 june 11 2022

dez says she needs the deeagle house kennels-- which are ???
unavalable  because of a fence problem--- darn $%^&*()_
i have not even gone there in 2 years??  so today..... in an effort to. give lynn-w  the full picture....
i have made a mental list of what i /we.   might need to go fix the fence.
keeping in. mind it is a place i just can no longer  go.. alone....
it is a short list.   a handfull of haystring-- in blue---scissors ( so at least it is tidy hay string)
2 metal posts and the post pounder just in. case...
i have not seen why the fence will not contain lachy ..but he sees it as only a slight inconvenience
to get over /around/ or whatever he does to get out.
?hay string?  darn right--- if you walk around here, you will see pink hay string holding up alot of fencing
doing a valiant job and we have not had pink hay string on. bales of hay  for ?30 years.....

i can remember putting up the pond fence all by myself...how????  in one afternoon?????
those wood posts...10 holes dug with tractor bucket after i had a string  pulled to show  the line.
i was more slender then so the levers were easier to use..
i had. 10 bags  of concrete and the 10 posts, 100' fence, scissors and a handful of hay string.and water
dug the holes, stood each  post in the 2 or 3' hole... kicked in a few rocks,
emptied the bag of cement in the hole poured in some water.i wished it well and. -----.   filled in the. dirt, unrolled the 100' fence
it is nice to have post #1 be stamped in pretty good.  it will have to stand it's ground with some tugging to get  the fence "up" ----
good but don't get excesive about it.  tie it to a tree or something ..? the tractor?
with  1/2 cut hay string  , i lifted one end and tied it to the first post in 3 places top, mid, bottom
just wait... this story is going somewhere....
at post 3 ....5...7. lifted the fence and just  got it on it's feet with a quick  tie to the  post at the top
then back to 2 4 6 and 8-- quick tie at teh top--and straightening the post to"eyeball vertical" moving quickly because of teh. cement...

so at that point i don't know if the posts are holding up the fence .... or the fence is holding up the posts'
going back to.starting.  #2, untying it and tugging it tight--- and tying top only slightly  off center so if it happens to get tighter it will be accomodated...
checking vertical and a few foot stampings.----- to the other end...
that fence will then stay there and wait till you get around to tamping in rocks around the top  tomorrow, ---next week---  , month or. --- year/
eventually you may get it really tight----if you have help.
a simple  quick to tie  and release. ......knot
my total secret here is the quick release tye of the. hay string.. you tie and untie many times in this process
there is a second  lazy carlene fence building bit.... if you just get the bottom of the post in the right place you can move the top  as needed...
i don't think i left anything out
and teh darn fence is holding up well  ??20 years and counting???
