mr. Cummings who I'm sure this is his kind of thing in the deep in the community and he could help support us for more than $10-----    but we'll make it with what we got \

Apparently also--this job was connected to the job we did last year for someone who wanted to see a horse

as a dying wish that we ended up going I think it was Marblehead and while we were there it seems the entire housing development came out to enjoy the horse and dogs that same woman well was somehow involved with the church in Lynn...  so we do get around

 

getting around that particular day involved going home by way of judy’s house in Swampscott--- what a beautiful home she has how can I describe it she had a leaf blower on a table in the yard to blow the dust off the table...  but it awful lot of cobblestones bricks stones in general all laid perfectly... And her dog watched from an upstairs window as larkey peed in his yard..  she made smoothies for all of us and Janine pointed out we have no business paying $8 per smoothie at the store in topsfield It seems you can buy the mango syrup and frozen mango pieces to be ground up w

ith a bit of milk and end up with a perfect smoothie... and for $8 we better learn how to do this because the five of us drinking smoothies in her yard would have cost $40 in topsfield and these were every bit as good

 

. It being Larkin's birthday has given me the idea for today's newspaper article...  I think I can do an interesting 400 words on mo...  and I have an interesting picture of mo.  doing a tug of war with 20 kids.  

writing that newspaper article it's not as easy as it sounds that was supposed to have it in by noon on Saturday0000 I don't know

We have some hugely talented people “out there”—of late I have mentioned  cloud and her efficiency is better than most efficient people I have ever known but I have to come along with a second person Lynne. ... with an E... She was the one that did over a year of nightly noise reports so we could figure out exactly who barked when and why... and found out that left alone to their ohh resources the Roosters got up pretty definitely at 4:10 in the morning.. but if you slam car doors at 2:00 AM they were v very accommodating and would start in start in at 2:01 AM.lynnE created an image of how she sees Gokdy—abd you know... Janine said that is exactly how she feels—

Court is today  ... not yesterday as previousy thought.... so we ended up at our lawyers mothers assisted living place and took two dogs and too many horses me back and I believe Judy went into her room with them not all at once but if we didn't do that then we certainly will next time-- I heard about needing to go there.

 

we had the two mini horses loose in A room --large room with maybe 40 people in wheelchairs..  and me in a regular chair.. and my job was to steer the two horses around the room by throwing those apple treats in any specific direction and I was supposed to keep the two horses going in opposite directions.

 it can be done they'll chase the little cookie pieces all over the floor... 

 

all of that changes  today is plans which are for me to have a blood test at 830 

the. senior job today is face no what the hell is it is Rrainbow is rainbow coming to the farm and then we have to be at court at 11:00. should be doable..

rainbow is a lively group so elizabeth and judy should have fun with them.

Twice in my life I've been reduced so hysterical laughter ----the first was Johnny Carson.. when he had someone there who was gonna throw an axe at the picture of a person and he threw the axe and it landed right in the crotch of the cardboard person and Johnny Carson immediately said “I didn't know you was Jewish”---- it was said so quickly and so correctly I thought it was very funny..

 

so yesterday we're sitting at the mango Slurpee place and there was a dollar bill on the ground which a  Mr. Stewart picked up and handed  it to Janine--

who without hesitation said “do I have to dance for it or may I keep it?”

 

I thought we were all set with logos but apparently there are two more ideas floating around and one of them is a ghost actually in the drawer and the debate on that one has to do with whether or not it should have eyelashes I mean this stuff goes on for a long time but we're working on it...

 

Speaking of going on for a long time Janine and I are due in court this morning to answer questions I've forgotten exactly why--- doesn't matter---- we will go..  my first question would be why is anyone able to require us to be in court at 11:00..  and require maybe the wrong word---- I'm not sure on this stuff but another case I'm supposed to look clean and tidy and in Lawrence by 11:00.. I think there is a serious effort to carry out all this crap until I die off---I know that an awful lot of this stuff that they asked me last time I had to give a deposition was stuff that they should have been able to look up themselves

things like what did I have for breakfast in 2009..  things like that.

 

The word frivolous comes to mind often these days. interesting tho.....It is an education...   never did I think....

this leaves elizabeth judy and carlie.  with 2 mini horses 

( they are and have been absolutely perfect) going to a very nice assisted living place   with 2 dogs in the car somehow,,,,

should be fine-- this is our “professional..” group of horse and dog...

 

Dd 7 24.well... now there is a whole bunch of new stuff that I must not talk about in my daily doggie... because they want me whipped back in actual court on Thursday...ok .. here we go again..... I am beginning  to get to know the security guards at the courthouse...

 

Apparently eve won some award in dance --- in mayber dubai.. or far away the other photo I must share is of nick “at the beach”---  or at least at a pile of sand!

The report on my  yesterdays deposition WITH THE SDP LAWYER  ?  Best summed up with. “you mean you can not remember who put that. Paper on yo ur desk?”

And the paper referred to a discussion between Tom and I ----- IN 2009  !!! HECK I CAN NOT REMEMBER YESTERDAY VERY QUICKDLY. AND  YOU WANT 2009????  I SWEAR HE IS HOPING TO  OUTLIVE ME...I THINK THE TERM IS  FRIVIOLOUS ---- AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT... THERE IS A STATE OFFICE THAT DEALS WITH FRIVOULOUS LAWYERING. ALONG WITH. ELDER ABUSE.... RIDICULING ME FOR NOT REMEMBERING WHO DID WHAT TO MY DESK IN 2009.... ANOTHER WASTED 4 HOURS.

 

Meanwhile we have a full booking for the week something to do every day and today is that bunch of kids--- WITH LACKEY AND   ?A CHICKEN??   I think it's NEC that place in Danvers we're basically they have one big room and they rotate their groups through that room and we just stay there.. or outside under the trees whatever.. it is also very noted for that place where someone slipped $100 bill in our pocket...WE DON’T CHARGE... BUT THAT WAS LOVELEY ICE CREAM MONEY...

 

Yesterday Elizabeth reported the larkey had survived 70 admirers patting him--  and he's the primary attraction AGAIN today.. I have a doctor's appointment and then we'll probably go to Danvers and catch up with the “OTHER GROUP OF LARKEY AND WANDA???.. I am a little concerned that larkey is getting overly paTTED. and just might be getting tired of the thing.... alternately he could be loving it but I think with this heavy dose of community service we should be very aware of what he thinks of the project.  

 

Meanwhile trying to figure out exactly what we can do with those cycles--  they are super--but that's on the flat--they don't do hills willing willingly so we're going to need to figure it out.

I have several announcements to make. firstly coffee with two sugars and yogurt is better than coffee with two sugars black psychologically it's probably anything to whiten it however 2nd announcement is I think we have finally decided on things like logos and I will put that hopefully at the end of this I'll struggle very hard to copy and paste it um but any rate at that point we have Janine and I solved quite a few problems between here and Meredith farm it's the only time you have Janine attention and I've now have to find a dark yellow color shirt but I am going to be ordering not a massive amount of shirts but a few I don't know how much they're gonna cost because I haven't figured that out yet um but we are moving forward finally not having decided on what the name is that that that slowed me up for a while but we now have a name and a 501C3 number and things like that so we're all set to go forward if we stop arguing about how dark a yellow it should be..

the second discussion what about those friends of mine in the nursing home--a very nice nursing home they hate it...  and I really feel it who's me at least get over there and see why they hate it.

Hope was a backbone of my circus project... And I can't imagine her with nothing to do so I must go and find out.... which brings me to janine's comment about elderly parents with her what do you do with them well Janine you do the same thing as we did with tidy children you keep them warm and fed make sure they don't hurt themselves somehow

I remember.. I went to see high school friend in Marlborough New York... It was a lovely day

and somebody's father either her father or his father was just kind of wandering around the backyard looking for a potato and I thought that was appropriate and I was impressed---because I'm sure the device start wandering around looking for a potato there are about 25 people who would love to shove me into a nursing home when I really would be much better off just wandering around... At the moment the doctors can see nothing wrong with me that wasn't wrong already but I can see changes that should be at least noticed-- like when I changed my glance from the TV to my desk sometimes there is a split second for the desk to slide up into place it's a little weird but I have noticed that in the last couple weeks.  If I wasn't so old I probably wouldn't even have noticed.

I do have a virtual business with these monkey fists.. and I thoroughly enjoy it they take me under 10 minutes to make the string has to cost probably $0.10 and the little snap bought in quantities is a dollar and 1/4 and as I hand them to somebody and explain that it's a monkey fist to throw a rope between two ships--but this one is a zipper pull it has a marble in it so if you think you've lost your marbles you have one left... invariably it gets a chuckle which is fun..

Should anyone want to start making these things the hard part was matching the size of the marble to the size of the string and in my case I'm using 1/2 an inch marble and a #60 size string which I get from R&W rope it may be Bedford MA... the little snap which is absolutely perfect comes from the buckle guys. in Newburyport so there you are you can now all get into business also.

I thught Janine was nutts to buy 2wild sounding bike type things that had to be peddled by someone ---while someone else sat in a chair I complained about the money she spent which I think was $1000 and then another 500 to get them repaired or something I mean the whole thing sounded ridiculous=====however yesterday we went to pick up one of them with the horse trailer and you know they are pretty unique and I can see I can say we will make use of them I wish we had them for that parade they would have been perfect and certainly we do need to get banners made which I will work on today so they know where they come from where they've come from.  and she's going over to feed Meredith right now and I'm told that she will be back after 9:00 and they're going to drive me around in these funny pedal bikes sometime after 9:00..  I have to admit there will be times when these things would be hysterical... while at the same time being useful to carry around people who are not the kind of people who walk,.. she also has mentally lined up several bike groups to find people who can peddle the damn things   so we now have two of them and we will be trying them out today..

 

As for my do not trespass signs --the process goes like this you pick up the forms at the police station you fill them out and then you get them in the hands of the person involved either by hand delivery by a sheriff or signed receipt or whatever that is from the post office and then you take it back to the Police Department and if the person is on your land then they can be arrested. No complicated lawyers no nothing..  so we are in phase two at the moment where they probably are refusing to sign for having received the mail so therefore I will go and get a whatever you call them sheriff to hand deliberate or the police.

 

For a very strange reason I did just this week see the office of Essex County sheriff. so I know where that is and we'll get on it on Monday morning/.

 

Well actually not Monday morning because Monday morning I have to give a deposition underoath I've forgotten exactly what SDP is accused  ne of.... but somehow having spent literally a fortune on establishing service dog project for some reason I'm being cross questioned about individual expenses I don't know. Maybe it was the time I paid for 12 pizzas for volunteers.   and I ate two slices myself and that would be illegal.  My allotted percentage should have been only 1 3/4 pieces of pizza..,.  how could I be so foolish

 

my serious job of the day is to get some banners  made which means I've got to get our logo I'm sure it's and things like that the logo is fine we're set on that we have a wonderful logo the part I'm missing is the funny little dancing woman who we could portray as Goldie. the ghost of the left hand drawer there is such a thing and I have seen it but I don't know where Janine got it and if I can get permission to use it so that's my job ----keep the faith

So here we go again on the great search for puppies.. There are so many wild ideas and trying to find a puppy that I think I've come to... if the first thing they want is that deposit then it could be they don't have any puppies in the first place----- there are several marketplaces for everybody to look and how about it I'm not sure I have time today I'm told Elizabeth has something to look at but it is not easy particularly when you have a requirement like well like a pretty firm request for a harl female-for the perfectly good silly reason is that they photograph well... and everywhere we go even if we're not trying to get a photograph to put it in the newspaper everybody takes pictures of the day care person with the puppy to give to their family.. so photography is a big part of this..  then after I've had a puppy for a couple weeks it's usually pretty well trained and we got to reassess what exactly we want to do with it could someone make it into a service dog or therapy dog or canine good citizen something.

I had a very bad experience couple days ago..  those two days where the temperature just was  awful.... higher than normal shall we say and we had guests coming or the least signed up to come so we wanted the place to look good and the grass needed cutting--- since we were told the tractors were not functioning and no one seemed to have a key Janine started in with the push mowers in the brutal heat,,,,and she struggled one hour at a time and then came in and get hydrogenated again she struggled with getting the place at least looking decent. . so to find out that someone from SDP  had the tractor key and sat around in air conditioned comfort and watched her struggle in that brutal. heat...... did not sit too well with me.. so I've decided if you can't smile and share ---I don't want you here-- smiling and sharing does not seem like an unreasonable request.  

the police have suggested we avoid any contact with SDP for the next few months and the court  told us if anyone got unreasonable to just take out a do not trespass on each problem individual.  I will do that. There is a second driveway #45 where the kennel area can be accessed via the trail I have left for the neighbors to access the willodale state forest—there is an unlocked gate in the fence.. behind the giraffe tent.

If you have a handicpped permit, then by all means you are welcome to park down by the flag and ICU.

While the rest of us are trying to work together, maybe you don’t know. But after every 36 (or so) times a car drives over that wire, it cuts off my internet. Which means it is not a simple turn. It back on... but reset all my passwords...and THAT -is one of my least favorite pastimes.. so I ask once again, please when you come to #37 Boxford rd,  park in the parking pit—or along the driveway on the hill as you come off the road... and . .. if you can manage a cheery “good morning” you may walk thru the area between the 2 houses,,,

. it is actually a shorter distance to the kennel area thru the gate in the parking pit, and walk across the flat field.—that is 100% easier than the other driveway to #45.

I like “Stouffers” frozen packages for quick lunch..so I bought 7 and pulled tuna noodle casserole for lunch... The package looked inviting with us piled up noodles, And then I opened the package ----  well the contents were absolutely flat there were no bumps breaking the surface of this semi soupy stuff..  I tried piling up solid contents in a pile to see if it looked like the carton.. it had very little success so I started to analyze it..  typical 86 year old not any hurry to go anywhere...

 

I pulled out the peas---I could see them they were green---there were six of them so I put them on my plate and tried to find some other identifiable food object..  there was one piece of sliced mushroom about 3/4 “ diameter so I put that on my plate along with the somewhat lonely 6 peas. The card that said celery ---well I could find none—my criteria for locating objects  was anything that would not slide through the tines of my fork..  there were noodles... so I started lining them up with my 6 lonely peas... the noodles were about 3/8 by one inch and there were 13 of them.. in addition there were three individual noodles that were 3/8 by two inches.. so I included the 16 noodles  on my plate with the six lonely peas.. there really wasn't anything else that didn't fall through the times of the fork..  I don't doubt that there was some tuna fish in that but that's all I could locate in the soup.. So I ate the peas and noodles and one lone piece of mushroom and tipped up the container and drank the rest.. it tasted good.. but.. really???6 peas and 16 noodles????

 

now the back of the box said this was 420 calories I really didn't see how they got to that number with the objects that I had pulled out of the soup.. at any rate it was a very large disappointment and I will write to stouffers and tell them about my 6 lonely peas on a plate with the rest of the objects could not in any way be piled up to look like the picture on the carton..  the biggest thing being the 13 noodles and there's no way you can pile up 13 noodles to look like a whole dish full of tuna cacciatore... they look like 13 flat noodles.  I tried..   so I'll have to write to them and tell them about my 6 lonely peas and ask them how they get 420 calories.  Unfortunately with this speedy checkout business the carton was not labeled with the price and I already threw out the receipt.. I will explain that to them.

 

So much for my exciting days which actually had started at 3:00 in the morning getting Janine to the shuttle bus to the airport..  In the middle of mail call Elizabeth**** dialed Janine whose face appeared in front of us unexpectedly--from all the way down there in South Carolina

it's a whole new world and I ain't ready for it.

OH LORDY-----I have great faith in all of you and I'm about to bite the bullet---- Anne has found a four month old female pup in Denmark I have had dogs from this kennel before they are very nice dogs and this pup looks very nice all though she's white she does have a few black spots but she is deaf I'm told ----um that is not an impossible traINing episode ---the best agility DANE in the United states was 100% deaf ---um would be very interesting especially if I have bellas help so Bella gets up to par on that ziti with whom she's making great progress ZITI can be her practice dog and then she can help me with this one and then see what happens next I would only need help walking around very much other training is I can do sitting down anyway um the other parts of the white def is that that is what you breed to a black dog to get the most Harlequins if it's a black dog carrying white you get 67% Harlequin if he does not carry the white you get 50% so if you breed to a black dog your chances of Harlequin are great which I do like and so does the concept of entertaining daycare people my idea ideal would be a litter of six Harlequin puppies following me into daycare centers like they used to have with the Megan marches around here can be done and it would be very funny and entertaining and if I could get some help from Bella who really is showing good signs of being an adequate dog traINer 000000that's worth the risk behind the whole thing is the hope that all you people will keep supporting us with this crazy notion of taking all these dogs to shut INS and daycares..

but don't tell Janine SHE WOULD/ should have a heart attack---  maybe she won't notice for a while.

I don't know what happened to the daily doggy yesterday---Saturdays are tough--- I have 2 things to write and sometimes that floors me ! I KNOW IT TOOK ABOUT ALL I HAVE TO GET A PICTURE OF BELLA TRQINING ZITI. AND THQAT MUST HAVE BEEN M ORE THAN I COULD HANDLE ... I see where I did send that to the editor but I may have quit at that point I guess ---I don't know.

I do know then I got out and worked in the yard and that may have thrown me off entirely it certainly did exhaust me um I was so busy concentrating on what I was going to do physically that I may have pushed the wrong button. the project outside of getting interesting things down to the street for people to pick over it's sort of an interesting project by itself and I made many trips up and down and as I began to take things down I noticed they were taking things already so the street does work they even took two things that I really didn't know what they were..   and hopefully there will be more to do today we have too much stuff around here..

 I went and sat in building 25 for lack of anything better to do and looking around at all that stuff in there I really don't know why I want it why I wanted it...  it's an interesting collection.  ALL very carefully labeled for building 25 contents stuff---  just as nick pulls out tub after tub of stuff from their cellar Those black tubs with yellow lids that Home Depot sold last year are wonderful except now we have an unknown quantity of black tubs with yellow lids it's almost to the point if I need to put them down on the street there's just so many all labeled miscellaneous---

actually there are three of those tubs outside this guesthouse that I think belonged to Gwen and she left years ago there's three of them I we're going to have a ceremony someday and open them—

 

somewhere Janine did locate old pictures and I will go through those and see if I can't get them online there are some gems---like Janine probably age four or five walking behind tinker teaching her to steer.

. I did wash the dog dishes--doesn't sound like much but there were seventy of them and they weren't all the same I have a problem with dog dishes sitting on the floor that are narrower at the bottom because if a dog happens to step on that top on the rim it flips up and hits them in the face or if I do it it nearly breaks my shin so I like dishes for the floor that are fatter at the bottom

 

someone has asked me to write the process for starting and using the frying pans in the nursing homes and daycare centers and I will now do that and probably put it in tomorrow==--- hopefully I remember--

I had about 150 emails saying what a nice job Bella is doing which is certainly true ..  ..  And on we go---- I did get in touch with Anne that friend of ours who was on our board and speaks 7 languages unfortunately one of them is absolutely correct English which is a little bit of a problem for me but any rate um she is from Denmark which is from whence cometh several of our breeding dogs..  that Claudia Bohemia kennel in the Czech Republic will not have puppies until September but there's an outside chance of that kennel in Denmark so how about it Ann and see how you make out...  Judy is ready to go for another round trip to Copenhagen in 24 hours which is what she did last time she likes being on an airplane she the exclusivity of being up there by yourself with no phone her children or whatever she likes it I'm certainly pleased... so stay tuned on that one.

 

Last night's mail call with Elizabeth and Janine was very relaxing because Janine said for once she's gotten to the point of realizing there are other people around who can do some of the jobs that she always took on.. and one of the major ones is apparently I think her name is Liz turns out to be a   knowledgeable website person.  Which means that having a simple thing like a business card would be so helpful to us when we're out in public as would the banners which we can put on the side of our car or trailer all of which have to have at least the right name which has been up in the air for a while as it started out crazy acres and now is goldie's farm sounds simple no do we have apostrophe or no apostrophe because apparently in certain situations the computer won't accept apostrophe and therein starts the problem-

 

And then comes the logo--  normal hen as done by our artist JC.   But for a short version on the fronty of a shirt type we all  like a graphic design—welldlllll is that copywrited or not?? And that stops us til we figure that out....

 As Carlene says “Great Dane puppies are born trained” and I am experiencing that now. Working with Ziti has been eye opening. When I had George and met him he was always very work focused on taking care of me. Now, with Ziti as I am getting to know her I noticed she is equally playful and focused. She follows me close behind, and always keeps her eye on me. However, she is a puppy, she still plays and jumps and brings toys over to play. Ziti is so intuitive and smart and curious I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am to have her. With training “Zeets” as we call her I have learned much more about the kindness these big dogs have. Now, onto the training aspects, Ziti is very smart and will listen when there is a toy nearby, or of course, a treat. She currently knows “down, place, stay, and come”. When I started training her there was a lot of “Ziti, no no no”. Now she understands what I mean. As much as she loves treats and toys I do try to let her be when she's asleep. If we are out and about at a restaurant and we are leaving I tell her Ziti up, and she will slowly rise then I reward her. The effort and work that goes into a service dog is very intense. I love training Ziti and I loved training George. When George was first matched with me he was trained in the basics, the things I trained him for were things specifically designed for me. Things like easy and a slow pace. Ziti is a great puppy and has taught me so much. The time and energy Carlene has put into ziti and all other service dogs means so much to me and the recipients. Training ziti has made me realize that all the time and energy put into the dogs is so worth it. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. When teaching I have needed to take a step back. Training isn’t linear, it’s not all neat and pretty. As much as I want to teach her, I need to remember she is still little and she needs rest, as much as I do. She tires me out more than I do her. This is new for both of us, we are both experiencing the world for the first time. George was my world my whole life, now I have Ziti, both of them were and are such a big part of my life I don’t think I would be where I am today without either of them. Ziti and I haven’t known each other for a long time, but already she means so much to me. It just shows that these big dogs can really change how we view things, how we should treat others the way they treat us, with kindness and care.

I just plain cannot deal with the automated  lahey hospital “stuff”. I apparently have missed 2 critical messages..because........

When I first opened my layey chart account , my shakey hand hit a “o” making my name  ---animaleop@aol.com---which means to send me a message.. the computer wants to know who this animalep person is... and what is their password.... and lahey has said they can not change my “source” name...

So I have tried to deal—but... you know..... I just can’t to try and deal with the blood clot department—and the  weekly adjustment to the blood thinner...anticoagg—and the weekly open wound department along with normal yearly physical----my shakey hand has got more shakey so add a  current typo to two....it is just too much..—I have pads of notes with the latest passwords  for 11 accounts I need daily...—

 

Among all those notes is an email asking. “why don’t you order paper towels from amazon?”  because I can’t find their password—that is why.

 

 That is why I have had no intellectual thoughts lately. Believe it or not,,, I have run out of  four letter words with or without the !!!!!!

 

Well... one yesterday... Having been to the body searching department Julie and I had the two dogs with us and Janine had set up the horses and wanda...at a youth center daycare center.. and the plan was for us to join her with my two dogs. We got there and we're impressed ourselves with the visual of Janine clean truck and 3 horse trailer and they were camped out underneath two lovely trees with the 2 mini horses--- spotless !!so all we had to do was park our    almost clean red forerunner it let my two dogs out to be patted etc---well I sat on a bench underneath the shaded tree..  it really was spectacular for these people who have no budget but are supposed to entertain all these children.  how happy were they to see us.. I don't know which person handed Judy  a $100 bill.. and she said it was so crowded she didn't know  who gave who gave it to her either..  

 

The facility had some class of social studies ?college ? students there to observe what was going on which added about 10 people with laptops hung around their necks just standing around looking.

 

I tried to get one of them in a conversation about how our process with the frying pans is so easily adapted just so many hundreds of people with very little effort..  in my opinion you don't have to go to a special class for six months or a year to learn to be a facility dog...  give me 2 frying pans.  a dog two people and a carton of dog treats and I don't think it would take more than 10 minutes to have that dog going back and forth between two people getting treats.. the only limiting factor there is a great big dog like a Great Dane just never gets full... although they do get thirsty... so I was trying to make a point I've tried to increase the traffic for these people who have no budget and a bunch of people who would love to share  their dogs .. the frying pans work.. the dog's head ends up right where you want it for a photograph or to be padded.. and the dog's only attention is on the cookie in the frying pan and then turning around and going back where it came from getting another cookie..   little cookies but cookies.. side note I don't think dogs can cope with quantity  as in size --big cookie versus little cookie doesn't make a difference it's the presence of the cookie in the first place.

 

I would really like to share the frying pan concept with the rest of the world..  because it's a situation which should be easily solved.  you get the dog trained in the living room with two people 2 frying pans and a bunch of small bits of cookie anything you drop the cookie making the noise and tell the dog to go get it and then call them back and if you can get that going you can do it in these daycare centers --- where everybody always wants to feed the dog

I will work on it----- what we need is publicity.

 

It's one of those situations where you want to be on the front page and there are times you don't want to be on the front page. it does seem to work we have had no problem with it.
