dogfest cometh !!!--nae man can tether time nor tide..... nor dogfest with it's multitude of details--- i just got an email asking that we be sure to have the person holding the spirit stick to introduce themselves in the spirit parade...
what ???? dogfest??? it is a weekend in september.... collection of all you people who watch teh camerras and read this fool daily doggeie... this will be our 5th or 6th year....i forget...it started and remains just a gathering of friends who have never met.. and all have a chance to meet all our animals ( and people ) in person...many of our recipients often stop by-- every year i struggle to avoid haveing any scheduled activities- so that it remails a freely wandering casual "happening". ..... with the exception of the spirit parade...
for those people who can not attend,...... but want to be here in spirit.........i ask that you send a picture of yourself( plus family or other pets) -- usually 8 x 10 ish..... we then attatch teh picture to a paint stirrer so they can be displayed on big. racks and then carries in the sunday afternoon spirit parade-- wherere each is held in front of teh puppy hill. camera while the "few words of informqtion" is read.... they are then placed in teh spirit fire. and burned--so as teh smoke wafts skyward teh spirit will remain at crazy acres.-- at which point the person carrying the stick runs for teh icecream truck...
i totally rely on people entertaining themselves. and steadily object to any organized entertainment----- unless something wierd shows up-- like the year zack ( a tree cutter)flung ropes and swung 50 feet in teh air between trees and over teh flat field.....otherwise it is just a normal day at crazy acres... normally a bit bizzarre. with ' the picking of teh poo" a speciality.
this place will open at 8am sat and sunday mornings with people cranking out coffee on our multi coffee makers....if you find an egg in the koop. you could fry it.
other than that....... i don't have a clue.... i am waiting for a goldie brainstorm...i think i just had one..... hmmmmmmmm

we do have some things to order ahead... the aforementioned ice cream... and other food... a few hotel rooms ( ask linda) parking and shuttling you should not need a car..we can pick up people from the shuttle to peabody. then to and from the hotel and farm. if you don't eat food and don't get a shirt, there is no charge to come here and enjoy the day and people. 2 days of food and a shirt is $75. ( i think.....i am only on the entertainment committee... and since i outlawed entertainment, i have not much to do)

i am trying to get on some schedule--morning feeding and evening feeding once were no problem-- now-- i need to make a speial effort...
time to feed taxi.
