 dd 7 3

this is  pretty much the response i got for my email telling of the go round with the sdp lawyer.  most important, you all sold out the henny
penny board.

Dear Carlene, I have been watching you on Explore before there was sound. Watching the videos today of what the farm has become again made me smile. This is what I remember years ago the fun, Sunday stew, Sheila, Tracey Pam, Annie, Cindy, Bud, etc., the joy it was to be at your farm while you were raising service dogs. I’ve never stopped watching, but it has made me sick to watch what that evil woman Lynn has done to you and what you have built! Goodness always prevails and I believe Elizabeth/ Carly, etc. was a blessing to come to the farm. I wish you and Goldy’s Farm and everyone involved nothing but the best and much success. I can’t wait to keep watching and contributing. M.

Being more than nearly deaf I do have to concentrate on a great deal of lip reading And in the case of these service dog project lawyer I wondered why he hadn't bothered to finish shaving because sometimes instead of concentrating on what he was saying I was watching the different areas of his face that hadn't yet been shaved ---how can I have a serious discussion with that going on-.  it became evident to me that ADI has set up the rules for lynn's behavior which as I pointed out to the lawyer has nothing to do with my behavior because I'm working under a separate set of directions,,   somewhere along the line I wrote a mission statement which I take quite seriously prepare dogs to help people... not too complicated until adi  came along and Tried to insist I have things like bylaws... There was nothing on that whole go round that did anything to improve the training or the life of the dogs which disgusted me...  and I better stop there

and I'm still waiting for them to bring out each dog and run through the canine good citizen test---which is so far for the last two years they have refused to oh Very basic training costing $100,000 or more I wanna see it and as a major donor I believe I have a right to it.. ..

So many of the comments had to do with just plain fun and relaxed atmosphere which was now very evident with the busload of people that we had from the rainbow daycare center...  as they fed donkeys and goats and just had a wonderful time..  and the cleanup of that ice tea tent was 100% successful and the placement of the animals well designed by Jane so that everybody got to enjoy them and the animals seemed to have a good time too.

we have many more bookings of daycare centers wanting to come here and we haven't really had any publicity so far so my guess is once we start publicizing will be inundated and we will get a chance the service so much more of the general public than the one or two dogs per year we were serving by training service dogs

So thank you for the contributions which makes it all possible . chirpy the chicken didn't place her vote quite promptly so winners were chosen I did not open the new board right away but it certainly is open now and we're on until the next month chaos

we are going to get there... Sunday Stew...

new news.  Yesterday I sat through two hours of. “did you sign this 990 form in 2010”. Yes. “did you review it before signing it” what do you mean review-- I looked at it” do you see right over your signature where it says that you swear the facts to be correct”. “Yes. That is right before it says to the best of my knowledge and that certainly is true because   cpa said so..  ”and then we got into quickbooks,  “do you mean someone you did not know walked into you  house to keypunch?” “yes”.  “ what did she keypunch?”  I dunno. “You mean you signed ..... etc.....”

Then we ( Janine and I) were TOLD we would be required to come in for many more sessions. To go over the tractors,  the guest house. Etc--- there was no end !!

What seemed to be the basis for their interrogation and basically handling me what is a list of requirements of assistance dog international that they had to do in order to be recertified by adi..  well I determine quite a while ago that I did not want to be or need to be certified by adi and I even have a letter from adi saying how wonderful my dogs -are,,,,  --it's me they don't like.  they have a specific agenda and I frankly don't approve and unfortunately I say so regularly.

I can appreciate what they are trying to do is to have some control over just who is a service dog and who is a service dog trainer but they're requirements have absolutely nothing to do with training dogs..  at which point I've said so.

at one point there were two women from adi-who came here and spend an awful lot of time going through I think it was 6 loose leaf notebooks of paperwork.. in two days...  and never once even laid eyes on a dog.

As you all know I've never had much regard for paperwork anyway..   I have a mission statement which dedicates me to training dogs to help people..   that has nothing to do with copying and pasting filing hundreds of pieces of paper for which I can say no purpose. when I first started out I can see there was a benefit and belonging to this group adi--but asa life went on I stopped to ask myself why was I paying so much to them just so I could belong.

There was a rumor out that if you belong to adi your veterans could get insurance health insurance for their dogs. well we did a little bit of time and money study and found out it was cheaper for us to pay for the insurance then it was to belong to adi and have them have it. I don't know what the service dog project is doing now but when I left veterans had coverage.

ADI and many Facebook readers got some mileage out of the day I kept two adult male dogs from fighting using everything I had which was two hands 2 feet. Which is normal for trying to keep two dogs from fighting.

they'll probably send that around again now that I've mentioned it but you  all have watched me for years and know I'm not abusive of my dogs but you also know I don't  want them fighting too--so on occasion you do whatever you have to. not a big deal.

When I started service dog project in about 2003 it was a bare bones organization I had a couple of dogs and myself and eventually Megan and we turned out some damn good dogs but I did not have a bookkeeper eventually add Theresa and then Linda and then Lynn to help with the paperwork and registering and filing and things like that and I did not pay attention... I was training dogs, and keeping the many facets of this place running... never realizing there was a whole army of paperwork gurus who had a different agenda.

Now with Lynn as president if they have made the decision to try and belong to ADI. so be it. they will have to do all those things on the list which involved not speaking to me and not letting me  talk to recipients or volunteers or even touch a dog. The fact that I Evan encouraged Bella to fool with the training of ziti... is just the kind of thing that adi does not like.. And they've already had a great deal to say about sandy having two dogs---- both of those things are working

I was never very good at the game of “may I?”

Everybody will be so much better off when the remnants of service dog project move to maine.

ok....a fugen reminder,,,,,,,

CARLENE, NOW WE SOLD OUT,   WE DEMAND YOU WILL PAY HAVING   MINIS WILL BE BRAIDED, MANE AND TAIL,  AS YOU PROMISED!! :LOL!

today is going to be busy-- as we have a legal bit to deal with-- a deposition for 2 hours...

the "table to number"

a job to do -brentwood. 11am.

with judy in hawaii

but i am on it all...  i already told carli. she was "ON" as braider --- the table is still over my head- i have been drilled by lawyers to only say yes or no.. and someone has to get to brentwood day care by 11 am with something....  maybe carlie braiding the unicorn.. who know...

The place is looking good I have to admit it Janine has knocked herself out also Wallace um but it is possible to go down there and sit there in the iced tea tent and relax and have a very nice couple hours ...  as I did trying to put the swing set together I had used the scaffolding as a seat for the swing said and I thought that was very nice but Janine has gone and purchased wood seed which then had to be put together and it does look beautiful now take down the scaffolding...

I'm wondering if I could persuade chip to make me two of those triangle things which are the bases for another swing set so we could have a swing set facing the pond also.  ... umm then i     umm then i  then I just have to get some pipe to slide into the funny little triangle things and bingo you have a swing set.

I have a legal deposition to do this morning I don't know what it entails seeing as they now do them video wise but somehow I'm supposed to spend 2 hours doing that it's very difficult for me to say yes or no all the time especially when I have very strong feelings about it like how to raise puppies..   which in case you haven't noticed I have very strong feelings about that.

along those lines I have glowing reports of our newest trainer Bella----by my definition a dog trainer is a person who can alter the behavior of an animal the dog that they're trying to train..  she certainly has done that in a very short order leaving some of these dogs in our barn way behind I don't know as you could take any of those off leash and have them c and thus far they have not demonstrated any progress what so everome when they're called I would like to see it I would like to see it... I've asked to see it on a yearly basis to see what we are getting for the amount of money getting spent but the offer is still out I still would like to see each dog in the barn out doing the canine good citizen test let's see how see how they're doing...  it seems as major donor we have the right to ask for it, with  $numbers floating around in the 100,000 range it seems to me we ought to see some pretty good progress ----how about it?

I am trying to catch up with Megan and see exactly what her stage is--- I heard as she has placed her last dog and now he's basically looking for puppies as I am . It is not all that easy you don't just call it up on Amazon and presto changjo you have a bunch of Harlequin puppies doesn't work that way I did hear from Claudia Bohemia that there is some way around this August 1st limit on import importing dogs I don't know how that's done she says it works I bet it works so all of you out there who are legally inclined or politically or whatever let's see if you can figure out how you import a dog after August 1st because her next litter is in September.... she's got awfully good dogs. I joked they have a leg in each corner which is true

so there's your assignment figure how you get around the August 1st limiting the importing of dogs under six months old...

 we need to know that
