anna report

dealing with anna sometimes is better with 2 people...

2 am...  i was awake anyway so i held her upright while ben cleaned up-- the rest were starving per usual..

.it is time we got the entire litter going on marches- and today... around teh fireplace---to start... lynn is off today but maybe haley can help..

this will be complicated by the fact that we usually tap the can  to get attention and corral the group by giving them a snack.. -- we cAN not do that with anna in the group

it will be a organizational challange...

ustabee--- from spoon feeding and tapping the can   we had a preprogrammed "march". where they would happily trot along behind.. if anyone started to drift.. a couple taps and quick spoonfull to all got them in line again..... from around the fireplace-- to arround the house.. to down to the t tent and back..  to puppy hill for a real runaround and recall.. tehn into the ambulance for the fairgrounds...sometimes with an adult or two. ?bentely and jiminey???? to ride herd... it would take me a total of about 30 minutes for the round trip.. i moved a bit faster then.

there is a danger. i would have to take a second person.....these are still small enough to get under the van... and there is a hot muffler therer. so i/we need someone "fleet of foot" to keep track of that--. teh fairgrounds is a huge flat  grassy parking lot-- where a very few other dog owners might be there.. in which case we outwait them...  the reason it is not used more frrequently is that it is not fenced.... and right on  route 1... but it is a long run for a puppy to get to route  1 .. so... as long as i have a "fleet of foot" with me.. we should be ok.

nothing you ever do with animals is ever 100%-- much to the delight of teh  "negative hindsighters". who lurking in the  sidelines just waiting to display their 20-20 hindsight....for something they can condemn as mean...cruel... foolish .. or irresponsible. I  have been that road.. and the internet makes it  a super highway !!  granted... if  we kept them all in cages they would be safe.. they would also be  neurotic mental idiots without a muscle to their frame..

i can remember..... when my 2 kids were very young,  they got a 3 speed bike  and i taught them how to  use the bike to get to  the bakery in lynnfield for an eclair. these bikes were not toys... i  cringe. now.-----not only the streets are more dangerous, but the people on those streets are ludicrous.   now i see kids on perfectly good bikes riding in circles  in their own driveway..

.i also had  a firm belief that giving a kid a toy hammer was  contraindicated .  a rinky dink plastic pretty red and blue toy  hammer cost twice what a small real hammer costs and why frustrate the child with a virtually non useable hammer????  a few short nails and a hunk of wood with instructions about  not having your sister hold the nails.... and it is an educational piece of equipment.  as is a pulley and a short piece of rope...  and a siphon hose with bucket of water...OUTSIDE.  ..

. i don't think i ever spent 10 cents in "toys r us"-- and rarely  on anything plastic... not because i was being inteledtual... that p;lastic toy stuff was expensive-- and usually more expensive than any real products they were imitating.  plus the bit about  i never bought a  set of  toy cooking pots for my daughters... the concept of women cooking and men hunting and building. went out just as soon as women discovered chopping wood was not done with an axe, but a light chain saw.  and digging big holes  or moving large objects  was done by moving your wrist a few inches...

Geometry  and physics. – both very real  concepts for young children.  and useable in  toys and  future homekeeping—I am not saying there is no place for  the qame of chess for conceptual; planning... but I hardly ever hear of that  in the real world now.... not even on their cell phones !!!!

Back to my  taking the pups to the fairgrounds and the risk involved.... I think it is worth it... because  after the fairgrounds it is simple to take the litter to a nursing home or hospital and have them all follow in a run thru the halls cheering everyone. Up...  totally doable.. just keep moving......   as long as  we have done our homework. And done  the progression..  another fun thing is to go to Costco with the british pram  and a pup or two in the pram. they love it !!  and where we take so many dogs there for training... it does make sense.. to take that pram anywhere we “use” for training...

With pups hunger is a noisy thing....i can hear them in the complaint department.

and i thought i was nuts...... maureen and alan  have a roaring business with "goats to go"  (along with a construction type company that is not nearly as much fun....)

they live in gerogetown( next town) 1/2 theyear .. and foroida the other1/2--
what is so strange??? they have 133 goats.... and they take them with them to florida in a double decker bigggg trailer.-- teh whole thing is  very similar to crazy acres...they sell a goat cuddle and ice cream for $30 on a sunday afternoon-- and get sold out !!   their place is lovely.. with pond and substasntial acres...-- goat yoga.. goat races... a bunch of goofey ideas all fun.
it was reassuring to me to find another  kindred soul who has found a need to provice some fun and relaxing atmosphere for total strange nuts......

i knew them long ago ... in our draft horse phase. ....alan was pres of the yankee draft horse association when i was looking for a way to get 200 people from oublic parking on route 1.... to the barn building site about 2 miles away...
long story  and i do now have the video... if i could only figure out how to share it...... barn burned  early morning in saugus-- i was up early and heard on the tv...horses running loose etc-- so i ran to help-- found an awful mess-- but  alot of horses made it out and  altho there was fire dept. neighbors , etc all thtre being helpful, the regular world  did not know  a horse needs attention at least every 8 hours-- hay and water.. if nothing else- when the barn burned they of course lost all their hay and  feed... so i ran back up  rt 95 and came back with a truckload of hay /grain/buckets/ropes to get them started... i happened to drive thru home depot where i told the manager about  the fire...and he picked up on it..eventually providin 100 volunteers and it turned into a  huge production  with local hot dog company ( neighbor of my daughter gwen.) truck full of sausages onions peppers and hot dogs along with staff to cook it...  ambulancew crew.. local carbenters union ( thank heavens-- they were th eonly ones who knew what we were doing.. rex trailer ---boston's  tv cowboy lead teh wagon trail  of draft horses and hay wagons full of workers....on "goldrush lll"  and made  a video for us on vhs.. which i now have on my computer(thanks to  legacy transfer co)   but.  i don't yet know how to share it.  it is a big file....
 maybe a couple pictures...

it was alot to ask of the draft horse owners... get their 2 horses at 2000 pounds each ..plus a hay wagon ( another ton or two... ) and harness all ready to go at 6am in saugus-- thy had to start loading all that about 3am.. but they were all there....  about 6 teams...
you have not understood horse power until you have ridden behind a team of those drafts.. -- they got those wagons rolling with very little effort .. one team even had a baby draft tied to the side of mommie's harness. trotting right along with her.. no problem...

we  had a team... dick and duke... once the lead team in a disney hitch..  beautifully trained... you cou dl stop them outside a coffee shop and tell them to stay there.... go have coffee... and when you came back they would still be standing there.. because they were so nice... we inadvertantly bought a very pretty pair of grey mares .. i say inadvertantly.... we were at an auction  ?penna??/ and the 2 mares were pregnant-- and teh bidding was $3500-- so teh hammer fell.... we bought them... problem was... when i went to write the check... the secretary said one word i will never forget....  EACH.....    i swallowed hard and wrote teh check for $7000 and had to run ome and figrue out how i was goin g to cover that.

they were young and beautiful-- but no wheres near as nice to handle as duke and dick.... they had not spent hours in teh fields with  teh amish farmers... this is why when janine comes home with a mule out of the amish auction.   we are  pretty sure it will be a well trained reliable animal   being retired for some ? health issue...  with clyde -- the open sore on his withers.. and mo with her "choke" problem.

what finally got us ot of teh draft horses  was .. with the 4... we learned about shoes for drafts-- done by the kriz  blacksmithing. family.  $250 per horse... every 8 weeks.
there was no way to skip teh smithing bill....  or the hay bill either...
experience comes from experience--- not always bad experience- but it was an expensive one.

goat progress

look at teh 3 runs the already stripped.. and where they have now started....

may 29 2021

some detasils ON FENCE PROJECT......FIRST STEP WENT REALLY WELL

2021 5 29

The first problem out of the dog runs was going to be the Poison Ivy or just plain Ivy whatever it is it's going to take a lot of effort to get rid of it until we remembered the goat project and the5 goats Janine bought thinking they were girls but that thing in the back was not an  UTTER so we now have five neutered male goats who are super at cleaning brush well not cleaning brush but eating anything that's green with the exception of the Fern which apparently is poisonous grazing animals----- I put out our first three goats SNAP crackle and pop and they really kind of looked overwhelmed so I called Janine and asked her to bring over the two she still had and with five goats working we got it all done in about a day and a half------ so they now have been moved to another section of the world and are very busy knowing away all we have to do is give them water apparently space ------other than that I have two companies sending fence---DEERr Busters has a very neat collection of things packages weather have posts and a sleeve to pound into the ground first and just set the post into it ----- the problem with deer Busters is is there website is very difficult to deal with and I ordered on May 17th and as of yesterday   (28) they still hadn't gotten it until the freight so 2 phone calls and a lot of harassing they called back and said it is now on its way from dear Busters---     but I got tired of waiting so I went back to my farm tech old faithful that's farm TEK dot com they don't quite have the same thing but enough to get us going on other projects with the fence like straightening out what we have and then running a Polly whatever well they call it a baton along the top which among other things will allow us to to visually check the fence across the field to see whether it's all still up ------

this whole project will eliminate an awful lot of mismatching chain link fence which Lynn has her eye on as we resort to basically 2 by 4 wire twisted wire horse Fense with something at the top sometimes that white batten will work------ in some cases we may have to put a  conduit pipe much like what I now have around the chickens in some places we're going to be able to use basically chickenwire one inch HEX design which is covered with black Polly whatever polymax it is very nearly invisible so we're going to put that around the pond and around the puppies most anything else can happen after that

there was a woman and her son who came up the driveway within the last week looking for community service hours over the summer for her son and his friend and I certainly want to announce now that yes we are as of Monday all set for preferably kids with a lot of energy who could help us with the fence project and do their community service hours of the same time. In addition to that I think we have.  two older kids.  who will actually be on the payroll... God bless community service. there will be a lot of physical effort involved with this project.

I hope I can include a picture but I have taken about the excellent work the goats are doing ---it was taken from our driveway and the first three dog runs have been stripped of everything green and you can see the goats now working on the next part.. the only thing they haven't eaten was the Fern which looks fairly attractive which is also poisonous to grazing animals and the goats know that. the other thing we're going to have to figure out is now that they've eaten all the leaves off these small trees and whatever you can't just cut them off at ground level and leave a tiny little one inch stump because that ends up being a little pointy thing which can seriously hurt a dog running around or a horse if it's long enough so these small trees or whatever I got the other need to be pulled up or cut off at about 1 foot tall either way the pastures are much improved because of the goats.

now that COV has been slightly abated.. I'm looking forward 2 the participation of our volunteer crew help with the donkeys and chickens and other things around here to keep crazy acres on an even keel if there is such a thing.... I would like to get some baby chickens as the ones we have very little old and in spite of the roasters here we don't seem to be making any babies of our own which is not unusual in the chicken world.

------

and then we get to megasoft aegus. -  Anna is officially diagnosed as megasafaga's which is based basically I think a pouch in the esophagus which collects bits of food so there's a mechanical problem there which also can'cause inhalation pneumonia which can be fatal---- there's a lot been said and read about megasoft Acas and we have lost puppies because of it but that was before the Bailey chair arrived which is a designed chair where the puppy sits on their rear end with her front paws on the table in front of them with the food and they sit there about 20 minutes half hour after they eat so everything gets washed down there are a few other things involved like medication but the Bailey chair seems to be doing a very good job the last dog we started on this was Tilly who is here today with Lindsey who did overnight and she's doing fine she outgrows the first chair and we bought a second one I thought we would buy a third one but we don't seem to need it which makes Lindsey basically our expert on megasoft aegus she did a lot of reading and research and although veterinarians will say they can't outgrow it... what seems to actually happen is their owners learn to manage it better because right of the moment Tilly is eating out off a raised feeder like we do anyway and is not getting any other exceptional care and she has had no problem I always hate to say something like that because of Fate'l  get you every time but she right now is almost a year old and they're showing no signs of having a mega soften his problem whether that's because she outgrew it or Lindsay learned manage it better who knows we're on our way with Anna there's a wonderful picture from last night's mail calls with bud holding Anna upright for the prescribed half hour after eating arana fell asleep and bud nearly fell asleep in the chair in front of the fireplace somebody did take a picture it's cute..

-----

Speaking of bud which I often do as I was riding around lining up fences bud was dressed in his pverallsworking on the tracgtor...  .  he would wipe off the grease gun fitting and then pump in a little bit of Greece... so I sat there talking to him I asked how many of the maybe 10 people who were o n ther farm yesterday would even know what a grease fitting was and nobody did------ not only did they not know what a grease fitting was they didn't know you really supposed to wipe it off  to pump in anything or else you're pumping in a whole bunch of dirt  where you need to have the slippery stuff ----------is there no one left in society that learning to take care of mechanical things like bud does??

Routine maintenance seems to only pertain two cars being maintained by dealers so that you can get on their computer system and when you sell the car it's worth so much more because it's had routine maintenance but the rest of the world with lawn mowers and tractors snow blowers and things like that routine maintenance is a thing of the past unless you happen to know somebody like bud who knows an awful lot more then how to grace a tractor... but I keep thinking that all these kids doing community service here really should make a point of being here when buds here it'll follow around for 20 minutes they would get an education but they've got nowhere else.. Case in point two washing machines deemed irreparable by the repairman were fixed bye bud for $13.00 each.. now how many washing machines are there in the various transfer stations that could be fixed for $13.00 you have a regular business going every time I have to throw away one the bike can fix I always want to take the motor out because they have excellent usually heavy duty electric motors in them but nowadays people don't want to do with the electric motors the same 30 years ago one of my favorite places to go was the town dump'cause I could get more things out of the dump than I would take to it

the town dump has now been replaced by the transfer station which generally is so busy they don't have time to pick out the very valuable things that are in the dump ----I I watch lumber being tipped into that pile which 30 years ago I have been pulling that out as fast as I could -----the worst case at the trans. portation that I go to was the big cardboard box full of copper pennies which they then just tipped out onto the ground ----they were there for months nobody pick him up with that horrible sludge which ends up in the foreground there but there was a lot box full of pennies---------- there's a lot of electric light switch probably only needed cord----- I just I just plain could not work there..

used to be... when I first moved to this area there was an old man lived on a corner in topsfield he did have a barn an old barn and he collected bicycles which he then repaired and put on his front lawn and sold them for 30 or $40.00 each and he had more bicycles that he could deal with people would throw him out because they didn't how to fix them take a bicycle with a bent front wheel because somebody hit a curb or something all you gotta do is replace the wheel and who perfectly good bicycles

he's not there anymore but there is an official bicycle repair shop in town where you can have bike fixed or maintained for $64 a year or something like that I don't know even bicycles gotten so complicated they're hardly any good anymore.

they should be a means of transportation.. and in some cases like Cambridge MA it's faster to go by bike then car -------and the completely idiotic bikes are the ones in fitness facilities where you pedal this thing against against friction.  and and you could be generating electricity at the same time------ I've often wondered in some of these monstrous fitness places well they have 20 bikes in a row how much electricity they could be generating.. as much as the wind mills????.. it certainly seems to me like it's a waste of energy which which instead of making electricity just get stored as fat.

Along time ago there was a person who had hooked up a pedal bike to a generator and made his kids pedal to watch television where is that band now maybe it was a woman... if the kids had to pedal to work their cell phones I might be a little more agreeable about cell phones and I bet the kids would be a lot more fit

Good afternoon Carlene,

I haven't written an update in a while, my apologies. Charlotte continues to help me do just regular things that I wouldn't be able to do otherwise. Last week I went to catch a Cincinnati Reds ballgame. Charlotte was absolutely on her job as soon as her vest came on. She was focused on making sure I don't get too dizzy or straight fall over. It was amusing that the staff there that saw her were more interested in what she does than the fans. I don't want to draw attention, I just want to live my life. But Charlotte does that so very well.

My mother passed away a few months ago and even with the Covid protocols on the airplanes Charlotte found her spot and laid down without a peep out of her. It was really interesting that the Dayton Airport had almost all of the food and souvenir stands closed while the Chicago airport was packed with almost all shops open. Charlotte stayed right at my side focused on her job, not messing around.

We are considering going to Disneyworld during winter break this December. We've had Charlotte at Dollywood last spring break but fingers crossed that it'll be cool enough in Florida. Thank you and your team in preparing these dogs for service. Charlotte has given me back so much of my life that was being lost. Cheers!

Paul and Charlotte

IT MAY BE TRUE. WHO AM I TO QUESTION.. I FOUND OUT  ON THE INTERNET ... IN MY EMAILS THIS MORNING....

EVERYTIME YOU THINK YOU  HAVE HEARD IT ALL......BUT. ALTZEIMERS IS CAUSED B Y BRUSHING YOUR TEETH THE WRONG WAY????

20 1 space 5 space 28

This is going to be a very interesting daily doggie because I cannot correct anything my keyboard is not working and of all the batteries we have we do not have the one needed in this keyboard good space I meant to get on to a discussion about the fencing but it's going to be difficult I did manage to get into the a failed with a tractor so I could actually count how many long thin runs we do have and there are eight of them and the fencing is in excellent shape just a little crooked so in the process of straightening it out it's just gonna take some bull work and then the decision has to be made what do we put at the top of the fence do we run one pipe which is what I did in the chicken area or can we use one either 2 inch or 4 inch white strapping which would give us a visual of whether the fence was up at all and it would also support the fence to some degree

In the process of counting the fencing yesterday I stopped in the driveway and sat on my golf cart trying to figure out what fancy went where of the jumble and I thought appropriate they take on a small nap at the same time after which I'm told 17 cars drove by me sound asleep with my head on the steering wheel

oh how I'm gonna get this attached and be able to send it I don't know I might have to quit now because the keyboard is just not happy at all oh

MAY 27 2021

blessed be the rained upon---i took a chance and spread fertalizer on both the pond area and flat field which really needed to be rained on before the dogs ate and walked on it..

now i can take teh spreader off the tractoir and get back to the mower/vacuum before i need the snow plowing device.
----
ok--- i got the instructions to go get the lump off my leg-- sounds like a camping trip-- apparently they cut tehn look then cut and look until they got all the margins..  EN SITE U   is the magic word i obviousely don't know how to spell. SO BRING A BOOK???? and we have no cafeteria because of cov... so pack a lunch.... how about a monkey fist making. equipment... last time i did this  i gave monkey fists to anyone who aided me -- eventuallyi had alot of staff "isn't there anything i can do for you  to earn one of those monkey fists???" and while you are at it , you may not be able to drive home...
---
guns...   i have 3. -- rifle things- in the corner of my closet--  i do not have a clue where they came from ... or  how to use them except to maybe hitting someon over the head with one... one is a beebee gun , one normal looking rifle, and the other is older than i am with the wooden poker to stuff the bullet down in order to shoot it???
now... if only the gun fanciers decided that kind was teh exact gun they must have , then they could shoot at only one target at a time.  and since these people with the wooden stuffer bullets would not have the hours it would  take to become a sharpshooter they probably wouldn't hit anything.
i tried to sell them once.... actually  as soon as i was told that wooden stuffer made that rifle valuable...turns out i needed a permit to have them before i could sell them-- so i went to the police in lynnfield mas..... this is the critical part.....the chief asked me where i got them---i was cautious about ownership so i said they appeared when i married my  husband so they must be his.... at which point he would not give me a permit to own  because of some law about wives owning guns....or even worse trying to sell thier husbands guns.

so i am left with 3 guns to hit someone over the head with???? actually. MONKEY FISTS  are also outlawed in some places ?? airplanes?? because of people swinging them around as weapons.... next they will outlaw toothbrushes in an effort to avoid dealing with the gun issue... i once read a book about the invention of the gattling gun- for war... where it worked well .. but now????
-----
gossip  and the  interpersonal  transferring of information  has balooned in the same way as teh rifle and gattl;ing gun.--
ustabee one housewife would lean out her window and tell her neighbors who was sleeping -- or not sleeping-- with whom.. and as teh story went round.. it changed  slightly with the will of teh gossiper..... now   minus those people called editors who checked for truth in news......with facebook we are facing the gattling gun of the information  age -- totally out of control....stories get passed around reeking havic and destroying much in it's wake.-- the more ludicrous the faster and wider. goes teh "information" .. it only stops when someone uses their  head  and  says "lets check on that".  but we move too fast. no one checks anything.... and teh bizzarre stories get bizzarrier and bizzarrier...
-----
when i was in edinburgh-- someone in this math/ physics group decided to plot anything with statistics involved ( also closely related to population) and the graph of those numbers became asymptotic ( straight up to infinity ) in mid 1980's.  that is certainly about when  too much too many  became normal .

try cost of tickets to a broadway  show....  way back you could see any show if you were willing to sleep on the sidewalk and pay $2 for standing room-- even the most popular "south pacific ".. etc...  and the collection of college kids sleeping on th e  sidewalk became normal..  now you have to order standing room tickets 3 months ahead... and tehy cost $80...

the ad line... no longer can you fix your  car with a hammer and screwdriver now you need a computer...
the other half of that is    if you need a computer to tell you you have a flat tire, you get what you desearve.

we are soooo dependent on systems...  try getting lettuce from california to boston... i worried about the very few bridges over the hudson river albany to new york....... and graduated to  counting the bridges over. the mississippi river... there are not many...

i was encouraged with the tv  show on the urban farming being done in odd bits of open land in cities...all the way to growng lettuce in  those shipping coontainers in which we keep our purina dog food.

i better go get my knee fixed..

MAY 26 2021

I WILL TELL YOU TEH KIND OF DECISIONS I HAVE TO MAKE AROUND HERE.....

I HAVE ALREADY SPREAD LYME AND FERTALIZER ON THE POND PLAYFIELD AND REALLY SHOULD KEEP DOGS OFF IT TIL IT RAINS.... SO THAT  IS OFF LIMITS FOR EXERCISING FREELY.....

NOW I HAVE 8 BAGS OF FERTGALIZER WHICH SHOULD GO ON THE FLAT TIELD. WHICH NEEDS IT...
WE CAN LET THEM PLAY THERE UNTIL I SPREAD IT.. AND THEN IT HAS TO RAIN BEFORE THEY CAN SPEND ANY TIME THER..... SO CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHEN TO SPREAD  TEH FERTALIZER..... SO THAT THE TIME "OFF USE" IS MINIMUM .. ESPECIALLY SINCE I HAVE ALREADY SCREWED UP THE POND AREA...?

Hi Carlene,
I think there needs to be a training session on poop scooping in the stalls. Manure forks are designed to let shavings drop out and retain manure. You know that and I know that but not everybody knows that. There is a wrist movement that  encourages shavings to drop out and manure to stay on the fork. There is an up/down shake that does the same thing, but too much and the manure breaks apart and also falls between the tines. It is an art, learned over time, and  valued highly. When I retire from my job in the fall of 2022, I will contact you and maybe I can come down for a week and train everyone in poop scooping for maximum manure retention and minimum shavings retention to improve your compostable materials pile and reduce your shavings cost.
Have a wonderful week,
Judi

QUESTION OF THE DAY.... WHY IS THE BARTENDER IS OFTEN MORE INTERESTING THAN THE CUSTOMERS.???   .

..   STRATA---- LOTS OF DISCUSSIONS ABOUT TEAMS.....DOES THE CORPORATE " TEAM EFFORT"  INCLUDE THE NIGHT WATCHMAN AND FLOOR POLISHERS???   TO BREAK DOWN OUR STAFF......FROM PUPPY RAISERS TO PAPER PUSHERS, TO TRAINERS,, THEY WOULD ALL HAVE AN IMPOSSIBLE JOB IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE POO PICKERS.    BOTH VOLUNTEERING AND  EARNING A LIVING WAGE....  THERE IS NO WAY WE CAN DIVIDE UP INTO  TEH "PUPPY TEAM"  OR "TRAINING TEAM"   -- IF WE AIN'T ALL PICKING POO, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A MESS ON OIUR HANDS ( AND FEET AND RUGS) -- AND LIKE  WHEN TEH SUPERMARKET CHAINS GET IN SOME PERSONEL   SHORTAGE.....  THEY   HAVE TO  RESORT TO MANAGEMENT WORKING THE CASH REGISTERS AND LOADING THE SHELVES.....  THE PICKING OF THE POO IS SECOND ONLY TO REFILLING WATER BUCKETS...   THERE ARE JOBS FOR WHICH THERE IS NO "OFF PUTTING "  TIL TOMORROW....
NOW THAT I HAVE A LOT LESS TO DO... I DO GET A CHANCE TO WATCH WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING AROUND HERE...I MUST SAY ... WE ARE A "  TERRIFFIC TEAM EFFORT"
MOST NOTEABLY--- I CAN  AND DO PICK  A POO OR TWO... BUT  I CAN GET  OFF AND ON THE GOLF CART AND BEND OVER JUST SO MANY TIMES A DAY.... SO WHEN  I SPOT A POO THAT NEEDS PICKING, EVENTUALLY I JUST "LABEL" IT BY THROWING A PACK PF POO PICKERS  RIGHT NEAR IT.. SO THAT IF ANOTHER BENDABLE PERSON COMES ALONG, THEY DON'T HAV TO GO FIND A BAG... IT IS RIGHT THERE...
THIS SYSTEM WORKS WELL  AS I  HARDLY EVER SEE A POO THAT HAS NOT BEEN PICKED BY 5PM...  MY CONGRADULATIONS OUR.... "  SINGULAR TEAM"

AND THERE ARE AMUSING THINGS I SEE. AS I SIT AROUND DOZING   ON MY GOLF CART.....

BEING OLD, CANTANKEROUS, AND MORE THAN SLIGHTLY  DEAF IS PUTTING ALOT ON LYNN- WHO IS DOING BEAUTIFULLY AS DIRECTOR OF THE WHOLE OUTFIT..... I MIGHT AD..
SUNDAY  SOMEONE CALLED AND WANTED TO COME SPEAK TO SOMEONE IN CHARGE ABOUT VOLUNTEERING.......  THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE MY/ OR OFFICE    PHONE NUMBER... BUT LYNNS...  SO LYNN AND I SAT AROUND AND WAITED FOR THEIR ARRIVEAL
.  .  WHEN THEY GOT HERE.. THEY CAME THRU THE GATE AND IMMEDIATELY WENT TO TALK TO LYNN ... TOTALLY IGNORING ME AS I SAT THERE ON THE TRACTOR..   THAT IS FINE... THAT IS WHAT THEY NEEDED TO DO...  BUT I NEVER EVEN GOT A "HI THERE.. NICE DAY ISNT IT"

WHICH WAS A BIT OF A SHOCK... BUT ALSO AN EDUCATION---  THEY NEEDED TO TALK TO THE DECISION. MAKER... WHICH S LYNN-- NO PROBLEM THERE... EXCEPT THE DIDN'T HAVE ANY EXTRA BRAIN CELLS AVAILABLE TO SAY "HI" TO THE UNDERLING  CARRYING DIRT AROUND/.??

SO I AM ONTO MY TRASH COLLECTOR'S IMPORTANCE..... DID THE COV NOT TEACH EVERYONE TEH IMPORTANCE OF THE  "SUPPORTAVE " INDUSTRY LIKE SUPER MARKET  PEOPLE KEEPING THE SHELVES FULL OF TOILET PAPER???  ..

WHEN YOU GO INTO A SUPER MARKET WITH OR WITHOUT MASKS.. IT DOES NOT HURT TO SAY  "HI-- GOOD JOB.  "   TO THE  GUY LOADING  THE SHELVES -- OR SWEEPING THE FLOOR....   BELIEVE ME...... EMPLOYMENT POSITION IN LIFE IS NO INDICATION OF ABSOLUTE INTELECTUAL CAPABILITIES OR TEH ABILITIY  TO CREATE.  A LAUGH OR SMILE....DO YOU NEED A FINANCIAL JUSTIFICATION FOR THE SIMP;LE "HI"   ??   IT WON'T HURT THE BALANCE SHEET.... .

IT IS NOT SAFE TO LEAVE ME SITTING AROUND IN A HOSPITAL.  OR BIG OFFICE  WAITING ROOM....  I WATCH...  THERE I S ALWAYS A GUY MOPPING/SWEEPING  SOMEWHERE IN VIEW.... IT IS INTERESTING TO WATCH WHO WILL EVEN SPEAK TO THEM....

THERE IS SOMEWHAT THE SAME REACTION TO SOMEONE IN A WHEELCHAIR...  PEOPLE TALK OVER YOUR  HEAD.. IF IT WAS NOT FOR THIGNS LIKE CENTER OF GRAVITY, I WOULD SUGGEST WHEELCHAIRS BE MADE SO  WHEELEES WERE EYE LEVEL WITH THE REST  OF THE WORLD.
-----

SPEAKING OF  INVENTION... AND POO...
WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER  I HUNG OUT AT A BARN WHICH HAD MANY DOGS...  WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH  ONE OF TEH DOGS WHO HAD A TERRIBLE LOOSE STOOL AND BECAUSE  THEY WERE ALL BARN DOGS.. WE HAD A HARD TIME FIGURING OUT WHICH ONE???

SO I GOT SOME BEADS  AND FED TEH DOGS......WHITE  WAS TIMMY.  RED CLARA AND  BLUE  WAS SARGE...---AND PRESTO CHANGO....  A RED SOUPY MESS WAS CLARA.. NO CONFUSION....
MANY TIMES SINCE  I HAVE THOUGTH I SHOULD INVENT THAT.... AND FINALLY I SEE SOMEONE HAS DOEN JUST THATG...   I WATGCH N'TL GEORGRAPHIC   WHICH OFTEN  HAS STORIES OF THE ZOO IN AUSTRALIA.. AND THEY HAVE AN ENCLOSURE OF WOLVES WHERE THE PICKER THERE REMARKED.... SHE HAD FOUND THE GREEN, AND BLUE WOLF POO AND WAS STILL LOOKING FOR THE RED ONE.
 SHOULDA COULDA ,, BUT DIDN'T
I DON'T IMAGINE THERE IS A TREM,ENDOUS CALL FOR POO MARKERS... BUT THERE IS SOME !!

Hi Carlene,

Just a quick message to let you know that little Anna vomited around 6 hours ago. Approx.
1:00 am your time.  Heather did not see it as she was in with the Paula and pups. They were
all asleep and quite at the time and Anna just popped her head up and out it came. It woke up
all the other pups and they very quickly went and cleaned up her mess is seconds... so nothing to show
when Heather came in.  So just wanted to give you a heads up!  Heather does an amazing job,
she is fabulous with all the dogs... but she can't be in 2 places at once EmojiEmoji

MAY 25 2021

ANXIOUS TO SEE IF MY "ORGANISED ROOSTING" PROJECT OF YESTERDAY WAS EFFECTIVE... I WANT TO BE SURE THOSE WHO WANT TO ROOST HIGH CAN GET THERE...

I DI D GO THRU THE  MURRARY MCMURRAY CATA LOGUE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO GIVE AN OPINION ( PREFERABLY TO SAM). MAYBE I N WEEK OR SO WE COULD ORDER CHICKS...
--------
ANNA WITH HER MEGESPPH IS SO FAR SO GOOD... MUST WORK ON TH E  BAILEY CHAIR TODAY...  SHE IS FINALLY RELAXING BEING HELD VERTICAL SO FOOD CAN SLIDE DOWN...  ACTUALLY... THIS JELLO BIT IS NEW TO ME..   CLEAR JELLO SO WE CAN BE SURE SHE IS GETTING HYDRATED.. IT IS A MECHANICAL  PROBLEM- A SLIGHT "BALLOONING"  OF TEH ESOPH WHICH CATCHES FOOD. AND CAN CAUSE INHALATION PNEUMONIA .     THEY CAN OUTGROW IT... I THIINK TILLY HAS---
-------
DOG TRAINING... - BY PUTTING CARDBOARD BOXES ON MY SIDE OF THE BED, I HAVE... I THINK.. FINALLY TRAINED SIZ  NOT TO TAKE HER HALF OUT OF THE MIDDLE.-- NOW TO ELIMINATE TEH CIRCLE PAWING OF COVERS....  THANKS O CINDY - WHO IS TH EWORLD S FASTEST /BEST BED MAKER.. WE ARE STARTIONG AT SQUARE ONE.. COVERS  ALL ORGANIZED...
---
AS THESE PUPS GET INTO  WHAT WE CALL" BITEY FACE"  PHASE OF YOUTH DEVELOPPTGMENT...  ALL OF YOU CAMERA PEOPLE MUST... AS IN MUST..... REALIZE MOMMY DOGS HAVE RULES  FOR PUPPIES AND WE ARE JUST EMPLOYING HER TACTICS SINCE SHE IS NOT HERE...-
THE BASIC RULE IS.. TEH CHEWOR MUST NEVER MAKE TEH CHEWEE SCREAM IN PAIN...-- MOMMY DOGS DO NOT APPROVE OF A PUPPY SCREAMING AND WILL GO OVER AND PUT THE CHEWOR'S HEAD IN HER MOUTH  AND SCARE THEM INTO LETTING GO...  THIS MOUTH LIFTING PART IS VERY HARD ON MY BACK SO  WE HAVE ADAPTED A DISCIPLINE OF THE CHEWOR BY A FEW FINGERS ACROSS TH E NOSE OF THE CHEWOR CAUSING HIM TO RELEASE THE CHEWEE... ....  NOW ON CAMERA I CAN JUST HEAR IT NOW--- DISTORTED AND VIDEO'D  IT MIGHT BE SIMPLE FOR ANYONE WITH AN ULTERIOR MOTIVE TO  MISREPRESENT TEH ACTION.. AS RUDYARD. SAID.. TWISTED BY KNAVES ..... HOWEVER... THANKS TO PAM'S PUPPY LESSON.  PRINTED AT THE BOTTOM OIF THIS DD..   I AM SURE EVERYONE WILL TAKE HER WORD FOR IT WHEN SHE SAYS ... THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE...
THIS IS A "STARTLE MANEUVER "   AND IS INTENDED  TO MAKE THE PUP SIT BACK AND SAY "THAT DID NOT TURN OUT AS I EXPECTED".   SORT OF LIKE DRIVING A CAR WHILE TEXTING.  THE TICKET IS A  MINOR LESSON  THAT  IS INTENDED TO PREVENT A MAJOR LESSON.

IF YOU DON'T DISCIPLINE YOUR CHILDREN, THE WORLD WILL.  MY MOTHER USED TO SAY THAT ALL THE TIME. ( I APPARENTLY HAD A PROBLEM WITH THAT....) SHE USED TO SAY ALOT OF THINGS..... OFTEN....   VERY ANNOYING AS A TEENAGER... BUT SHE GOT SMARTER AS I GOT TO RETIREMENT AGE...  THAT  HAPPENS/-- SHE WAS A CHEMIST AT HEART-- AND COOKED WITH CHEMISTRY IN MIND...HER JELLY MAKING IN A POT ABOUT 24 INCHES IN DIAMETER WITH  1 INCH OF JELLY AT THE BOTTOM  .LOOK ODD, BUT JELLED BETTER...DUE TO SURFACE AREA ETC....
----
THE 5 GOATS ----THAT WERE NOT FEMALES---- ARE WORKIN G ON THE DOG RUNS OFF THE NUTT HOUSE... DOING A FINE JOB...  I AM NOT USED TO THOSE NOISES SO CLOSE TO. MY BEDROOM WINDOW.... THEY DO SEEM TO EAT  ANYTHING GREEN...  ( AND PROBABLY BROWN, PURPLE, CHARTRUSE AND BRIGHT YEELLOW TOO) CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF THEY DO NOT EAT  TIN CANS... BUT DARN NEAR.
IF A DOG RUNS THRU POISON IVY.. AND YOU PAR THE DOG, IS IT TRUE YOU CAN "CATCH  POISON IVY". ?  I THINK SO .. BECAUSE IT IS THE "DUST" OFF THE PLANT THAT CAUSES THE RASH... AND IF YOU WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY. YOU DON'T GET IT.  AFTRER EXTENSIVE ARGUEMENTS  WITH MY HUSBAND ABOUT OOOZING SPREADING AND EXPERIMENTAL  DISCOVERYIES.   IT WAS DETERMINED HE WAS CORRECT.. MED SCHOOL WILL SOMETIMES DO THAT...
THERE IS A FARM IN THE NEXT TOWN THAT HAS  A GOAT RENTAL HERD FOR LAND CLEARING.- I DO THINK GOATS ARE MORE ACCEPTABLE THAN SHEEP-- THEY CAN BE VERY COMICAL TO WATCH... WHERE SHEEP ARE JUST SHEEP...

I REMEMBER=== AND I THINK MAY HAVE MENTIONED BEFORE .... I HAD TO LINE UP A GROUP[ OF SHEEP  ALL IN A ROW  ON A HILLSIDE AT SUNRISE. ( OPERATIVE WORD HERE IS SUNRISE..... LASTS ABOUT 20 MINUTES AND THEN YOU WAIT TIL THE NEXT DAY FOR ANOTHER "TAKE")  - ALL I DID WAS TO DUCT TAPE THE SHEEP'S FRON T LEGS IN THERI "SLEEPING POSITION ".... I EI. DOUBLED... AND WE COULD LIFT THEM INTO POSITION VERY EASILY AND TEHY NEVER MOVED.. PERFECT !!.
ANIMAL EPISODES LIVED ON DUCT TAPE... WE DID ALOT OF CATALOGUES FOR "PET CLOTHING". MOSTLY JACKETS AND COATS....-- I CAN NOT REMEMBER ONE THAT WAS NOT CUT UP THE BACK AND DUCT TAPED TO THE DOG.   THE DESIGNERS NEVER MADE ACCOMODATION FOR A DOG'S NECK...

ONE OF OUR LAST CATALOGUES  I DID.  WAS IN A STUDIO IN NASHUA NH. WHERE THEY HAD JUST FINISHED  A COMMERCIAL FOR  THOS E 1"  CHOCOLATES WRAPPED IN TINFOIL. DARK, MILK, AND WHITE... CHOCOLATE.... THEY HAD A WHOLE CARTON OF THEM ...THEY NO LONGER NEEDED... SO WE ATE THEM...  ALL.....
NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED.
