I discovered your website and mission from someone on a Great Dane Facebook group. I think the work that you do is phenomenal!!
My husband has balance and mobility issues related to MS. He’s 6’3 and 195lbs and I imagine that a Great Dane service dog trained for mobility and balance would do wonders for him. I read the requirements and as we’re in California, I understand that he’s not a candidate for your program because of the distance. My question is, do you know if anyone doing this same work on the West Coast?

THIS CAMERA/DAILY DOGGIE READING CROWD IS A BIG GROUP--- IS THERE NO ONE OUT THERE WHO CAN FIND A KINDRED SOUL TO START TRAINING DANES ON THE WEST COAST-- OR MAYBE EVEN KANSAS???? WE HAD A DOG LEAVE YESTERDAY-- ANOTHER OF MEGAN++++++SDP'S MARVELS .. EVERYBODY CRYING HAPPY TEARS- DOG THRILLED TO HAVE A PERSON.. SO THRILLED THAT SHE FOLLOWS HER INTO THE SHOWER-- NOW THAT IS WHAT WE QARE LOOKING FOR.
SO WHY AREN'T THERE MORE DANE TRAINERS... I WOULD BE THRILLED TO HAVE ANYONE WHO HAS ALREADY TRAINED A WELL TRAINED DOG... COME HERE AND LEARN WHAT WE DO WITH DANES.... IT AIN'T THE SAME AS GOLDEN RETRIEVER TRAININGS.. THERE MUST BE 100 POEOPLE OUT THERE WHO HAVE DOGS WHO ARE SUPER TRAINED WHO NEVER THOUGHT OF TRAINING FOR SERVICE...

SPEAKING OF WELL TRQAINED... I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT BENTLEY AND SIZZLE YESTERDAY-- WISH I HAD A VIDEO-- JUDY AND I ... IN LOWEL AT ONE ADULT DAY CARE CENTER-- PERFECT .. BEENTHER BEFORE.. NO PROBLEM... SO WHILE IN LOWELL JUDY CONTACTED ANOTERH NEARBY... I WENT IN ALONE-- TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY OTHER DOGSS IN THE PLACE--- NO... SO I OPENED THE DOOR FOR BENTLEY, SIZZLWE AND MY
"TRANSFER CHAIR" WHICH I DOUBLES AS A CARRY ALL WHEN I AM NOT SITTING IN IT.. WE WERE IMMEDIATELY SWAMPED AND I COUOLD NOT UNDERSTAND AS WORD ANYONE WAS SAYING--- I THOUGHT I HAD GONE TOTALLY DEAF, BUT TURN S OUT IT WAS A ?NON ENGLISH SPEAKING DAY CARE. THE PERSON JUDY HAD TALKED TO ABOUT OUR VISIT WAS SOMEWHERE ELSE... I QUICKLY TOOK OFF BENT AND SIZ COLLARS BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE GRABBING TEHM..MAKING BOTH ME== AND THEM NERVOUS... BENTLEY WAS TOTALLY STABLE... SIZZLE NEEDED TO MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH ME TO HAVE ME SAY "GOOD GIRL..HANG IN THERE" -- FOR THE NEXT HOUR WE WENT AROUND THE FACILITY= NOT UNDERSTANDING WHERE WE WERR GOING-- BUT FOLOLOWING ANY2WYA.. WHILE EVERYONE WANTED A PICTURE OF THEMSELVES WITH TEH DOGS. INCLUDING LYING ON TH EFLOOR WITH THEM
BOTH BENT AND SIZ JUMPED TO ATTENTIONWHEN I SAID THE WORD "CAR" AND FLEW TO THE DOOR CLEARLY SAYING "ABOUT TIME !!"
THE EXCITED CROWD HAS TO HVE BEEN ONE OF THE WORSST I HAVE BEEN IN WITH THEM... AND TEHY SURVIVED NICELY...

He has met Mom and Little Sisters, the big high school group, the Eagles, Sunday morning motorcycle group and Rt.64, barber shop, Emmett’s girlfriend Lexi and Rhonda Vick, new deli on Rugby called Smoking Olive where he was a huge hit. We are going back there Saturday.”
