WHOA ! whatever made me think that all this uproar should upset the fact that ... sdp is still responsible for the 28 future servce dogs in its care.. \SDP is still paying the payroll and the staff ( plus volunteers thankfully) are still caring for teh dogs.... so it is time to get back on a schedule.... donna ...here we come.
i had set up a reporting system so teh trainers and i could keep a line on what was happening with each dog on a daily basis... simply anyone taking a dog ouf property for COMMUNITY training wrote on a poo picker the dogs name... where they went and 3 words about what happened with either a + if good so........traffic stairs kids+..... would mean needs work with traffic and stairs but liked kids....... a daily bunch of those 3 little words , did alot to describe what the dog was doing. it took donna all of about 10 minues a day to keypunch all 28 of them into a data file.. which was useful for all to see. ...mostly me/
why did we stop?????? it was my fault for not getting it set up long disatnce...i bet donna has a computer at home that could produse this... and it would be nice to read the daily progress report at mail call every night... the whole system shold be possible with a quick email to us every day with teh dog anme and 3 words... donna couold get the re-ort back to me by 4:30 for teh "trqiners report" at 4:45 which would also give us aq chance to discuss alot of details....maybe.
it is worth a shot; plus if/when there is an end to this madness, we will be far ahead of where we wouold be if we did nothing. plus.... it would just take a few minutes thought to send an email with the 3 words--- donna wouold already have the date and handlers name-- with dog.. so all she would need isw 3 words...
hopefully this will be operational by monday.

now as for the sunday shatting.... it will be done some other way... minus all the volunteers who put it together.... i have a few ideas so... as yet to be detrermined-- stay tuned.

i do not do facebook--- i try and answer my email questions and any at mail call that are on the explore comments - for any who do not know... if you go to our web... click on watch us... you land on one of our cameras.. and if you scroll down tehre is a comment column where there are a bunch aof people whi know alot about what is happening and can answer questions most of the time ... correctly --- HOWEVER--- once in a while there will be a new person who is convinced we are doing something all wrong.... i try ans straighten those out as best i can....
last night someone couol d not understand how we could still not know if reese was pregnant til the last minute.... so i answered......
i can see you need a better intro to good ole mommy nature,
couple things-- first false pregnancy-- 000 with milk--- is not uncommon in danes maybe dogs in general i dunno.
now as for blood tgests... i don't know of one... ceertainly never used one.... and i gave up opnn ultra sounds long ago.. because if you wait a week you know without spending money on an ultrqasound... and what difference does all that expense make???? none. we had been studying her boobs... they were incoinclusive until the past few days... i have all kinds of pictures which i would gladly dig out if i had more time-- i think we did everything we sholud have don, including bring her to megans just in case mommy decided to pull a fast on on us... welcome to the rodeo !!

A FUNNY ONE FROM LAST NIGHT MAIL CALL--- COURTNEY ( FROM EXPLORE ) JOINED OUR DISCUSSION-- MOSTLY BECAUSE IT WAS CHAOS BIRTHDAY.. CHAOS IS HER DOG LULU's MOTHER.
WE TOLD OF HOW SHE INHERITED LULU- A GOOD STORY- DENMARK ANN AND I WENT OUT TO CALIFORNIA TO MEET EVERYONE AND TAKE "ORDER" TO CHARLIE AS A NEW COMPQANION...
(ORDER WAS CHAOS PUP...SO WE HAD "ORDER OUT OF CHAOS") PERFECLY BEHAVED TRAVELED ON THE PLAN E WITHME AS SD IN TRAINING.... WE HAD A NICE VISIT-- PROBLEM WAS ORDER WAS NOT BONDING TO CHARLIE--- AS MANY OF OUR DOGS NEED MORE MALE EXPOSURE.... SO THAT WAS NOT GOING TO WORK... WE WERE AT A GROUP MID MORNING COFFEE AND ALL SET TO TAKE ORDEER BACK TO BOSTONON A FLINGHT TO LEAVE AT NOON--- ANN AND I WERE FAQCING THE DOOR WHERE THE PREARRAINGEED TAXI WAS WAITING FOR US.... WHEN THRU THE CROWD TO MY RIGHT CAME COURTNEY BREATHLESS "CAN I HAVE HER?" SO I SAID "YES" GAVE HER THE LEASH AND RAN FOR THE DOOR.-- SO MUCH FOR ANY TRANSFER TRAINING... COURTNEY HAD BEEN WITH US FOR THE 3 DAYS AND ORDER LIKED COURTNEY SO IT WAS NOT A TOTAL RANDOM SWITCH. BUT WE DID RUN FOR THE DOOR... ONLY TO FIND THAT COURTNEY HAD CALLED THE CAB COMPANY AND TOLD THEM NOT TO TAKE A DOG TO THE AIRPORT...
WE MADE THE FLIGHT... AND "ORDER" WAS RENAMED "LULU" AND IS OFEN SEEN LYING ON SOME SOFA OR ANOTHER IN HE EXPLORE OFFICE.

to have teh whole world upset is certainly notable.. but closer to home , to have the intestinal trACT OF 4 GREAT DANES GET ON A DIFFERENT SCHEDULE IS ALSO NOTABLE.
usually tehy are fed atn7am they take naps... tehn when i strat rambling , 8-9am tehy go out RUNNING with me inthe car.. and wander down to the t tent and move thir biowels. so when i go anywhere about 10 am... i know they are "empty" ---- theIR scheduole is different NOW..
I AM NOT SURE WHAT HOUSE TRAINING IS... AS OPPOSED TO TRAINING YOU TO ADJUST YOURSELF TO THEIR INTESTINAL SCHEDULE.
