oct 13 2015
where to start..  #6  is still hanging in there... she does not nurse as vigorously as her siblings... so we have to be sure she gets some... don't know if she is getting enough  but that is all we can sdo... she likes to sleep alot and tires quickly..  but she is still with  us.  today i wan t to weigh them all and see how all their weights are... i know they loose weight for a day or so  which is why we need to weigh them all and see if there is a norm with the others.

you all are sooooo much better than when we starte camers 3 years ago ---- 3 years ago we got calls about " there is a bird in the barn"   or "why do you allow flys around the dogs".  and i only point out these next... -- because this is a training media--  and you have to realize you can never know all the details of what is going on...
#6  was born without any muscle tone whatso ever. and i started in... for about a half hour... at which point  she was getting pinker... and would gasp on occasion-- so we knew .. not dead...and kept going-- but at 78 my bending department was complaining....i needed a break and kati took over- -the phone rang - and a person started  " i have been watching for an hour and why  are there 3 people in  with that dog." .. she did not even know we were having pups...  i guess my point is... watch for a while and learn what is happening...
then  another ... cp...who usually knows better.... called to initiate a conversation about teh "failing puppy" and what i should do...

welllll....i hung up.... she also had no way of knowing my daughter had  just fallen off  her horse "lincoln" at some hunt meet and was telling someone she did not need an ambulance ( the first sign that someone  who has just banged their head really needs one)-- the cameras don't hide everything  and  all she could see wa s that i was sitting around- looked like i was doing nothing  and she had information she was afraid i did not know...what she had not considered was  ---TIMING---that i certainly don't know everything and i ove a good arguement, but i had processed all the puppy info  i had... and decided we could go for trying to keep the pup alive--and if it turned out to have cerebal palsy we would deal with that when the time came... blessed be our fun fund....  as long as you people continue to send one or two dollqars in teh mail  and buy chicken bricks if you can... we have a little money to do things like give this pup a chance... if we stopped our "help" it would not have lived.  and kati's knees are  young.
it was my decision  to keep trying...i know now  this pup will not become a service dog--- with this background i would always worry about future  health-- like seizures... she went without much oxygen for over 2 hours...  but.. mine is not to question why... maybe  what happened to her would be medically interesting to someone  more scientifically astute than i. and the fun fund ain't broke !   and our  fun fund instructions are  " for things interesting but not necessary"  -

i had procedssed all that and was waiting to hear the outcome of my dqughter.   i had a quick phone call from her saying the horse was in one place and the trailer somewhere else.... and she  had left the scene , refusing an ambulance ride.  and was in a  car with someone who had broken her arm in the confusion. ....raising children is not for the meek at heart.

i don't know why i am writing these details-- i can't imagine they would interest  anyone else..  no intelectual  value   ....
i called my friend in the horse world-- who said " i heard the ambulances and  they haven't gone thru (past her house)  yet"   well the THEY are about 50 or so people  all dressed up on horseback galloping after 30 or so "hounds" who are following the scent, not of a fox, but of one rider who 4 hours earlier had dragged a rag soaked with annesett liquor (i am told)--- that means that.... my daughter who qualifies to ride up front of the bunch  must have fallen off in front of that galloping herd  of 50 ...so i reqlly needed to know more....and did not want to discuss the failing pup.
turns out.... lincoln  jumped sideways and stopped just in front of a "fence"  but then stood over janine as the bunch galloped by  instead of joining the rest of the horses as i would epect a normal horse to do...  she tried to get up using lincoln's noseband-- and could not stand--- a man with a dog came to try and help... and lincoln turned to face him narrowly missing janine who was still on the ground.   lincoln has to weigh 1200 pounds  .. he is big.  she bought him as a 6 month old foal.... and he does like her...but....  janine is a little unclear of  what happened next ( sign of a  head injury)  but she was in a car on her way to a hospital .  all i know  after that is  she was awaiting the results of xrays-- and another friend had come to  her rescue there at the  ER...  the horse landed in someone else's barn in ipswich and the trailer was brought to that locaion by other horsey people...
that is why i let kati take over the pup...
i will be delighted to argue the "failing pup" next week ... maybe...
i will know more about it by then too...

plus... there was some confusion about donations... there should be no confusion-- if in any way our name is connected, the money has to go thru our office.  collectin money "for us"  needs my specific  permission and accounting attention.. and the only one that has my permission agt the moment is meemsaic  chicken bricks-- on which we are dependent...  oh...and bella's shirts.   Explore has put out a new statement about asking for money  on line... prompting peopke to buy chicken bricks is allowed...
AND ENCOURAGED !!!!!!  THAT IS OUR LIFEBLOOD....
the volunteer party is  definitely on and willb e paid for by the money in the  fun fund...probably at koloon's ( per  camera mark)-- so you.. cp's   can keep adding to that...  especially by mail --- because we could use more letters at mailcall-   if it seems necessary we can keep Party money separate...  but as long as there is a fun fund... money desifgnated for that will go there.. ( it also paid for neal)    cp ginger appeared out of no where and had helpful commets about collecting funds...

apparently amid that --- kitty, megan and william took two ... if not 3 calendar shots and  am told bentley behaved with th4e mailbox-- whatever that means... also the bed got painted gold in prep for today's phptp shoot--- which will be after i go get the trailer -- and lincoln
