SEPT 30,2014
so ..... yesterday i got an email from a camera person ..
i would like a list of all the pups and what became of them......
why do you give so many fabulous failures to volunteers and friends..
maybe if you tried harder you would be successful.
i did bite my tongue--- but maybe there are some things i need to explain better..
firstly the list of pups and serv dogs is out there already on julie's family trees-- i love it when someone orders me to do some time consuming chore which has already been done
as to who gets what dog...

i have placed many dogs as potential keepers waiting to see how they develope for possible breeding stock.. if i don't like what i see- they get neutered and kept as pets... think success-- bumpy... failure peter...

some i don't like what i see structurally-- not often-- but sometimes-- think perry cole---lovely dog-- paces big time...

some volunteers might need one of our dogs for themselves, and would not be thrilled to have all the details plastered all over the world..

some need special care- or get wounded--- tess with sandy -- heckle with the wierd neck...williams

some i keep myself to breed -- success bentley -- failure opal

or retire luna, chaos bobby unless someone can give them a special home.

and then there was the litter of all blacks-- no markings-- it was really before teh chicken brick program was helping with teh costs, and we just gave them to voluneteers etc -- we could not tell them apart... we did keep fido who was too big and made a serv dog out of spot.

too many litters of 11 pups in a row could push our capabilities

and there are people i owe dogs to  - lu of ecad

generally if we use your female you get a pup to go home with you----- scarlott/betsy-

am sure there are another 1/2 dozen reasons... fact still remains we have a much higher success rate than any other i have heard of...
boils down to---
 IT AINT THAT SIMPLE.

Hi Carlene,

Today was the first day Wendy and I went to and from school on the bus. She
didn't want to get on the bus, but when I started to climb the stairs she
followed me and then sat in her seat. She sits in the seat ahead of me because
there is not enough room for both of us in one seat. ;) I get off the bus first
until the last step and she helps me down. At CARE time today (assembly that
happens every morning about 10 mins long) another student had a meltdown right
next me and Wendy stayed down, not really noticing it at all. Everyone was
impressed! Recess is getting better every time, but Dad is still coming in to
help if we need it. Wendy thinks that Dad is always picking us up after school,
since he has always been there to get us or put us on the bus. So to make sure
she knew to get on the bus without Dad there, my sister Madi met us outside and
got on the bus first then we followed. This is the first time we did it and it
worked well! She is doing better on the bus, but it's still new.

Thank you again for Wendy! I am much stronger...my PT and parents can even see
little muscles in my legs when I walk. Hopefully the doctors will see a big
difference in a couple of weeks! Talk to you soon!

Love, Hunter & Wendy

PS it is a lot easier for my mom and dad too!
