...And now it's time for our daily disaster------ I have lost a marble -------I have not lost all my marbles but I've lost one.
problem is, where I've lost it... I was sitting in my car the, Watching mullarkey turn circles sniffing the ground with his tail slightly raised back hunched just a little and I realized he was about to have that pause that refreshes and subsequently produced a small mound of cylinders.. I was thinking isn't that nice because a few days earlier it wasn't a mound that he produced.. and since we had given him no medication I figured it must have been something he ate or too much of something he ate.. .. at any rate he wasn't quite finished and moved forward about four feet and continued with another cylinder which sort of hung without falling which immediately made me wonder why it was sort of an extended cohesive cylinder and after about 8 inches the whole thing fell and he moved forward scratched the ground and was very pleased with himself and he left the area... so I grabbed my trustee poop picker and went to investigate and found that this 8 inch cylinder was held together rather neatly by the string that I use to make monkey fists.. this was not just a simple short foot long piece of string that he could have gotten out of the trash which is produced with every fist I make there's always a little bit leftover that I have to cut off ------this involved probably an entire five or six feet of that string... having my trusty poop picker I poked about and indeed it did look like the quantity of string that would be used to make a monkey fist like five or six feet all wound up together into this 8 inch cylinder so I put it in the grocery bag in a normal fashion and quickly ran around and showed a lot of people and the uniform response was “Oh no”, but we began to realize that the wad of string did not contain a marble which must have been there to start with.. because as far as I know there's no where he could have picked up A5 or 6 foot piece of string unless it was already in a monkey fist... so in other words we're certainly minus a marble and maybe a small snap hook.. I am hoping that both would be of a size and shape which he would be able to present within a day or two if he hasn't already. “done that”. .. stay tuned
yesterday’s adventure off property. Was to go—with mxxxxxxx and moria to the senior center in Ipswich for a balance discussion.... getting there needed experience... I had my 3 dogs already “loaded” and asked moria to jump in -- which she usually does readily...--- no dice—she was not jumping in to that crowd of dogs with sizzle smiling at her in a. treacherous way... so I had to unload sizzle and then Mariah jumped in no problem and put sizzle back in it was crowded with four dogs none of them small---- sizzle was probably the smallest in about 135.....140 pounds and larkey probably 160 but they all did very well as they did when we got to the senior centered.. I had them all lie down while we discussed balance.... then I let them up to work the crowd and the people there were shocked and amazed at how perfectly they behaved and of the people there very few had even heard of us in the same town... which is not all bad because they hadn't heard all the bad things either--- but it does show that we really need to do more public relations.. they had been reading the article of the newspaper and just never knew that that was me or anything about service dogs so we have a PR problem I think we know that
the only other excitement of the day is the baby chicken project got axed---we have been wanting to get a half dozen adult chickens to keep our credentials going, and having three hens available for the shadding process.. the gift of a couple dozen baby chickens was more than I could stand -----well really they were going to be a problem because it's too late in the season 2 have them conveniently be outside without heating lamps and things..let me try again------- Ipswich is very strange the chickens and the equines make us a farm with dogs if we did not have chickens and equines we would be a kennel and the town would have an awful lot to say about that ... I think the farm end is protected...I believe. Right now we have one lonely chicken And anelia is loaning us her three pet chickens per shatting Sundays. we get no eggs that way. That was interesting....
and pockets is back-- olaf needed the stall for the canadian horse- so pockets is back... all i have to do is drive.. (with assisted driving).. i no longer do hook. or unhook....load or unload... but i can drive forward and backwards... so i am unhooked at the moment... which means i can not go get hay today until someone hooks me up to that biig dump
trailer. which still has 4 mattresses in it
at which point i can unload ( and pay an awful lot of money for the privledge of unloading) 4 mattresses at the "transfer station/- then swing by the hay dealer and see what they have today...
