forget teaching english literature---- get more science and logic into those kids in grade school and stop saying math/science is for male children...plus fire any teacher who has the audacity. to stand in front of her 4th grade class and say "i never liked science that’s for men"
i bet you thought i was going to spout on electric vehicles to save the world???? if every vehicle is electric and still transports only one person per 2287 pound vehicle there is still a problem of energy to move that 2287+183 pound person the 13 miles to and from work...daily....
one of these days i am going to. sit and drink my coffee and watch the cars go down route 97-- and count the numbers vs passengrs..- the cars come in blocks of 12...these blocks are created by the traffic light 3 miles up the road.
Ustabee there was a train from that area into Beverly and /Salem someone in the seventies got the brainstorm of “rails to trails” and took up the tracks and made bike /walking paths ... very long very straight very flat. paths with appropriate road crossing marks..
Have I missed something? We are waiting to be able to send a rocket off to go round the moon and someday mars.. searching for water when half of Kansas is floating down the Mississippi.. and was it not said that a woman called off the launch.....because of some minor detail about #3 engine... like it was not going to work??
I believe it was a “she” that flipped the switch, then left the “suited” men to explain why.
Counting “skirts” vs “suits” in business or govt is like counting cars with 2 or more passengers.. I bet the ratio is very similar.
I have never watched a tennis match before – I have played AT tennis....my sister was pretty good- so I know what donald swann was talking about with his rendition of “tried by the center court”,,,,,which is worth a google if you can--- it ends with “players are photographed jumping the net but here since the figure one always forgets ----the umpire --upon whom ---the sun-- never sets”
I. did watch serena last night—and she is a sports person well worth watching...not only in tennis... tonight she and her sister ( not a twin, but sister) are going to play doubles.. and then she ? goes on to another singles match on ?Friday?

****for those of you not famililar. The scoring makes no sense. It goes 15—30—40—game. Except that you have to win game by 2 points. .. so often the score will be 40-40. CALLED DEUCE....And the next point winner has an “AD” ( advantage) WHERE IF THE WIN THE NEXT IT IS GAME... IF THEY LOOSE THE NEXT POINT IT IS DEUCE – DONALD SWANN HAS A GREAT DEAL TO SAY ABOUT THE SCORING—WHY CANT IT BE 1 2 3 GAME—SOME OF THE OLDER DEBENTURE HOLDERES WOULD BE BOUND TO GET SHIRTY. " SIX GAMES TO A SET---- ?USTABE YOU NEEDED TO BY 2 GAMES. WHICH IS HOW DONALD SWANN GETS TO GAMES. 25 TO 27
