i must have a faulty finger.... i can swipe up on my phone 10 times before it does anytihing- and just now-- trying to check messages... it gave me how to take piano lessons...
i have not given up... but nearly... there are terribly embarising moments where bone headed stupidity, deafness and and general age create embarasing situations. but i seriously tire of standing around wiping my pointed finger over my cell--- up down bak forth -- diqagionally.. and get nothing ... then linda or judy comes along with their magic one fingers wipe and presto..it is under total control... and then they give me "THAT. " look---- just like the look the shelf stocker at the market gave me when. i asked where the condensed milk was---he had a pequiliar look on his face as he pointed to a shelf right at my shoulder.... i wanted to say "i am not always that stuipd". but i was afraid he would say "can't prove it by me"---

my only mental salvation is. there are times when i can take a totally our of control dog-- and have them behave perfectly in a matter of seconds...i have done that many times.... a verified cure.... but this phone. puts me right back in my place..... stupidity can be ubiquitous. -- i suppose likewise. brilliance is not an exclusive right of the "well educated". lord knows we have proven that enough..
why i never looked this up before , i do not know..... but......looking back in history for an example of someone with so many brilliant discoveries thay can't all be accidental..
. i googled benjamin franklin and got this...
At age 12, Benjamin took an interest in the business of printing. He assumed an apprenticeship in the printing office of his brother James. Further education came directly from Franklin's personal studies and communications with others.
bingo.. and there is a BF tech school in boston--- now for shocking comparisons.
teh benjamin franklin school. yearly cost 34450. and withaid. 13809
so how about harvard.......73800 and with aid. 15561. ( shocked me !!)
and MIT?? 73160 and with aid 18278
and kenyon college (ohio). 74550 and with aid. 28900
while good old BF himself did real well just going to work????????
is there something we are missing here?????
long before i looked up benjamin's scholastic record i believe... if you look back on my dd's somewhere i suggested a person approaching college now might better consider an apprenticeship with a master plumber... then an apprentishship with an electrician, and carpenter....auto mechanic and pharmacist
i. see kids come thru here. needing to get community service hours for high school graduation... so someoNe is noticing and maybe as shocked as i am... what these kids do not know is appalling.
perfect example-------- 90% of the high school seniors who have taken geometry that come thru crazy acres know teh 3 4 5 triangle will define a right angle. they can recite it perfectly... however... give them a bunch of string , some big nails and a rock( as a hammer). and tell then to lay our a right angle in the parking area and not one could even start... as a matter of fact one parrent was furious with me for suggesting they should be able to do that.... what on earth does "education " have to do with reality???
what we hAVE is BUNCH OF GRADS WHO CAN SPLIT ATOMS AND INFINITIVES... BUT IF THE TOILET OVERFLOWS. THEY ARE IN DEEP DODO.
SORRY TO GET ON THAT TACK------ ALL OF THAT IS OLD NEWS TO ALL OF YOU... I AM SURE.
