MARCH 10 2019

TRAINERS---  WHO IS AND WHO AINT-- I HAVE THE PERFECT TEST  -- GIVE SOMEONE A PUPPY AND SEE WHAT THAT PUP IS LIKE A YEAR LATER...-- SINCE YOU DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT...  TAKE OUR CALENDARS FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS AND SEE WHO'S DOGS ARE IN THE DIFFICULT SHOTS... I PASS BECAUSE I GOT BAILEY TO BALENCE ON THE  LIMB OF A TREE ( MY CURRENT DOGS ARE NOT NEARLY AS WELL TRAINED...SHAME ON ME)- MEGAN QUALIFIES BECAUSE OF THE NONSENSE SHE CAN GET WALTER TO DO-- LIKE StAND At the refrigerator...-- on you go with colleen's  oscar FLOATING ON THE POND--.... devin's dog at teh hAirdresser---  and by now tehre are others--- lynn... judy and a few i am sure i forgot...  but that is reality--- do i dare say .... i never saw anyone with a finely trained dog  that read teh directions   in a book or on  a cell phone...  you find trainers-- you don't train them.

CAMERA MARK DID POINT OUT THAT YEARS AGO WE  "USED" MORE GENERIC DOG WALKERS TO JUST PUT MORE MILES ON SOME DOGS TO GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO GROW MORE AND "ACHIEVE BOREDOM"  SO WE ARE DEVELOPING A BUNCH OFVOLUNTEERS TO PUT ON TH MILES- THERE AE SOME DOGS THAT HIT A BRICK WALL ON ONE TOPIC-- JUST TALKING TO HEYDAWG'S OWNER-- HE WAS ALMOST  WASHED OUT BECAUSE OF HIS AVERSION TO SLIPPERY FLOORS.- SOMETIMESW WE CAN FIND THE PERFECT OWNER WHO CAN DEAL WITH ONE WIERD QUIRK--  WE HAVE SUCH A LARGE BACK LOG OF APPLICANTS, I AM ALSO GOING TO TRY AND IDENTIFY ANY OF THE QUIRKS- THEN CAREFULLY MATCH --  WE DID IT WITH GAYLE AND HEYDAWG--- 4 YEARS LATER,  HE HAS BROADENED HER HORRISONS AND BEEN A WONDERFUL SERVICE DOG FOR HER-  YET SHE STILL HAS TO WALK VERY SLWOLY ON SLIPPERY FLOORS...  THAT IS NOT MUCH IN EXCHANGE FOR TEH SERVICE HE GIVES HER TO GET TO THAT FLOOR IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I CAN REMEMBER...... WORKING WITH A YOUNG PUP--- GETTING STUCK IN SHAWS SUPERMARKET BECAUSE OF THE ANGLED MIRRORS OVER THE MEAT COUNTER- ONE LOOK AT THAT AND HE COLLAPSED- EVERY TIME HE MOVED- THAT FOG  IN THE MIRROR MOVED AND HE COLLAPSED EVEN WORSE...-- WELL YOU CAN NOT HAVE A SERVICE DOG BEHAVING LIKE THAT..... UNLESS... YOU CAN FIND A RECIPIENT WHO IS A VEGITARIAN AND CAN STAY AWAY FROM THOSE MEAT COUNTER MIRRORS..
REMEMBER ALSO.....A DIFFERENT SHAWS... WITH BALLOONS OVER THE CHECK OUTS-- AND SOME PUP BACKING INTOT HE MAYONAAYSE DISPLAY BECAUSE OF  THE BALLOONS- AND TAKEING 45 MINUTES TO EVEN GET OUT OF THEPLACE.. IT DOES HAPPEN
YOU NEED A SENSE OF HUMOR WITH A DANE...

RUSHING--- I FORGOT IT WAS SRING AHEAD DAY...

Hi Carlene! Happy holiday season.( OLD EMAIL)  Wanted to share a story for you and not for the dd but just to share after seeing the dd today wanted to tell our tale. Harry’s vet in ma kind of retired and his practice was being run by a lot of different people. We went in on day and it was a vet who we never met. She was terrified of him and it was very obvious. He was doing as he does and just standing by the door and he was nervous but like a big baby just kinda shaking a bit. I was talking to him and she wanted to muzzle him. I said no he is fine and she insisted the tech pin him against the wall and hold his head. He was so confused and scared and we left. Never to return. Ever. She should never have been in that room with him and when you spend 100% of your time with your dog you know everything about them and I knew she was just wrong to do what she did.  He never flinched the whole time. We immediate got a new vet. She walked in the room and looked at him and got on his level and he walked over to her and she loved on him and it was perfect. She aspirated a lump he had right there in the room and he was perfect and she was not nervous and they left on perfect terms. I think it is so important that people are aware that the letters after the name mean they got a degree not that they are good at what they do or a good fit for you and your dog. I am glad you made mention of the vet in your dd .
