FIRST REPORT BUD WAS THE PERFECT DRIVER-- WE DIDN'T HIT ANYTHING, WE GOT THERE, AND I WAS SO RELAXED I ALMOST SLEPT WHILE HE DROVE.. HE INHERITED THE PROJECT OF TRYING TO GET BENTLEY TO PEE--( BENTLEY WOULD HAVE NO PART OF THAT AND DIDN'T TIL 12 HOURS LATER AT HOME)
THE AWARD CEREMONY WENT FINE--- I DID MAKE IT THRU IN 18 MINUTES- THE EXCITING PART WAS, THERE WERE FRUIT FLYS--- EVER TRIED TO THINK WHILE BEING BOMBARDED WITH A FEW FRUIT FLYS??? IT REMINDED ME OF THE SCENE IN ? FATE IS THE HUNTER? WHEREE THE PILOT IS LEARNING TO FLY AND HIS INSTRUCTOR STARTE D LIGHTING MATCHES RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS NOSE TO SEE IF HE CAN STILL CONCENTRATE.. I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS ME--- WITH SOME HAIR SPRAY I DON'T USUALLY USE.. BUT WHEN THE SECOND PERSON GOT UP SHE COULDN'T STAND AT THE PODUIM AND STEPPED ASIDE.
BENTLEY BEHAVED VERY WELL...WORKING THE CROWD A BIT...
MORE THAN ONE VETERNARIAN THERE COMMENTED ON WHAT A GREAT DANE SPECIMIN BENTLEY WAS--- AND HOW FIT...
BUD AND I DECIDED WE REALLY OUGHT TO REDESIGN THE TRAFFIC ONTO AND OFF THE CAPE-- IT NEEDS SOME ATTENTION.. WE SAT FOR A GOOD HOUR IN ROLLING TRAFFIC AT THE BRIDGE--- TURNS OUT--- ALL THAT FRIDAY OUTBOUND TRAFFIC HAD TO SQUEEZE INTO ONE LANE TO GET OVER THE BRIDGE--- WHILE THE INCOMING TRAFFIC- MUCH LIGHTER ON FRIDAY --HAD 2 LANES ALL TO THEMSELVES..
IT IS AN ORANGE BARREL SELLERS DREAM TO ADJUST THAT FOR THE DAY OF THE WEEK...
AND THEN WE THOUGHT MAYBE MAKE ONE OF THOSE BRIDGES ( THERE'S TWO) OVER THE CANAL BE ONE WAY OUTBOUND ON THRUSDAY THRU SAT AND INBOUND SUNDAY MON TUESDAY
AND BLESS THE GPS-- WE NEVER WOULD HAVE GOT HOME WITHOUT IT.
BACK TO WORK....
