I was watching mail call tonight and heard you mention your problems with insurance companies. My mom lived with me and my husband for over 25 years. She had taken a "life" insurance policy through her credit card (an automotive tire store,) years before she ever told me about it. When she passed away at almost 91 from a heart attack caused by a fall she had taken 6 days earlier, I eventually contacted the insurance company. They told me she had an accidental death policy. They had contacted her years earlier and she had been paying into this policy for over 20 years. To her knowledge, it was a life insurance policy. I told the insurance person on the line, that it was deemed an accident, which stated this on her death certificate. They basically said, too bad.
