finally someone fainted .. i can not believe some of these men "brace " for 6 hours??????
and the lines... queues... peaceful quiet.. but also moving so no one can sit and rest for hours and miles---and as of this morning... moving at a respectable pace... at last count...3 miles long...
I've been watching some of the processions and services for Queen Elizabeth. Like you, I'm amazed by the precision of the arrangements. I thought you might find this interesting. It was reported by CBS News:
Why did the queen's coffin leave Buckingham Palace at exactly 2:22 p.m?
The procession left the palace at that time so that the coffin would arrive at Westminster Hall, where the queen will lie in state until her funeral on Monday at 3:00 p.m.
A biographer & historian said: "They timed it using a drum which beats 75 beats per minute, which enables them to arrive at 3:00 p.m. While the time itself wasn't significant, the steps to accomplish such a task were. CP Bobolink
