getting out of bed in teh morning is enough of a challange. some people seem to enjoy increasing teh number of things that could possibly go wrong to provide excitement....
i think it was bob newhart who... on one of his telephone conversations said "you want me to strap some boards to my feet and do what??? slide down an icey hill with trees??"
he had some wonderful conversations-- " you want me to roll up a leaf and put it in my mouth then set fire to the other end????"
funny the things one remembers---in his show as that dr... he is having a rough day and stomps out of the office saying "i am sick of having to make choices.... i do not want to have to make any more decisions today" and as he stands in front of teh elevators.. 2 doors open at once. i hate to say those were teh good old days of humor. but i don't know where to go now to find such a rare one liner....... johnny carson's impromptu "i didn't know you was jewish" was the longest recorded laugh in tv history as a thrown axe hit teh mannequin in a most awkward spot...- teh simplicity of archie yelling. " edith i ain't in the kitchen" when she tells him where the toilet paper is. from archie to maude, norman lear has had no replacement..
auntie mame "exclusive of what and restricted to whom" as she offers to build a home for pregnant unwed refugee mothers in a "gated " community... has always been a favorite of mine. --- and still is.
is humor a disappearing art form? or maybe it is because i just do not understand teh lingo-- but i never hear anyone laugh at much of anything now.-- maybe a short chuckle at what naturally occurs as pequiliar. i do not know of any company willing to put up millions to develope a movie or tv show based purely on humor.. so we have news --24 hours of shootings and mayhem - maybe a 30 seconds of a good deed... where is the humor?? is the slightest diversion from politically correct too risky as to endure the negative backlash of the internet mindset. "twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools"
if you stay on the beaten path- don't make quick decisions--- monitor your every move and word.....and guard against an internet attack.....you may be politically correct - but it is a pretty dull way to go.
we are extremely fortunate around crazy acres-- to be able to just let things happen - which every once in a while produces some real laughter. --our male "milking goats" is a classic around here-- ---- even that made teh internet as a "stupid mistake" ...rather than a reallly funny honest mistake... like puppy. gussie aka gus.

Finn saves the day!
Eve really hasn’t used Finn too much for transfers. When a leg is broke it’s often elevated in her chair until she can transfer herself anyway and there is no way to safely self transfer with that support on her chair so we have to help her until then. Usually with an arm injury she can still self transfer but with the whole arm immobilized that’s not working this time and she’s too big now for me to help in a way that was working for her then …DUH!!!💡 Finn can help you with this! I wish I could have recorded the first try but it was in the bathroom. He was perfect even though it’s a skill we almost never use and when they were done he ran off all silly and jumped on his bed & rubbed his face into it the way he does when he’s all happy and playing! Such a proud boy to help his girl! He seemed so happy to help when he’s been feeling helpless during all this. 💜💜💜
