whys make you wise..... or something like that....  we need more why's around here.....started a few days ago... in  the beautiful light  grey surface to the "yard" in front of the barn.....  there was a  4 foot smidge of hay and horse manure. .i.e.  brown stuff,,, messed up the image.. so i quickly raked it up and smiled st teh simple pleasure ofclean surface...-- so yesterday... brown smudge is back--- same place...and i realized.... i have seen this before and i know why in an area of 60 x 100 there would appear  a 4' smudge of horse manure... tehre is a very slight "pothole" about 6 feet to the west of teh smudge.... so when any one carries a  tractor bucket ful of manure from the  pile to the compost. the tires hit that hole and giggle it just enough to dis charge some from the 4' wide bucket..  these are the kind of things that make for flying saucers... a wierd combination of events..

welll... there is a mystery one to solve  today... or sooner....reguarding feeding on the puppy hill camera area...
for the past 10 years... every dog has run  directly to their kennel after a meal --- turned around been given a cookie-- and gone for a post meal nap.
bless teh camera people-- lynn and i can not be everywhere....  2 cp's emailed me that   there was one dog refusing to get back in her/his  kennel and the  "people" feeding were putting on a leash and leading them....

whoa.
instead of dragging around... using your muscles to control the dog.......with these dogs.......stop one minute-- or 6 days---- whatever. and ask why doesn't she want to get in the kennel?  critical thaT WE FIGURE THIS OUT.....

I REMEMBER.... here we go again.....i was training a dog... in a petsmart store-- doing fine... then headed for teh reg to leave... and i could  not get teh dog to turn toward teh registers...- i mean couldn't... much confusion of leaving thru some other exit..... angry at teh stupid dog for being so idiotic... making a fool of me-- which i am a bit used to but this was awful...i could not figure it out...perfectly willing to blame the dog. it was logical... until the next day ... in the news... there had been a fire in the cieling lights  of that pet smart... ok... who's the dummy now...??

there was another case-- where i was quicker to ask "why"---
i had a dog and a bunch of stuff in my car ?van? -- for a movie s=omewhere-- and teh dog would not lie down in teh spot i had cleared for him to lie down in the  back....luckily i mentally asked why... and found out the muffler made teh floor very warm in teh exact spot i had asked teh dog to lie down....

so why is this dog  refusing to get back in her kennel??? we.... feeders...  should have stopped, and asked anyone/everyone... mostly lynn and me.. what could be the reason and how to figure it out. if you talk to enough people and get enough ideas .... maybe......
what you must not do is assume the first  reasonable sounding story , ie the right one... or even close...

who would have guessed that some of teh manure pile would  mysteriously fly 76 feet across teh yard and and in the same spot twice because of a pot hole 6 feet away????

ask more "why's " around here....  and bud is a super "why"  guy.
do not ignore the small nut in the dirt--- it could mean teh front end of the tractor is about to fall off.
"for want of a nail the  country was lost..."   is a true concept.
--------
totally unrelatedd......
this next bit is a historical email. -- repeated for those who might be interested-- i think staci was responsible for thisw...

The Service Dog Support Benefit is a new Benefit that is being offered by one of those Private Medicare Advantage Plans in 2020.   This benefit is designed for the Medicare Beneficiary who selects this particular plan and has a Service Dog (as per the ADA definition) for a chronic illness. Upon qualification, this Medicare Advantage Plan will cover up to $500 annually to help pay for items, such as food, bedding, leashes and vests, etc.
As these Private Medicare Advantage Plans are offered by different companies not all will have the same benefits or this particular benefit.  It depends on where you live and if you select that plan.

There are many articles on the internet about each type of plan.  Medicare.gov has information as well which includes a plan finder to help one find the right plan for them.  Additionally Medicare Beneficiaries should contact a licensed sales agents that can help them pick the right plan.

This is the first time Medicare has allowed a benefit for Service Dogs and while it will not cover the dog, training or Vet bills it is a start in the right direction and following the coverage the VA has.
