 may 16 2023

Well that was good fun.. mail call. went off without a hitch.. and this is actually but much more versatile way to do an online mail call live.. as the time goes on we can make it more interesting with this portable camera deal so although we had planned to put in permanent cameras for the donkey area and one for the dogs in the house... using the portable telephone cameras is wonderful while it blows my mind.. apparently you go to our website and click on mail call and Scroll down and you got it.. at least that's just what I did two minutes ago to watch last night's... and I did notice we have a sound issue with the person holding the camera is loud and you have trouble hearing me 6 feet away so today I will practice yelling... I think we're going to try it in the donkey area.... another thing I've always wanted to do Ever since COVID made it perfectly obvious.... we need to give more attention to those people who are always there... there is one guy in I have in mind.. at the gas station. an older man.  in all weather rain sleet and snow. comes out to greet you.  with cookies for the dogs in the back..  .. I'm sure if he gets minimum wage he's probably lucky but the guy is always there and cheerful... this needs to be exploited more.

along those lines when  I'm sitting around talking to people -----I had occasion to mentally kick around the process of hiring people--- These kind of conversations with these kind of people. can be compared to arguing how many angels on the head of a pin..  sometimes in some groups  Ideas could be as fun to kick around as a football. and the other day I was on ----the privilege of having a job Versus the complications of not having a job...---  One person in the group had the occasion  to hire  someone who had just gotten their citizenship papers.... and he said that person was the most industrious person he'd ever hired...  and though he was hired to do job A,,, it was noticed that when job A did not demand his attention.. he noticed and did jobs B C & D . And how he took great pride in the overall picture of the establishment.   some people are like that

it may be the place to find good help... is in Citizenship classes.

personally I have always found someone who comes off a dairy farm is the ultimate worker because with  dairy farming there is no procrastination.. Because lack of timing could hurt the cow. and your pocketbook.. ... Did any of you ever consider how on earth a dairy farmer could take a day  off?  He or she would have to find another dairy farmer to have the same respect for the job at hand  While having an appreciation for the individual details of emptying those cows... Well now just to keep your information up to date you really should go out and Google two things ----goat milking carousel for 1800 goats. ----and then--- cow milking carousel. ----The koz KOZxxxx video is good

On the topic of cow manure.. I can remember during the war we had a “victory garden” ..  which was about 12 feet by 50 feet. which grew enough vegetables and all for our family of five .. this was due to (my father said ). cow manure which he brought home in bushel baskets on occasion in the back of his otherwise very clean and tidy car.. I do remember he once considered selling that car and had a terrible time getting the smell out..

I also remember that he carried about a 24 inch piece of railroad iron rail In the back of that car just to hold the rear end on the road if he was in a hurry.

I have several other cow manure stories..   for another day

today?  coffee with ?ANN?  a load of hay after 11..and two senior centrers in newburyport-  then "portable " mail call.. maybe from  the donkey area????and left over chicken marcella for dinner....

is there anything i left out?
