oct 6  2018
sara had a bad day .. she got a soda art the supermariket and could not get it open-- it is teh small things that ARE
SOOOOOOO  ANNOYING ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING LARGER TO FUSS ABOUT.
I THINK ABOTU THAT DAILY WHEN I SIT HERE AND TYPE ON THIS FOOL MACHIN=E AND IT THINKS  OF WORDS TO CHANGE FOR ME AND DIFFERENT WAYS TO SPELL THINGS.

I THINK APPLE HAS INVESTED IN THE MANUFACTURING OF WIGS  FROM PEOPLE TEARING THEIR HAIR OUT.
THAT WHITE WIRE OVER MY HEAD HAS MANY YEARS OF DUST ON IT.  LEFT UNDISTURBED IT CAN PILE UP TEH DUST VERY HIGH--- ONE SHAKE AND YOU NEED TO GET THE SNOW BLOWER IN HERE.
*****
SOME DAY...... I WILL TURN ON THAT COMPUTER THAT IS AT THE OTHER END OF THE WHIGTE WIRE OVERMY HEAD-- IT IS AN OLD IBM THAT I PROGRAMMED FOR TEH WANT AD MAGAZINE-- AMAZING MACHINE HAS ONLY BLACK AND WHITE SCREEN  AND  IT NEVER ONCE OFFERED TO TELL ME THE WEATHER IN MOSCOW OR THE SIZE SHOE THE AVERAGE PERSON IN OMAHA WEARS.  WTH THAT I SUPPORTED MYSELF FOR YEARS-- NOW WITH ALL THESE IMPROBVMENTS  I CAN BE DRIVEN NUTS DAILY. (

THE WANT AD MAGAZING WAS A WEEKLY  PRINTED VERSION OF EBAY...  REMEMBER THE DAYS BEFORE EBAY????  PEOPLE WOULD LINE UP AT STORES TO GET THE WANTAD EARLY AND GET  HTE BARGAINS. WHAT IS NOW THE LAUNDRY BUILDING, WAS ONCE THE "MAGAZINE SHED"  - A MONSTER  TRUCK WOUDL DELIVER THOUSANDS--  FUNNY I CAN NOT REMEMBER TEH NUMBER- BUT THE LUMP WAS ABOUT THE SIZE OF 3 BIG CARS-- MY FIRST  DELIVERY FROM THEM WAS ONE CARTON IN THE BACK OF A VW BUG.  THEY THOUGHT I WAS A MARKETING GENIUS, WHEN IN FACT WHEN I STARTED  DELIVERING WANT ADS....THE NORTH SH ORE OF BOSTON HAD JUST DISCOVERED CONDOS AHD THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE MOVED INTO 100 SQUARE FEET-  AND SUDDENLY THERE AS AN UNEXPECTED  CROWD TO  BUYING CIGARETTES AT THE LOCAL VARIETY STORE- WHERE I HAD WANTS ADS RIGHT THERE ON THE COUNTER..
***
I DON'T THINK I HAVE TOLD THIS  "REST OF THE STORY"  LATELY...-- CRAZY ACRES WAS TEH DISTRIBUTION CENTERS  AND I ENDED UP WITH A DOZEN OR SO  "DELIVERY" PEOPLE WHO DELIVERED MAGAZINES ONE DAY A WEEK- AND AS LONG AS THEY WERE HEALTHY AND THEIR CARS RAN, I DIDN'T HAVE MUCH TO DO...  BUT IN A BLIZZARD IF THEY DIDN'T SHOW, I WAS OUT THERE.
ONE DAY IN LOWELL, I WAS IN A SMALL STORE WAITING TO BE PAID FOR THE BOOKS SOLD WHILE THE GUY WAITED ON A BUNCH OF KIDS WHO HAD NO SCHOOL BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER...-- THEY PICKED CANDY FROM THE CASE WITH GREAT CARE-- SO WHEN THE GUY STARTED TO PAY ME, I SAID "GEE YOU ARE AWFULLY NICE TO THESE KIDS"--- AND HE REPLIED--- "WHY SHOULDN'T I BE.... MAYBE HALF OF THEM ARE MINE"

WITH GREAT RELUCTANCE WE HAVE FOUND A HOME FOR OAKLY-- BOTH MEGAN AND I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP  HIM.. ESXCEPT WALTER AND BENTELY HAD WORDS TO SAY ABOUT HTAT.. BUT-- GOLDIE WAS AT TI AGAIN... MEGAN CAME UP WIOTH A GREAT OWNER WHO LIVES PART TIME IN ROCKPORT AND PART TIME IN CONN. TURNS OUT SHE LIVES ABOTU 5 MINUTES FROM ECAD--- EAST COAST ASSISTANCE DOGS-- LU PICARD-- THAT FRIEND WHO GOT ME INVOLVED IN ADI IN TEH FIRST PLACE-- NOW WITH ONE OF POSSIBLY OUR BETTER STUD DOGS RIGHT DOWN THE STREET, I WOULD THINK I MIGHT PURSUIADE LU TO TRY A CROSS BETWEEN HER GOLDENS AND OUR DANE. OAKLY IS ONE LOVELY DOG...MAYBE 32 " NOT SUPER TALL.. BUT SQUARE AND SOLID...
HERE'S HOPES...

SEAGRAM CONTINUES TO LIVE UP TO HER NICKNAME ‘SUPER SEAGRAM.’ USUALLY I WRITE TO UPDATE YOU ABOUT HOW WE ENJOY LIFE TOGETHER WHILE ON NEW ADVENTURES (THE GOOD TIMES), BUT NOW I WANT TO SHARE HOW SHE SUPPORTS ME IN WALKING — AND SO MUCH MORE — IN THE BAD TIMES...

LAST WEEK I FELL. PLEASE DON’T FAULT SEAGRAM, SINCE SHE CAN’T ALWAYS ‘SAVE ME FROM MYSELF,’ SO TO SPEAK. I HAD SIMPLY WANTED TO CUT A FEW FLOWERS BEFORE AN APPROACHING RAINSTORM, SO SEAGRAM HELPED ME INTO PLACE. I LEANED OVER A SHORT FENCE WITH SCISSORS IN ONE HAND, AND THE DAHLIA SELECTED TO BE SNIPPED IN THE OTHER. I THOUGHT THAT I WOULD BE SAFE BY LEANING UP AGAINST THE FENCE, BUT SOMEHOW I FELL. I LANDED ON MY HAND, WHICH HURT, BUT THE PAIN AT THE BACK OF MY LEG WAS MUCH WORSE. IT WAS SCARY BECAUSE I WAS OTHERWISE ALONE AND COULD NOT GET UP RIGHT AWAY. SEAGRAM STAYED CALM & CLOSE UNTIL I SORTED OUT HOW TO RIGHT MYSELF DESPITE MY INJURIES, THEN SHE HELPED ME UP. I WAS SO GRATEFUL FOR HER COMFORTING MANNER & SKILLS!!

IT QUICKLY BECAME OBVIOUS THAT THIS WAS NOT A FALL IN WHICH I COULD SIMPLY ‘DUST MYSELF OFF’ AND WALK ON, SO THIS WEEK MY HUSBAND BROUGHT US BACK TO NYC FOR EVALUATION. THIS WAS NECESSARY BECAUSE OF THE HAND PAIN & ALSO, THE LEG INJURY IS SIMILAR TO WHEN I HAD TORN MY HAMSTRING SEVERAL YEARS AGO (IT TOOK 6 MONTHS IN A KNEE IMMOBILIZER FOR THAT TO HEAL.)

IT WAS FUN TO SEE THE SMILES THAT SEAGRAM BROUGHT TO SO MANY PEOPLE AS WE PASSED BY. WE STOPPED TO CHAT WITH SOME AS TIME ALLOWED. WE HEARD THE USUAL COMMENTS: “BIG,” and “BEAUTIFUL,” and “YOU COULD RIDE HER,” BUT IT WAS WONDERFUL TO TALK WITH 2 WOMEN ON 2 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. BOTH THANKED US AT THE END, EACH SAYING THAT SHE WAS SO GRATEFUL TO SEE SEAGRAM AFTER A DIFFICULT DAY. “THIS WAS JUST WHAT I NEEDED!!” SAID THE SECOND WOMAN, BEAMING AT SEAGRAM, AS WE WAITED TO HAVE MY BLOODWORK DONE. AND I AM HAPPY TO SHARE THE JOY THAT SEAGRAM BRINGS TO ME, EVEN IF IN SMALL WAYS (eg, no petting allowed while she is working in the city, but I do tell people that they are “welcome to admire her from afar”). WE GAVE SEAGRAM’S BUSINESS
CARD TO EACH WOMAN (AND MANY OTHER PEOPLE), SO YOU SHOULD HAVE SOME NEW CPS.

MY FAVORITE PART OF THE WEEK WAS WHEN WE RETURNED HOME LATE LAST NIGHT. SEAGRAM HOPPED OUT OF THE CAR AND DOVE INTO THE GRASS, GLEEFULLY ROLLING AROUND. THEN SHE TOOK OFF FOR SOME ZOOMIES. NEXT SHE BAITED MY HUSBAND INTO PLAYING WITH HER AND THIS WAS THE PERFECT BIT OF STRESS RELIEF FOR ALL OF US!! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH HER CELEBRATE HER RETURN HOME THAT I LITERALLY DID LAUGH ALOUD.

. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!
