on the beaver butt question ----from CP.  Sue B. ---When in doubt, go to Snopes!! ---- and yes...

they did  an extensive study of these odd "facts" offen found ------ which made me wonder

who's footing the bill for the payroll they must have.?  - google says it is basically publicly supported.

but not a charity ----  consumer reports is a 501 c 3  and they check facts...

so  my question wellllll if not why not?  I dunno... except.... consumer reports is more inclined to study “can the door handle of a ford 150  cause a fire?”  where snopes gets into the really interesting “did hitlers  ancesters really write the star spangled banner? “

I defy anyone to  go to snopes to look up beaver butts and not start to glance down the list of other reported rumors. “is oprah really dead from a diet pill ?” ---- I find those interesting ---who dreams up this stuff???or  does any of it have one foot in reality and it just got distorted by repeating it  4000 times.. ( and then who discovered that  the repetition eventually replaced reality)  the beaver butt apparently does have that one foot—because  there is some smelly substance in the anal glands which was used in perfumes  but  not so much now.. BECAUSE  EXPRESSING THE ANAL GLANDS IS TOO DIFFICULT/EXPENSIVE... to make that statement means  someone was sniffing it ???????

?back to who was doing what to discover that??? Hopefully the beaver pelt business.

I have the same kind of ridiculous  curiosity about the repurposed materials site--- I can hardly wait to see what someone is doing with the floor of a bowling alley.... the street sweeping brushes are there... and I often thought of getting one.... except..... they have one at meridith... and I. have never seen an animal use it...- I think they would have to be shown how to... or put it in a  place where they would accidently discover  the joys of scratching an itch...a problem for alot of handicapped peoploe ... or people in a  cast of some kind---

There are such subtleties to farming you never thought of... I installed ?300 feet of hex chicken wire coated in uv protected vinyl covering—7 feet high—perfect for the chickens-  then it was noted there were no chickens, but  a lot of greenery  in that chicken enclosure—“lets put the goats in there it clear that out.”  GREAT IDEA.... except the goats know they can happily  scratch their backs on the usual wire fencing—so they started on the chicken wire----- which was not designed to scratch the back of goats.... consequently  unbending the 7’ chicken wire is now on the “someday” list---

That is someday before the chickens (that Elizabeth ordered) get too big.. it is planned they will  be raised in the sun room of the house with a heat lamp. Til they can take the outdoor world.  Let us pray the bank vault door holds—( which separates the house dogs from the chicken growing project).. ???BANK VAULT?????-- that is another story
