aw. shucks.. we are only due to have 2 inches of tuesdays blizzard...and that is questionable at 40 degrees?????? however... many thanks for those who have donated $10 a bale for this load.....the HAY must be got today and stashed... so i have alerted the hay stashing crew-- now if i can get mark to get me hooked to the correct trailer i will be all set. i now have one of those twisty choice of 3 ball sizes. the hay ( dump) trailer is 2 5/16 inches. in case you ever needed to know( horse trailer is 2 inch)
that is the education for the day. well.... bud... who worries about these things.... tells me to be aware that the trailer is not towing totally flat. that there is some "tongue weight "on the back of the car. i am sure he is totally correct... however there is a solid 400 pounds of great dane on the back axles of the car nearly every mile i drive. well... when someone finally steals this 3 twist hitch.... i should pay attention and get one that levels...
along those mechanical lines------- that fence around puppy hill was perfectly designed for puppies--- a 4 foot high fence was plenty--- however these "puppies" are now. big strong year old dogs with good hips that can jump a 4' fence if inspired... which lately. they have been... including one goat type who got on the black pipe near the fence and used that to clear the fence...the pipe was supposed to be moved.... but that will not cure the rest of the area... those 2 fields were never intended to be secure for unattended healthy adult danes...amorous danes have cleared 6 foot fencing.. not easily, but successfully.----- i have .. twice this month come home to a loose dane in the driveway...i don't know where they got out.... you have to apply the shortest link concept ... if for 100 foot of 4' fence. you replace 99 feet of 6 foot fence-- the animals will find that shorter 1 foot...making the 99 foot useless.------some numbers are absolute-- like being 1 minute late for an airplane..--- or "overdrawn". so that fence must be fixed immediately. the kennel dogs are just warming up to the fact that the fence will not old them.
other than that...... welllll continuing mechanically--- bud says the one thing about the kabuta tractor he does not like is the position of the exhaust in the front... it blows in his face..... so i suggested that rubber pipe i borrowed from the toyota dealer to stuff exhaust down the rat holes might redirect the fumes... did it work on the rats?? i dunno--- if they moved out or got "exhausted". but there are many fewer. actually i have not seen any since the onslaught.
