99% chance of heavy rain at 7am AND 11 am---happy dance time .CURRENTLY  IF YOU WALK ON THE GRASS. YOU CAN HEAR IT CRUNCHING.... WITH NOT RESIMBLANCE TO  THE VELVET CARPET AS ADVERTIZED...  I DON'T KNOW WHY AMERICANS ARE SO DEVOTED TO  MOWING  AND CARE OF THE "FRONT LAWN".   WHAT A WASTE--- WHEN I WAS IN GERMANY 147 YEARS AGO, THE HOUSES WERE ALONG THE STREET... AND THE LAND BEHIND HAD GARDENS OR THE OCASIONAL MILK  COW..... MADE MUCH MORE SENSE.  I TRIED LIVING LIKE THAT IN LYNNFIELD--- I MOWED THE FRONT LAWN  YEARLY--- WHETHER IT NEEDED IT OR NOT........JUST BEFORE OUR 4 H CIRCUS IN AUGUST.

LIVING A LITTLE LIKE THAT NOW---- GETTING  READY FOR YEARLY DOG FEST....  HAS CAUSED THE SAME PATTERN OF A WEEK OF FRANTICITIVITY..    THIS YEAR LYNN IS HANDLING ALL THAT ... AND I HAVE SOME FRINGE JOB....... LIKE..... IDENTIFYING JOBS WHICH CAN BE DONE BY A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE 2 DAYS  OF WANDERING AROUND  TALKING TO EACH OTHER AND MAY AS WELL TACKLE SOME CHORE?????
I CAN REMEMBER.... YEARS AGO. SOMEONE PAINTED THE PIG AT DOGFEST....  WHAT PIG??? YOU  MAY ASK....

THERE IN LIES ANOTHER TALE....
I HAVE  SOME "INTERESTING " FRIENDS. AS WELL YOU ALL KNOW----( AND ARE SOME OF THEM....)

WELL...

One of these friends called me one day and very quickly asked me if he owned anything I would pay him $300  TO OWN....

Turns out for one reason or another he was incarcerated..  I've forgotten exactly why but he wasted his one phone call on calling me to see what he could sell me for $300 very quickly...    and I very quickly said----THE PIG---- He seemed very relieved that I liked his pig..  and said by all means go pick it up and leave the $300 under the rock by his feed room..  ..   I had the pig and he had the money and it wasn't something for which I needed a receipt.

this pig was once part of some merry go round that probably had a distinct value.  which turned out to be a lot more valuable after somebody aT dogfest put a coat of paint on it a rather bright pink color.... with colorful saddleblanket etc..  our pig HAS lead a very difficult life for the last few years and have not had the care it deserves..  the worst part being his left ear which is attached to a significant crack across the top of his head..   his head is not loose ---it's still very sturdy pig but it does have these surgical problems... and I never fixed it because I did not have the knowledge to do that..  I still don't have the knowledge but the pressure is on and I've consulted bud who seemed to know something about something and said he had a half a can left over from SOME last project... so once again we looked to bud to glue the head on the pig so that somebody at dog fest can paint said pig.

to prepare for this I need to go and by a pint  of VERY  pink paint..  With a 2 inch brush.  and then about 6 tiny little jars a brightly colored paint with pencil sized paint brushes..  and hopefully somebody at dog fest will manage to apply the paint  to the pig.  It won't require any significant artistic ability just a very steady hand.

I have about five projects so far.   lined up..  Depending on the weather and anyone’s energy level....we may have hay to put hay in the hayloft.  up the elevator.

----sitting around. You could........preparie hay  string.  and putting some in every vehicle so that the various pieces of crazy acres can be tied together  quickly

----For someone with considerable strength and determination we need to have the laced pins on the Tipi corrected.

----Babysitting laki. who is exceedingly friendly to a fault.

.. build a fire and boil water to boil your own corn from the Ipswich corn farm.  That has been a very entertaining project years ago....

----   those spirit stick holders could stand a coat  of quick drying paint if anybody arrives here early Thursday or Friday...

---and we could make the tool shed one single color of yellow.

in the past dog festers seemed to like painting

Things like that—there is no end...

So my job is to get the pieces together for those projects...

How could  I. forget...... GET THE PILE OF TARPS OUT OF “BUDS” WORLD... SPREAD THEM OUT IN THE YARD AND MEASURE THEM—LABEL THE CORNER... AND FOLD UP AGAIN WITH THE LABEL IN THE TOP CORNER.

just your  every day farm chores....
