Sometimes restrictions  are good things---- not too often but sometimes---- as this morning I struck a match to light the fire in the Glenwood and a spark flipped onto my sweater I quickly put it out with my other hand which was not a problem and it only burned a little hole in my sweater --------well I remember back when there was a lot of clothing that was flammable

 

we were at a webbing in Washington DC when a guest reached over a candle to get something I don't know what and her sleeve got too close to a candle and her whole dress just flamed up... She was quickly dragged into the nearest men's room or whatever and I remember grabbing the bowl that was full of ice and throwing napkins in it and rushing into the men's room with the cold cloth which were then  applied to her burns and running out looking for more ice and napkins... before the ambulance got there...

So this morning when that spark hit me I remembered that and this sweater that I'm wearing today has 1/4 of an inch burned hole but it stopped there.

 

So... now having a working stove ... My next purchase will be a very small galvanized trash can with a lid and the handle because this thing goes through about a lot of wood which makes a lot of ashes and sometimes in those ashes there are sparks

 

I know that well because a relative empty the fireplace into a cardboard box one day which had to be quickly thrown out the front door of the potential disaster

 

We've had several noticeable fire episodes... and we do have supposedly at every door on the place there is supposed to be a fire extinguisher and all the people who say they like to come here and volunteer but don't know what they could do to help although some would walk around every door on the property and check the dates on the fire extinguishers that would be a wonderful thing to have a volunteer do

 

the most notable so far is the episode of Janine on the roof in her Victoria secrets best putting out a fire on the roof with the fire extinguisher just as the fire department arrive to help that's a long story

 

I have to take her to the airport right now.

i know the jolly.-----"i before e except after c or when sounded like A as in neighbor  or weigh" ----but i do not know the one for soooooo many modern "conveniences"

this "brother" label maker really looks like a wonderful thing-- judy left one here for me to play with.....HOWEVER>>>>>>>>  have not yet had it print anything of a size where i can read it.--- i know it is capable... judy left me a sample.    but the thing likes her better.. and clearly keep saying "judy told me to print "florida" like this so you can't read it"-- and FURTHERMORE... I DON'T KNOW IF JUDY KNOWS it has a memory which could be accessed by the FBI. ! so there !

it has multi keyboards where if you push menu  it gives you the selection of fonts.... you can now push every other button  ( including CLEAR) 

on the #$%^& thing and when you try "print"  it tells you what judy wants it to say...i.e.  florida

i never majored in physics because the lab was at 2pm and i knew... i was a serious napper at 2 pm---

 well i must have slept thru  all the other labs like "direction reading 101"......telephoning for idiots.....keyboard mastering...... basic finger touching...and finally sequence training - are all well beyond me.

even  my new sous vie cooker thing only has 3 buttons and by sequencing them you get to vary the time, temp. and on/off -  i think i have almost mastered those... but my oven and stock pot are well beyond my capabilities with their multitudeoness  buttons.

i have never had a good memory, but whatever it was, the short term part is  plain gone..... which means if i try one poke at button a and then c before b. ..... i end up doing that same sequence over and over -- a clear sign of insanity.....unless i keep track on the nearest piece of paper --- which is why judy tried to help with this label maker.

i love my MODERN GLENWOOD"E"--- IT HAS NO BUTTONS---and i also note that the dogs all sleep out there instead of my room since i am leaving it with an "overnight log" to carry it thru the night.

so many of the older homes   around here we're built with a stable somehow attached to the house------ George Myers old house was one of them and I found another one the other day I had to get some hay to betsy’s   mule or henny as we have to know and -----that is set way back off the road without much of a driveway anyway but I did get there with the trailer and the all the stables were underneath the old------ what was a-----mansion... I don't know what the mansion looked like it inside.   from tired but the stable was beautifully kept by a bunch of ERN volunteers so when I lifted the trailer and dumped all the hay a bunch of young agile gals quickly appeared to get it dragged into what was their alley between I think 4 stalls...

 so----- when we were building here in 1979 I had probably 15 years behind me running across the yard probably 50 feet to deal with the barn full of  4h. horses And I really wanted to have a barn attached to the house at least by a small breezeway of some kind just to make that dash for the barn a little bit easier..   and I was told I could not do that mostly mostly by the health department as it was unhealthy... News to me because I spent many of my waking hours in the barn anyway... and the guy who told me this the health department in his great wisdom had a cigarette in his ashtray..  well Oh no ---barns  we're not healthy ----They were dirty and had manure in them..  however you take that maneuer out put it in the pile and not very long later people will appear with buckets to have Some to make their flowers bloom///however

 

my next run with the health /building department was   again.   connecting buildings------ it was too have a covered walkway between the cabin and the laundry building and boy was that illegal and I'd have to have a permit and get a handicap savvy contractor and it would be $14,000 for JUST  design and permitting.  to even ask somebody to do it and all I wanted to do was have a clear path without having to climb over a stone wall In the dead of winter. ...there was a huge argue,ment about whether I was a private home or needed public access...   my house was clearly never going to have handicapped access  without  massive renovations.. 

 

I don't know how I got around that or if I even did but I I did put in posts and put a fence in and roll the stone wall out of the way and eventually put up some plywood as a roof and it's been there now for a long time it's not the tidiest in the world but it is a connection it's also a place to store firewood and things like that

it is Possible but not at all easy to roll someone up the hill and around back and in the back door of the cabin for wheelchair access..  I did put a ramp there... no I didn't put a ramp there I put a piece of plywood on some bricks... but it works for maybe 10 years now and counting--- I hesitate to paint  those some bright color and make it look cheerful for fear is somebody might notice it because it's not supposed to be there..

   and now cooking/ heating things on the glenwood-----  that is a very efficient xxxx... made more so by a majic heat thing

 which is a fan affair which is set in line of the vent pipe and a fan bows air across it..  one chunk of wood and the kitchen i s cozy... now to get teh cinneamin/clove/whatever pot organized...

janine got her shingles shot.. and teh nurse did not calculate  the depth of the shot correctly-- janine is 99.8 muscled arms-- and she must have hit something...?bone? sje was in the ER for hours yesterday.. i don't know where she is today. she is not one to worry about a little pain....she did say yesterday she could not use her right arm at all...i thought it was an "expression".  turns out... she couldn't.

and time to get the fencing

mark is doing a super  job of straightening out the  piles....  mark has a tidy mind !!!  we have seperate pile of pointy top pen and the rest is miles of 3 rails

i am enjoying being perked ( as opposed to keuriged )

 

Today's in-depth study will be one facet of fewer people smoking---- which you may not have considered before.

Turns out that if you stand around wanting to light your fireplace and you say "has anyone got a match" you will find no one does..  and furthermore no one even thought of being minus a fire......  and  that you don't have a match to light your fire..actually or figuratively currently....

However---the Native American Indians knew that one facet of moving around chasing Buffalo.. meant that they wanted to start of fire every time they got to a new campground.. and rather than have someone start the laborious practice of rubbing two sticks together,   there was always a fire carrier.. a person generally on foot who ran ahead of the rest of the tribe to locate where they were going to have a campground and he carried a fire carrier..

 

it was not only the practical way to start a fire in the new campground was to have coals out of the old campground but it also had some religious significance is that the fire they were starting came from some original fire long ago Apparently started by lightning so the story goes

 

Many Native American peoples developed technology and traditions so they could carry fire from one place to another. The Pikunii people of the western Great Plains and Rocky Mountain Front used fire carriers made of buffalo horns to carry burning coals from one camp to the next and to start a fire in the new camp. This was very helpful for the people as they arrived in the new camp, but the fire also served another important purpose: The fire provided spiritual and cultural continuity for the people because the same fire was used in one camp after another, even while the people traveled hundreds    of  miles in their yearly migrations.

I obviously googled that paragraph.. but somewhere in my upbringing.. I had a very intellectual discussion with somebody about trying to carry a fire from place to place so you didn't have to rub two sticks together.

 

So how does that leap forward to modern life?  Bud Got the iron Glen wood stove hooked up to the chimney whe're it's been many times before  and yesterday I tested the the draft to make sure the smoke was going to go up and not into the kitchen and I had a zip lighter..  little did I know that starting that fire yesterday was the last gasp of that bic llighter..  Matches are something that just aren't lying around anymore..  but I did go to the next most obvious fireplace and found one of those handy little boxes where you have to scratch the match on their particular piece of sandpaper the cause of flame...   rushing back to the Glenwood..  I struck and struck and struck... somewhat similar to me trying to make a telephone call on my cell phone..  those matches have to have been at least six months old and it took nearly a dozen to have one light.. 

 

so my first chore today---well maybe my second one after I go get the two trailers back from Meredith which are now loaded with fencing...   is the go purchase several sources of fire like matches..  it just to be sure that I have some method of carrying my fire forward I'm going to put some of them in a waterproof jar or something.

 

what was once so simple to do reverted back to thousands of years ago in keeping a fire going...

p.s.  they. used a buffalo horn to carry fire...

down cometh the fencing..

all of a sudden they have stopped putting in the new and are back taking down the old..and i am about 3 loads behind them....so this may be short

i have also resorted to tip/dumping/dragging the 16 foot rails... which from a 14 ' trailer could break some... but i am happy  the last load i tipped and dragged and it all came out without any breaking..

today will. make our collection an  out of control pile...the paking pit will need sorting help ?? matt????

i am hoping to "encourage"  ipswich to put in dog parks  with some of this pile.

i have a muzzle or not to muzzle debate going on in my head.... we have never muzzled...and do not at the moment see any need.... however one of our veterans took his service dog to a  nervous vet who had been bitten  once by a dane... and was terrified of the service dog... so he insisted on putting a muzzle on this perfectly behaved dog... which immeciately turned him into a 150 pound flying object , knocking over people and furnature. til they got it off him.. natrurally the vet thought the dog was nuts... and wrote me a nasty letter....  that could happen again ... if our dogs have not been introduced to a muzzle...

they are big..... to fear them....you have only to take a look at the depth of the cavern which is their mouth-- which  is lined with white pointy things.

we have had blood produced  twice by a dog just being friendly and mouthing someone's arm and the person pulled back thus engaging the pointy things........   mouthing is highly discouraged.  and malarkey at the moment is the worst--- and the friendliest--- with the fact that his mouth is not what you might call "dry mouth". the combination means that someday... if he is not in my direct control someone might want to muzzle him. so... shoud i practice????? amd iof you see me playing with muzzles...PLEASE.   THAT IS WHY !!!!!

so that is my mental state as i drive loads of fencing around massachusetts

this is not a medical problem.... but a problem with the medical..,....

basically... my cpap machine is telling me it has had the course and needs to be replaced ( it is my second one... many years involved) however......

so i called teh name on the machine saying .. it wants to quit.... they said all i need is another script... so i called my " primary" --- connected to lahey----- who i know is not the one to write the original script... the origional was a sleep "guy" at salem hospital...  however.  there has been a divorce......salem hospital is now linked to mass general and lahey linked to beverly... along the way... i went to a dr muggie- a friend of my husband's who. is mass general....  but lahey was closer and often had appointgments sooner than  the mass general loop..... i think --- but you all know my memory... dr muggie..mass general,,,, was looking into a cpap for me when suppies were tied up in singapore harbor.. and frankly ... i forgot about him...so now this machine is trying to quit.... i was told to call my primary for a script-- so online i left a message on this lahey site.

out of the. blue came a letter to contact dr muggie (mass gen) which might have been prompted by my appointment ?10 months ago? meaning singapore harbor is clear now. .. i opened it at mail call.... sometime in october?..... and promptly lost it.....now having contacted my primary care ( lahey)  and had no response...

meanwhile this machine which i am told is "rented" and they charge medicare--- and keep sending me "supplies"  unprompted... i was shocked  into forgetting what they cost to buy... but i clearly decided medicare would be preferred..

so here i sit... with. just one more machine controlling my exhistance --- JUST LIKE THE BUS STOP  NOT LETTING ME OUT.

just to have you  all aware of  "ways to screw up your exhistance".  someone put on my monitor a piece of paper which said cell 978 380 2399( OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. ---a dead number...).  so..... having a new cell and need ing to change it in places. ,,, i used that number.. not realizing it was not my new cell number.. but close, -- that numer is on many bank records which immobilized my online activity when they would send me a message to my cell....

ok.... now.   try opening your online bank info and having them send "codes" to the wrong cell number --it has taken over a month to get access to salem 5 because of that 

it was responsible for  my closing an account in tdb.  which then charged me $10 activity fee .. making me 10 overdrawn--- and janine being helpful  noticed and put $100 in to cover  overdraft...and forgot  to tell me...   I ENDED UP GPOING. TO THE BANK....and the lady at the bank had teh attitude "and how old are you?"   

I DON'T STAND A CHANCE  !!

lynn and i  had the grand tour of holly's in process / new kennel-- and it is a thing of beauty... i hope i have the numbers right--- kennels are against a wooden back with stainless 3 sides  she had 8 kennels not yet installed --- plus teh absolutely perfect guillotine type door--- with a swinging door added totalled about  $3000 per kennel.   we have about 30 kennels.  so to replace what we now have with what she is doing is close tp $100,000 for just those hardware items......and that is without the heated floor-- which she thinks her solar will pay for...  holly is a scientist type... and i would have confidence in her calculations.

 she is a friend of  my daughter gwen's-- the friendship is based on the fact that both their mothers are more than slightly nutty.

AND.... she told of a friend of her's who's kennel was considered "commercial" because she once earned $500 at some dog show.  that made me wonder... if i have not earned even $1  with the dogs  does that make us NOT commercial? SO WHAT ARE WE???? everybody can now refresh my memory... but..... i don't think i ever sold a dog or pup.

 .once i stopped charging to make pictures/ movies i don't think i ever made money with my dogs/ i always strictly avoided the "puppy farm".  title---dogs we "produce" are donated free of charge... dogs who do not make the program are donated to good homes.. usually with people who volunteer here... no money has ever been involved...  if people like what we do they donate to the cause....people have donated to me to speak which is not all service dog topics... i sell monkey fists and things like that.... but i do not remember any time  after 2000. when i sold a dog/pup.------- is that correct????

i have said before--- proving a negative can be  difficult.. but if we are not a commercial kennel... we are strictly charity.. i think there are a few other service dog

facilities that do not "charge" for thier dogs...i know of many who have some complicated arriangement about earning money for the facility -- which frankkly is just too complicated for me..

 plus i know... these people with the disabilities with which we deal  already have their  hands full and pockets often empty. HAVING ANY CHILD IS AN EXPENSIVE COMPLICATED DEAL.... the details of  having an handicapped  child  just boggles my mind.

aiding the handcapped...  especially veterans... has tremendous public interest...so our "following" has always  made it possible for us to donate-- free of charge....

neither i nor my relatives  draw any salary  from  SDP  activities as i see in the 990 forms filed by other service dog facilities...

i think we are pure..... BOY AM I GOING TO CATCH IT  IF I NEED TO BE CORRECTED.

  MY INTENTIONS ARE PURE IS THE WAY SOME POLITICIANS WOULD PHRASE IT !!

to  find a good home for any pups we can not use is  a huge relief--- 

i have never paid anyone to take one - but i think that is more probable than charging someone...

Still loving percolated coffee.

OK...i have had to redo the shuttle system already today..... I have delivered Gwen to the shuttle the five o'clock shuttle it's a perfect way to go to the airport.... but we need to have a discussion on how to get out of the shuttle parking lot... I've been stuck in that parking lot before and granted my memory is not what it was when I was 12 but it's probably not worse eiter.. any rate I knew that you go in you take a ticket and you come out and you put the ticket in the outgoing thing and it opens the gate for you because it realizes you've just been there to drop somebody off and very sophisticated with one of those squares with blobs in it and I was all prepared to do this feeling very sophisticated explaining it to Gwen.   so I got my ticket---- Gwen left -----and I headed toward the outgoing gate and I sat there

 

there were places to put your credit card in which I didn't want to do---- I I knew I hadn't done that before--- a place  to get a receipt or refuse to get a receipt and then something about swipe your entry card here----- so I swipppppped.  thinking it was going to read that black square BLOB -----and it didn't and I turned the BLOB upside down around sideways and backwards and everything on that spot and it didn't do a damn thing  ----  it was supposed to open the gate

 

 so I got out of my trustee cell phone which finally has a flashlight on the initial screen that you get so I sat there poking at the flashlight forever.......well few minutes anyway and the flashlight did not come on until I sat it back down on the dashboard which came came on and I had to try and turn it off----- I got the cell phone straightened out but I could not see where the put this entry card that I had been given------ I drove back to the little house trailer sort of thing with one little tiny toot of my horn which I was very thankful that Toyota allows you to make it fit very very quiet little “   toot   instead of a blasting horn----- any rate the guy heard me and came out and he said  “ well you go sit back there and he said I'll come back in a minute “ 

 

I went back and sat at the gate and studied the directions some more..... I could see nothing of what to do and then he came out he took the little card from me and he swiped iit under the whole little machine and the gate opened------ how was I supposed to know that??f the fact that  the sign told me to touch my card to the face of this machine that I really had to swipe it underneath the machine to get the gate open --------turns out there were directions to do that written in very tiny print at the bottom and because the machine was a little bit old and things like that the angle on that notice was aimed at the ground so when you're sitting in a normal car you could only see the top edge of the notice and not actually what it says so I pointed this out to the the guy -----at which point he said that's $7.00 I said I've only been here a few minutes

 

Being in no hurry , I went into the “little old confused lady routine.....” ..--------- I said I've been trying to get this thing to open the gate for me for 20 minutes so he said he'd have to go back and get his MasterCard let me out.. I said that's OK I'm in no hurry I had considered staying around until a little more daylight but I certainly was in no hurry he thanked me for being the only person in the world NOT  in a hurry and he went and got his card to get rid of the $7 charge... Poker chip and tell him to go back at his little cubbyhole where he said he had access to the Internet so do you watch it get the right camera and you can watch me go home so I was careful when I got home to drive down to the bar and turn around and come back just in case he was watching..

 

I could just see the designer of that box saying well they ought to be able to see this well it was damn small print and it was angled at the ground it was dark out it might have helped if we'd had one tiny little LED light in the design Etcetera...all before 5:15 in the morning...

Yesterday's news Janine did ride in the hunt on bud's mother..  the draft mare---- so she is once again been hunted in the staffle by a lady---which is the advertisement  used for supposedly the perfect course for a woman to ride to the hunt.

 

after the hunt there was a hunt tea---at  susannah's house----Susanna is the person who donated our walk in freezer to  SDP.

 

Betsy...... owner of scarlet our dog...... rode in that hunt yesterday and apparently did fall off but is OK..  I assume she was riding the mule..  which in itself is remarkable.. never did I think that anybody would be riding a mule in that particular myopia hunt..

 

to be technically correct. The animal she was riding is believed to be a henny...   a. mule is the cross between a horse's mother and a donkey father..  a hinny is the opposite combination of a horse father a donkey's mother.. there are people who think there's a huge distinction between a mule and a hinney.  ..  but I find such a huge variation in individual mules that I wouldn't begin to distinguish between a mule and a henny.. 

 To further your education for those who don't know..   you can breed mules and hinnneys  together and with various other things but you don't get babies...  so when Afghanistan wanted  big strong mules for their mountains they used to ship  mule babies out of Kentucky.

trees are the earths LUNGS  --- WE MISSED THAT AT LAST NIGHT'S MAIL CALL..

PERCOLATED COFFEE... WHATA  DIFFERENCE--- AND SMELLS BETTER TOO !! PAINLESS EVEN... ESPECIALLY IF YOU  CLEAN IT FROM YESTERDAYS AND RE LOAD IT-- THE IN THE MORNING ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PLUG IT IN.   IT SAYS A CUP EVERY MINUTE.. LIKE 4 CUPS READY IN 4 MIN OR 10 CUPS IN 10 MIN,

THE KEURIG IS NOT ALOT QUICKER IF IT HAS BEEN SHUT OFF ALL NIGHT.

WE ORDERED THE POT ABOUT 7AM AND IT WAS DELIVERED -- BY  AMAZON---- BY ELECTRIC CAR-- BEFORE 5PM. SO FAR HIGHLY RECOMMENDED... AS WE FINISHED UP THE SOUIS VIE STEAK. WHICH IS STILL  !GREAT! AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED-- AT LEAST FOR STEAK.. 

NOW AS FOR MODERN LIVING,, EITHER GWEN OR JUDY DECIDED --- CORRECTLY--- THAT ALEXA COULD PLAY MY SHOW MUSIC IN MY PROJECT ROOM...SO IN THE PROCESS OF SHOWING ME HOW IT WORKS.. "ALEXA HOW MUCH IS 9.50 X 75( THE HAY BALE  PROJECT ) 712.50.----- WHAT IS TEH TEMP IN LONDON---- SET THE ALARM FOR 8:30----- HOW MANY MILES IN 5K --- ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL AND I HAVE NO CLUE HOW ALL THAT WORKS.. AND REALLY DIDN'T NEED TO KNOW ---- UNTIL...... ASLEEP AT 8:30 PM... SNORING AWAY ----ENJOYING THE PEACE AND QUIET.. AND AT 8:31 IT STARTED PEEP...PEEP...PEEP.  EVERY 30 SECONDS

I SWORE LOUDLY. --- GOT OUT OF BED..  CHECKED MY COMPUTERR... TH E MAILCALL COMPUTER, THE COFFEE POT AND CELL PHONE..... FINALLY SCREAMING  "ALEXA SHUT UP". AND QUIET WAS RESTORED. ? THIS IS PROGRESS????

Big foot!!  gwen is now convinced... we have at least a mini big footie--- she is living in  the cabin-with wanda already there and janine not to be seen..... gwen decidedgo out with  wanda  to "pottie" not realizing wanda only goes out to bark  and  potties  when she comes back in the house.. out there ..inher jamies.. wanda barks once... and a low, deep growl came from the driveway- so both she and wanda decided it was either a footie or a bear  and ran ran back in and locked the door.  bring on tyhe puppy pee pads !!  the wildlife around here is wild...,.

incidental intelligence for the day-- but tells me china is building a dam several times bigger than the hoover dam-- and DOING IT ALL WITH ROBOTS?????

LAST NIGHTS SOUIS VIE STEAK EXPIRIMENT WAS NEARLY PERFECT...  THE DONENESS WAS PERFECT AT 131.8--- THE STUFF TO SEAR IT AND MAKE IT LOOK GOOD. COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER.... APPARENTLY THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT  CHARCHOL FLAVERINGS TO SEAR IT IN.  WHATEVER WE BOUGHT AT SHAWS WAS A CLEAR FLUID AND I COULD NOT TASTE ANY  "BURNED/FIRE " HICKERY.. BUT WE HAVE STEAK TO SHARE TODAY !!

EXCEPT 2 DAYS AGO  MY COVID TEST WAS NEGATIVE.. I DO NOT KNOW WHY PEOPLE EVEN MENTION THAT KIND OF FACT... IT HAS NO CURRENT  MEANING. EXCEPT TO SAY 2 DAYS AGO I. DID NOT HAVE COVID.

I WISH WE DID NOT HAVE SUCH A FEAR BASED COMMUNITY--- OTHERWISE I COULD BRING OUT MY STILTS AND HAVE KIDS TRY THEM OUT... BUT JUST LET SOMEONE GET HURT AND I COULD  BE SUED FOR ENCOURAGING STRANGE ACTIVITIES.  

WHAT CHIP WENT THRU TO DETERMINE THAT THE SWINGSET WOULD BE SUBSTANCIAL ENOUGH TO HOLD WHOEVER CHOSE TO SWING ON IT. WAS REMARKABLE--- AND CORRECT.  THE GUY DELIVERING 3 PIECES OF GRANITE FOR A BENCH WOULD NOT SET THE BENCH ON TH 2 STUMPS BECAUSE IF TI TOPPLED AND SOMEONE GOT HURT, HIS BOSS WOULD BE SUED....  FEAR....

AND WE ALL HAVE TO VOTE SOON....AAAAAUUUGGGHHHHHHH....

SPEAKING OF WEIRD TESTS-- I REMEMBER....... GEORGE MYERS AND I SEVERAL YEARS AGO GOT TO WONDERING IF THE HUMAN PREG TEST WOULD WORK ON DOGS--- SO I WENT TO THE DRUG STORE AND ASKED FOR A PREG TEST-- AND THE GUY LOOKED AT ME INCREDULOUSLY. ( AGE 7 0+++ AT THAT POINT) 

 MOVING ON...... THE ARTICLE IN. THE NEWS THIS WEEK..... IS THE FEDEX GUY  HELPING ME WITH THE PUP WHILE WEARING ONE SLIPPER.

SDP REALLY NEEDS A PAIR OF DAILY GRANDPARENTS.. SIT IN  THE WINDOW....AND WATCH ACTIVITIES,,,, GIVE TOURS.. KEEP THE FIRES GOING.. KEEP AN ACTUAL POT OF BREWED COFFEE ON THE IRON STOVE... WOULD YOU BELIEVE ??? PERCOLATED COFFEE !!!  WOW.. COULD BE DONE.AND HEAVENS.. HOW ABOUT A POT OF STEW SO WHEN STAFF OR VOLUNTEERS GO HOME THEY DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH COOKING????   WE KIND OF TRIED THE CHEF IDEA WHICH HAD GOOD AND BAD POINTS...

USTABEE ON A SUNDAY  I WOULD PUT  A BUNCH OF PREPARED VEGGEIS -- CARROTS.. ONIONS.. POTATOPES..PEAS...AND CHUNKS OF CHICKEN IN AN IRON POT WITH A "BOX" OF BROTH AND A BOTTLE OF HONEY MUSTARD SALAD DRESSING-- 4 HOURS OVER THE  FIRE IN THE.   T TENT AND EEVERYONE THOUGHT IT WAS TERRIFIC..   ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH AN HOUR COMMUTE WHO WERE THEN FACED WITH FEEDING. THEMSELVES AND A SIGNIFICANT OTHER.... OR OUR 3 LIVE ALONES WHO HATE COOKING.

JUDY,MEGHAN AND I GO TO THESE ADULT CARE CENTERS WHERE PERFECTLY CAPABLE  PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR ENTERTAINMENT...  IF WE COULD HAVE THEM VOLUNTEER TO  HOLD OUR HOUSE DOWN FROM 12 TO 6  ONE DAY A WEEK....IT WOULD BE A GODSEND...  REAL COFFFFFFFFFEEE... AND SOMEONE TO HELP WITH PHONE AND MAIL CALL. AND A HEARING EAR FOR PEOPLE COMING IN FOR A BREAK AND A CUPPA--- AND A SEEING EYE FOR THE PHOTOS ON THEIR CELL PHONES...

IF IT HAPPENED TO BE A RETIRED COUPLE AND ONE LOVED TO COOK----THE COLORFUL WAY--- ON OUR OLD GLENWOOD IRON STOVE--- WHICH I HAVE USED AND IT IS AN EXCELLENT COOKING DEVICE..   IF YOU FORGET YOU ARE LESS INCLINED TO BURN THINGS BECAUSE THE FIRE GOES OUT.-  THE FIRE IS ONLY IN ONE END OF IT... SO YOU SLIDE PANS AROUND TO VARY THE TEMP...

I HAVE NOT MADE BREAD ON IT... BUT I AM CERTAIN SOMEONE USED TO..... CAN YOU IMAGINE... SOME FRESH BAKED BREAD?????  GRANNIES ARE WELCOME TO EXPERIMENT ON THAT ON THAT STOVE.... OUR PEOPLE WORKING WITH THE DOGS ARE IN SUPERMARKETS MANY TIMES.  DAILY AND ARE "PERSONAL SHOPPERS"  FOR NEEDED ITEMS.   

 HOW ABOUT. UNCOVERING   ........ THE PASTA MAKER??????  THAT COULD ENTERTAIN LOTSA FOLK...

i have been taking a couple dogs out for the sitting/ achieving boredom. part of thier training.and my 2 sitting places are  ira toyota where they give me coffee... and then to costco. where i have to buy a slurpy.... so in. sitting there watching the shopping carts go by...i can not help but try and relate the  cart 

contents to the news of how expensive they say things are getting... couple that with questionable  availability....add a dose of childhood obesity... and so far... it ain't  visibility changed  costco  buying yet...  the place was mobbed... and the carts full of fruit loops and cupcakes--- i did not see any 50 pound bags of rice or massive canned stuff... ( my favorites  when  i go thru one of these frights.) as for cereal.... for you newbies...... i have to remind you of my friend who sent her 10 year old boys to the school bus with cups of "sweet feed"  a horse feed of mixed grains.. she declared it was all the same stuff including the ocassional bug...and probably healthier... i can not argue.. her boys are now. 6'2" and climb trees for a living...---every time i feed horses i look at the stuff.... it is not bad...  corn molassas,and things....  i could do it if hungry enough...  it is more appealing than dog food.

i am told that in sweeden gas is $6.00 a gallon,,, london$5.80 and china $8.39. ( russia $3.39) 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED... SITTER TYPES----back to costco sitting.... we have--- according to lynn--- an oversupply of dogs who need to achieve boredom-- which can be done at starbucks or dunkin.

IF  any of you local people want to have a go at just sitting around with a dog on a leash.. doing nothing remarkable at all.  a dog can not learn anything if they are fascinated with every person walking by....   COSTCO HAS TEH ULTIMATE OF TRAFFIC.... AND THEY DO NOT BAG THE GROCERIES SO IT IS PERFECT "DON'T SNIFF THAT" TRAINING TOO.

TODAYS CHORE IS AN ADULT CENTER  IN PEABODY WHERE WE PLAY TEH. FRY PAN GAME--- WHERE JUDI OR MEGHAN  GIVE A SMALL FRY PAN TO A SEATED  PERSON,  THEN  DROP A COOKIE AND I--- AT THE OTHER END OF THE ROOM--- SEND ONE DOG TO GET THE COOKIE , HAVE THEIR PICTURE TAKEN, BE PATTED... THEN COME BACK TO WHERE I AM SEATED... SO FAR IT HAS WORKED WELL....IT DID NOT TAKE TOO MUCH TIME TO GET THEM TO "GO GET THE COOKIE" 

AND IT DOES START THE TRAINING TO "GO" ---- LEAVE ME..--- GO WITH ANOTHER PERSON... THINGS LIKE THAT

just a reminder-------+way back---the board and general population of sdp decided people without vaccinations would not be allowed in any building...  not only for my advanced age but everybody else either has grandparents or grandchildren or complicated immune whatever...

THE DEAL IN NEW HAMPSHIRE WAS AN INTERESTING GROUP OF  MOSTLY SEEING EYE  .. PLUS A HEARING EAR WITH AN INTERPRETERER

WHO SPELLED OUT WHAT I SAID IN ASL---  NICE GROUP-- ALL BLIND WANTED TO COME SEE (BY FEEL) OUR DANES-- AND THE EACH AD A SERV DOG... SO WE STOOD LARKEY VERY CAREFULLY-- WHO WAS TERRIFFIC AS THEY FELT ALL OVER. .   MANY POTENTIAL DISASTERS BUT ABSOLUTELY NONE...  AND WE DID MEET A CHARACTER... JUDI.. WHO'S ENTHUSIASM FOR THE GROUP WAS  PENETRABLE?????

AS SHE PASSED OUT PAPER RAFFLE TICKETS... I GOT TO THINKING .....  THAT IS JUST WHERE I WAS 20 YEARS AGO.  MAYBE........

LONG DAY -- I HAD BEEN UP SINCE 1AM. - LEFT FOR CONCORD NH 9 30 ANAD NOME BY 4-- MAIL CALL  WAS SHORT- WENT DIRECTLY TO. BED AND SLEPT TIL 4AM....

WHICH CAUSED ME TO HAVE ... NOT NIGHTMARES-- MORE  dream... oF TURNING ON MY COMPUTER AND HAVING  A SECOND BUTTON  WAY OVER ON THE LEFT-- NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE--WHEN I PUSHED IT THE ENTIRE SCREEN WENT BLACK WITH ONE  WHITE DOT--- LIKE IT USED TO BEFORE MICROSOFT... IT WAS WAITING  FOR ME TO ENTER THE "COMMANDS" TO PROGRAM IT AS I WOULD LIKE.... IN BLACK AND WHITE..... NO WEATHER REPORTS FROM  SOUTH AFRICA.------ WHATTA DREAM !!

IN MY HALF AWAKE STATE.. I WONDERED HOW. M,ANY INTERESTING WAYS WE COULD PICK WINNERS... CERTAINLY A YELLOW LAB BRINGING BACK A NUMBERED  YELLOW TENNIS BALL OUT OF A PILE...   AND THEN I GOT TO POCKETS BRINGING ME "SOMETHING" I HAVE TOSSED.... TO PAY HER HAY BILL?????

I HAD LOTS OF IDEAS-- WAYS TO "USE" WHAT I NOW HAVE.

i don't know how i am expected to be intelligent at noon to talk with these people in new hampshire

i have literally been awake since 1am.-----maybe judy drive and i can sleep????

this upcoming legal case has me running things thru my head...

i have tried to make a cronological list of happenings.. lynne ( nnova scotia lynne)'s 8 years of nightly noise reports is among other things... interesting...

like before 2017 the roosters got up at 4:00 to 4:10. religiously.  after that  it was midnight plus .  sometimes  the plane  fly over. at 1:46am   she did not miss a thing.... without lawyers permission , i cannot share it... yet...
