the over modernization deserves some comment....actually alot of them

donna just came in and set her phone on the counter so she could check in-- so far so good
but she could not check in because she was 6 minutes early and

 her phone did not allow her to check in  more than 5 minutes ahead of her scheduled time.

so she set it down  on the counter and went to get the dog food...

well she had to open a new container of food-- and dispose of the cardboard in the recycle bin

so when she got back to the phone, she was 4 minutes late.. i hope the thing is programmed to deal...

otherwise you. are training people to come and stand around til the proper moment that the "system" says it is ok.

i am sorry, i am just too old to deal.. if i have 6 things to do--- WHICH WITH AGE IT IS NOT LIKELY TO HAVE ALLL 6-

BUT IF I DECIDE TO TAKE MY DOGS WITH ME AND STOP BY THE "ADULT CARE CENTER" 

(WHICH I HAVE TRAINED TO GIVE ME COFFEE)  I CAN GET ALL 6 DONE, HAVE COFFEE, AND CHEER UP 20 SENIORS WITH LARKEYS ANTICS, and be home by. 1:00... for a nap before mail call.  

NOW IF THE SENIOR CENTER SAYS I SHOULD BE THERE AT 10:30 NEXT TUESDAY-- GUESS WHAT.... IF I REMEMBER, AND THAT IS NOT LIKELY,  BEING THERE AT 10:30 WILL SCREW UP MOST OF THE DAY.  SO I END UP NOT GOING....

I REALIZE ALL THESE "ACTIVITIES DIRECTORS" ARE REQUIRED TO KEEP A CALENDAR OF ACTIVITIES BUT  ALONG WITH THE AGING PEOPLE THEY ARE ENTERTAINING, THERE IS MY AGING complicatons... ( and lack of a new battery for the clock which tells me what day it is)

so where it was a question of "let it happen"-- that does not work anymore.

the only place i know which seems to enjoy my drop by dog training is the. toyota dealer.. with their 3 different waiting rooms.

otherwise... activities directors will toss me a cuppa and ask me to wait till the seniors are thru with their stretching exercises.  at which point i have fallen asleep in the nice warm building ( another asset-- these senior places are kept very warm... i like that)

age has it's problems.

i am going to try ditching the tippy bed and try matress topper???
