How can that be ? let me count the ways .....
that is very similar to the logic problem of trying to get two missionaries PLUS two cannibals across the River with one canoe ...
the sun room.. aka linda's office --- has a nice long couch that will usually accommodate chaos and Bentley .. which then forces gymini ON TO the PADDED window ledge ... however that area has to be come A working ICU for a female recovering from being spayed .. which means that the Mail call area has to accommodate three dogs , none of which are small , but the worst problem is chaos likes to sleep in the middle of the long sofa alone .. which leaves Bentley and Gemini only one love seat and the floor .. the floor has a Barker bed mattress on it which is wonderful mattress .. the great Danes do not like to sleep on the floor .. and all of our dogs I've been spoiled about that since birth .. when as soon as they are able they climb up on a sofa which is in their puppy area .. IE the kitchen .. which is currently occupied by the two harlekin pumps from Beverly ..
even by adjusting the chaos' domination of the sofa by making her move to one end .. that still leaves sizzle ..
sizzle has talked me into allowing her on my bed .. IT IS QUEEN SIZED... BUT STILL.. SHE IS NOT SMALL... this is a whole new experience for me I've never let a dog sleep in my bed before .. SIZZLE Has inherited the instinct to stay in the middle of the bed .. which in my case LEAVES ME scrambling .. BECAUSE THAT has a terrable complication of ..."the wandering mattress . " So help me ..
I put the mattress straight on the box spring at night .. and by 2:00 AM it is hanging over the edge 18 inches by actual measurement ....18 inches sideways and 14 inches lengthwise ---ALL by actual measurement ..
I have tried to put---- Between the mattress and the box spring ... some of that material we have on the floor so chaos doesn't slip ...So the last night the overhang was 10 inches and 10 inches by actual measurement .. seeing as I barely had 20 inches of bed Because fSssel had taking her 30 inches right out of the middle IT IS A 60 inch bed .
My center of gravity being what it is, means it's not the melatonin giving me strange dreams about falling off tall buildings---- it's my precipitous mattress ..
For anybody trying to figure this out the only peculiar detail is the fact but I have a four foot long one inch diameter nice soft cotton rope hanging over my bed which I use for the purposes of rolling over particularly in the winter where things like flannel pajamas are involved .. personally I don't see how that moves the mattress ... because in the morning I get up get fizzle off the mattress it takes considerable effort to shove it back on top of the box spring is
so for all you people who had such a good time trying to explain my last geometrical The lemma of the two yardsticks ,,just you have a go at this one--- how can one person move that mattress 18 inches sideways when all I did was roll over a few times .
it might be noted that sizzle will not sleep on the edge and prefers the middle .. SIZZLE UNDERSTAND THESE THINGS BTTER THAN I DO..
SO THE 2AM Ritual is get sizzle off the bed so she go get a drink of water and go outside if she has to --- while I push the mattress back on the box Springs get myself a Cup of coffee .. and sleep for another two hours ..
so be it .
