i have a letter "to the parents of carlene--- offerning to ease my way into college----it is very official looking... so i may just follow thru --- if i remember---- they give me a choice of 2 days for my appointment and i have an appointment confirmation number... they have identified several colleges nationwide that will give me financial aid. 100%

-- OR WASHING MACHINES -- REMEMBER THE REPAIR MAN WHO TOLD ME MY BOSCH WASHER WQS RUN BY COMPUTERS NOW AND YOU COULDN'T FIX THEM WITHOUBUYING A NEW COMPUTER BOARD.. WHICH COST MORE THAN A NEW MACHINE...- WITHOUT THINKING I BOUGHT A NEW "GE" "THE WORKHORSE OF THE WASHING MACHINE TRADE"- THANK HEAVENS BUD WAS CURIOUS-- AND WITH HIS LITTLE RED BOX, HE DETERMINED THE SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED- FOR $13.50-- WHICH HE DID.. JUST IN TIME FOR TEH GE "WORKHORSE" TO GO LAME-- WITH DIFFICULTY -- OUT WITH THE GE AND IN WITH THE BOSCH AND IT'S NEW $13.50 SWITCH-- YOU GUESSED IT... IN WITH BUD AND HIS RED BOX- AND TEH SWITCH ON THE GE WAS BAD- ANOTHER $13.50 AND WE HAVE AN EXTRA GE WASHER IN TEH ICU HOUSE.
TAKING THAT MICROCOSM AS AN ILLUSTRATION OF ALOT OF THINGS-- ABOUT $2000 CHANGED HANDS UN NECESSARILY WITH - BUYING 2 MACHINES JUST BECAUSE I NEVER TOOK THE 5 SECONDS TO LEARN ONE SIMPLE FACT ABOUT THAT RED BOX THING-- HOLD TEH METAL POINTE "A" AND "B" AND IF TEH NEEDLE MOVES THERE IS A CURRENT BETWEEN THE PLACES- OR MORE IMPORTANT --- A LACK THEROF MEANS NO CURRENT FROM THE INNIE TO THE OUTIE... I DON'T NEED TO KNOW HOW OR WHY TEH LITTEL NEEDLE SWINGS TO ANYWHERER...-- JUST THAT BASIC "MOVE" AT ALL WOULD HAVE SAVED ME $2000.
SOMESHERE IN THE PAST 50 YEARS, I DID SEE THE ADVANTAGE OF THAT RED BOX "METER" THING... AND BOUGHT ONE... OR TWO .. OT THREE.. AND PROBABLY USED EACH ONCE- on electric fencing... - BUT BECASUE I DIDN'T stop to UNDERSTAND ALL THE AMPERES AND VOLTS AN Watts, i never used the thing to it's full potential... thaNKFULLY BUD KNOWS ABOUT THAT STUFF-- AND HIS BATTERED RED METER WHICH PROBABLY COST $20 30 YEARS AGO- HAS SAVED THE ECONOMY MILLIONS OF $$ SPENT ON REPLAcement WASHING MACHINES WITH BAD SWITCHES...
THERE IS A LESSON THERE SOMEWHERE... and it does not favor teh tuition expense of todays colleges...
