JULY 8 2020
since yesterday's  DAILY DOGGIE  on dog training. was so popular,,,,,...... i tried somethign.

? new people?   i am very protective of our mailing list.....  i send out this daily doggie to 2000 people and  1200 read it regularly.. it was brought ot my attention that some people buying chicken bricks did not even know it existed...  so... with difficulty,  and a few 4 letter words, i lifted the emails from the shatupon list.
i send out the normql /DD with "constant contact," a company who brags about ,,being protective... and capable of doing things with lists..  like take out duplicate emails.  in my head it was simple  -- i wanted to send teh dd  which was on training---only  to the new people.... .SO .....   for teh camera peopl who are  number "heads " out of teh 2100 bricks sold.   there were 296 unique emails... which i thought meant 15 emails that were not already getting  the dd..     i thought i was "resending"  which was suppoosed to be qll new people (15) but it  went to 296  -- so 281  recieverd it twice/  my appologies...

to all the new people- it shocks me that so many read this with all the typos and miss spellings , it has been compared to the ny times crossword  puzzle for difficulty in word identification.  sometimes clever, sometimes awful, depending on which side of the bed i get out of.
since  my bed is against the wall, you can see the problem.

to further our discussion of  training of servi9ce dogs.....
there are some maneuvers which need exquisite timing and attention.. and tehre are others thst do not.   ex....  teaching a pup to go one step at a tiome up or down stairs takes skill,,, teaching a dog to ignore traffic and air brqakes, just takes long hours of sitting to "achieve boredom"    which need to happen before you can even think of stairs.  teachindg a dog to be bored  takes long hours of sitting around -- in my case drinking coffee... is a favorite training  exercise. at which i excell....WELLLLLL...
gerogetown has a coffee shop witha stone wall of sitting height... 1/2 block from a traffic light on busy rt 97.... in additionit has a pothole right by thaqt sitting place  so all the trucks coming thru hit the hole then the brakes and the let the airbrakes hiss.. it is a cacophony of sounds.

if you hear enough sounds it does become boring... much like todays news programs.
we have an additonal problem around here of not enough men volunteers -- so occasionally a pup  willbe timid arounf men.  ..  but we do  have 2.....  grass cutter mark and uncle john ( somebody's uncle)   i must todqay equip them with a big jug of coffee and a fluffy bath mat.. and send them up rt 97    to sit there qand  entertain the passer by's ?  does that qualify them as assistant dog trainers?  welll that is what they are doing... and the pokerr chips can be their "business cards

achieving boredom cannot be done by someone in a hurry..  i think we need to make better use of specific trainers for specific chores... and sitting around aint one of  'em .

when a dog wants to get from point "A" to point "B"  the cN SEE NO REASON NOT TO GO AT A  FAST TROT... THE FACT THAT IN HARNESS THEY NEED TO GO ONE STEP AT A  TIME,  NEEDS TRAINING.    WHICH YOU CAN NOT DO UNTIL THIS STATE OF BOREDOM IOS ACHIEVED.

NOW I HAVE TO FIND MARK AND JOHN AND EXPLAIN THEIR  NEW VOLUNTEER JOB

Good morning
Rogue is doing great.  She is enjoying the corvid19 the most because we all are home all the time.  She is enjoying spending time outside rolling in the grass and either following me or my youngest around the yard.  Rogue always keeps an eye on Mary who is now 5 years old.  She has global delays and maybe be on the Autism spectrum.  It’s interesting how Rogue knows and doesn’t like anyone strange near Mary and that has been since she was a baby. Anyway life is on a flat line temporarily .  We have been home and no new adventures.  4 kids at home,  school at home and now it’s summer we are keeping safe by social distancing. John has finally returned to work.  Hope 2020 improves.  We enjoy watching the baby donkey and explorer.  Thank you for all you do.  Please continue to stay safe and healthy.
