sept 20. 2021

i think my biggest "drafty". compliment was.... it is nice to know a place like crazy acres still exists........ where else would they play teh wedding march for a  homeless cow as she joined a pet zebu. with golden bALLS -- ON. HIS HORNS....   .....for the home of her life on a beautiful grass covered pasture ( not crazy acres..... but close ( as in nearby close) ).

REALITY IS NEVER FAR AWAY. AS THE CROWD ALL WATCHED AS WE ALL TRIED TO TURN AROUND THE BIG TRAILER IN THE MIDST OF TENTS, PEOPLE AND DOGS...

OF COURSE TEH  BIGGEST THRILL WAS TO WATCH ALL THOSE RECIPIENTS WHO ARE ON THERI fEET WALKING WITH A PERFECTLY PARTNERED, HAPPY DOG NOT ONLY LIFTING THEIR  SPIRITS. BUT OCASIONALLY THEIR ACTUAL PHYSICAL BEINGS...

I DON'T KNOW OF ANYTHING THAT WENT WRONG-- ALOT WENT DIFFERENTLY THAN EXPECTED....AND ENDED WITH 15 GALLONS OF ICE CREAM , PILES OF WHIPPED CREAM.... AND EVERYONE STILL DOING THE PAM DANCE.  -- ARMS UP---

I LIKED THE FACT THAT SCHEDULING WAS LOOSE ENOU GH TO.   ACCOMODATE. "HAPPENINGS"

YOU GOTTA BELIEVE IN GOLDIE--
WHY WOUOLD WE BE FACED WITH A HOMELESS COW. AND HAVE AN ACCOMPLISHED COWBOY HERE TO HELP HANDLE IT???
AND THEN... THERE IS EARLENE----

EARLEnE AND PAUL WERRE HEREE-- EARLENE WAS/IS. CHAOS'S PERSON... CHAOS LIKES LINDA ENOUGH. BUT HER ORIGIONAL BOND IS WITH EARLENE. SO WE WENT AND GOT CHAOS ON TEH LAWN TRAILERAND BOUGHTE HER DOWN TO THE SWING SET WHERE CHAOS  JUST ABOUT ERXPOLDED AT THE SIGHT OF HER PERSON EARLENE !!!-- SO THE REST OF THE afternooon. earlene sat in teh trailer with chaos. whil3e anyone available rolled the rig  intothe shade...   chaos was soooooo happy... itwas a perfect example of why we do not do puppy raising....-- and i got on the mic and said so.... once bonded to a person... they do not forget... chaos had not seen earlene in 2 years. -- and the reunion had everyone crying,..... with earlene facts of family life make their separation inevitable... but why anyone would make that  a part of puppy raising i do not know....

there is a point of view here to consider----i look at training from the point of view of teh dog....it is never "let me drag you here and stick you in a crate for my convenienve"... tyoe training...i certainly see it that way---- and  as i re read janine's book about second "chance"   the lame amish horse and little girl with wheels instead of legs.... she has teh perspective of the horse.

to some degree i run crazy acres from the standpoint of. the person who comes here by explore or up the driveway... for whatever reason.....  may it alwyas be a place to consider something you might not have considered before....
like what on earth is she going to do  with 9 tons of rocks in teh middle of the driveway....

i dunno... give me some time.
