SDP is an army that moves on it's belly.. ( somebody like general eisenhower had that concept) it certainly is true of this bunch.
what a spread-- for the second day !! last night was a full dinner delivered by a wonderful "function restaurant" spinnelli's- how to thank the same two cp's cooked up tis one too.. hawaii and california-- those 2 people out west really know how to throw a party - even if it is long distance !!!
i even have some wonderful eggplant parm for breakfast..
and... i am told great things are planned for the rest of today-- the balloons are to be moved to the arena -- we used to have balloon day practice with the younger dogs on the flat field--- today i am told it will be in the arena--- organization starting about 11 and followed by the puppy's birthday party. i know none of the details-- i don't even know who planned it... but parties always sound likd a good idea..
the woman who put on the ben and jerry icecream party said b&j's have a bumper sticker that says if it isn't fun, don't do it.
i don't know how that relates to paying taxes, but i sure like some of the things i get for my taxes.. like drinking water-- fire department- stuff like that.
(i am still amazed that for less than 1/2 dollar, a few bits of my paper has the full protection of the entire us army which guarentees 99.74% it will arrive unscathed some 3500 miles away- and for a few extra pennies you can track exactly where it is.)
so back to the party bunch--- i will be fascinated to see how many people enjoy the nonsense also....
bringing us back to numbers-- that new chicken board is terriffic---i am sooooo pleased to have that show of "involvement"--.... because what that means exactly today is i must work hard on all this lawyer stuff to do the best i can for all the people who send in their $10 to perpetuate the concept of crazy acres as it now operates today.
on the other side of the table are the 5 year plan types with yellow pads of paper and their #2 pencils-- who are so deadly serious about large words and paper things.
my challange is... which one of these accountant types would have ever been able to dream up what is now fact . we are cranking out wonderful service dogs for people who need them-- educating and entertaining with 12 million hits on the explore cameras- and having a wonderful time doing it.
who knew???

i tell you another thing i am learning -- it is very helpful around here to have a couple cp's in working mode camped out on the property somewhere... that extra set of hands has been wonderful this week with susan and husband- i honestly don't know where they are living-- ?guest house or training room?.. wherever-- they are in work mode...other than the odd cup of coffee with them ---they have stayed busy and wandered around carrying ,sorting , patting , folding, holding,and picking up. this has been very helpful...
signing up for a working holiday here is pam's department--- but be sure you understand ... we work 7 to 7 with only a slight forgiveness for adjusting to a different time zone.
