SEPT 15 2014
BY THE WAY--- THE PILL I TOOK  YESTERDAY WAS AN ASPRIN-- I DON'TTHINK THEY MAKE A PILL TO STOP MY IMAGINATION FROM RUNNING WILD.

********
biggest news is that the lIst of chicken BRICKERS IS GROWING....      BEFORE AND DURIN G  DOG FEST THERE WERE 3  OR 4 AQ DAY BUYING...  THEN...THE DAY AFTER
9/8  THERE WERE 18 BRICK BUYERS
9/9    ... 34
9/10  ... 50  THEN   22   14   AND  6  ON 9/14

WOW ---  WHATEVER ANYONE SAID TO ANYONE ON THE 10TH   DO IT AGAIN....  I DO LOOK THRU THESE DAILY  AND AM DELIGHTED TO SEE MANY NEW NAMES....  THAT I AM SURE I HAVE NOT SEEN BEFORE...
NOT THAT I REMEMBER ALL, BUT I DO RECOGNIZE MANY.

THE FREEZER IS NEARLY LIVE... BLESS THE CRANNEY COMPANY..
ASIDE FROM THE FACT THAT  SHEILA'S  LAST NAME IS CRANNEY,..... THEY DO A HECK OF A JOB... I THINK THEY CALL THEMSELVES  A HOME REPAIR COMPANY--- AND SEEM TO HAVE A COLLECTION OF PEOPLE WHO INSTALL AND FIX THINGS...... AND WE HAVE ALL KINDS OF THINGS TO FIX-- SEVERAL OF THEIR GUYS COMMUTE PAST OUR FARM AND HAVE BEEN KNOW TO STOP IN AND BE HELPFUL PROBONO.
BEFORE I KNEW SHELIA, I CONTACTED CRANNEY CO BECAUSE I SAW THEY DONATED ALOT OF MONEY  EACH MONTH TO A  VARIETY OF LOCAL CHARITIES Y-- AND I WANTED TO GET ON THAT LIST OF CHARITIES...
*****
AND THEN THERE IS HER  HUSBAND  BRIAN-- WITH WHOM I HAVE HAD EXTENSIVE DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE FACT THAT OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM DOES NOT PREPARE ENOUGH LOGIC ORIENTED REPAIR PEOPLE..  HE SAID THAT HAS BEEN A TOPIC OF CONVERSATION AT  CONVENTIONS HE GOES TO. IT IS APPARENTLY A NATIONAL DILEMMA...

I HAVE QUESTIONED  A COLLEGE  VS APPRENTICESHIP  SYSTEM. COLLEGE DOES NOT SEEM A WISE INVESTMENT  IN  TIME OR MONEY--- I SWEAR THE ONLY THING I LEARNED AT COLBY  WAS WHAT A DEADLINE WAS.  BESIDES THAT IT WAS A VERY PAINFUL EXPERIENCE.... WITH THE 500 WORD SPELLING TEST I WAS SUPPOSED TO PASS BEFORE I GRADUATED...  MY PARENTS WERE A WRECK- I WAS STILL TAKING IT AS A SENIOR-  THE ONLY ONE...
AND NOW THAT YOU SEE MY SPELLING ABILITIES DO YOU THINK I ACTUALLY PASSED IT -- OR THEY JUST THREW ME OUT TO GET RID OF THE PROBLEM.????

PLUS...... I HAVE LONG RECOMMENDED THAT TED.COM  LECTURE OF KEN ROBERTSON ABOUT CREATIVITY IN OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM.
BESIDES HE IS A PRETTY FUNNY GUY...
ON  WOMEN MULTI TASKING-- HE SAYS
"WHEN MY WIFE IS COOKING, SHE IS SWEEPING THE FLOOR, PAINTING THE CIELING   AND DOING BRAIN SURGURY.  WHEN I AM COOKING , I WANT  EVERYONE OUT, THE DOOR SHUT- CANT YOU SEE I AM TRYING TO FRY AN EGG IN HERE?"

SOMEHOW  THAT SEEMS ABOUT RIGHT.... I KNOW I HEARD MY HUSBAND SAY......" YOU GET ME A LADDER AND THE LIGHT BULB AND I WOULD BE HAPPY TO CHANGE IT."

THUS ENDITH MY MUSINGS FOR THE DAY
THANK HEAVENS FOR CUT AND PASTE...

i had to include this because  i can not imagine living with a boa constrictor who ate the barn owl.... i would never sleep !!!
The other day in the Doggie Daily, you talked about your training style vs. others that include caging.  I wouldn't like being caged either.  I agree totally with the concept of allowing the animal freedom, letting them learn "work" and "play".  We used to live in an apartment that was a Registered Game Farm.  My partner was a science teacher and between the kids and local vet, we became the wild animal rescue for the county.  They usually had an injury and were reintroduced to the wild successfully  With the exception of snakes, all the animals were loose.  (Weird, I know)  But,  we rarely had more than 7-8 animals at a time. They all acclimated to apartment living, would allow us to handle them and all got along.  My dachshund, Hoover, played with the opossum every night and kept us awake. (We saw for years after in the wild where she was reintroduced.)  The owls and the hawks got along and watched TV with us.  We only had one incident of nature taking it's course.  The 6 foot boa constrictor escaped its cage and ate the barn owl.  And, surprisingly, they also seemed to understand where to relieve themselves, except the birds.  Newspaper where they sat, did the trick.  Don't we all do better if we are allowed freedom? You go, girl.

GOOD MORNING CARLENE,

I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH ALL OF YOU AN EXPERIENCE (OR MAYBE A TEST) I HAD WITH IVY SATURDAY MORNING.  MY GROOMER OFFERED TO GO IN EARLY TO GIVE IVY A BATH, A FACIAL AND NAILS.  OUR GROOMER DOES A LOT OF LITTLE TINY POCKETBOOK DOGS.

WELL, IVY HAD HER BATH, FACIAL AND NAILS DONE AND THEN ALL OF THE LITTLE DOGS STARTED TO COME IN.  I WAS A LITTLE NERVOUS AT FIRST AS TO HOW SHE WOULD REACT.  THE FIRST COUPLE SHE BARKED AT.  THEN I TOLD HER TO LEAVE IT AND SHE LAID DOWN AND EVENTUALLY ACHIEVED BOREDOM.  AFTER ABOUT 10 LITTLE TINY DOGS COMING IN SHE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE THEM A SECOND LOOK.

I WAS REALLY APPREHENSIVE AT FIRST, AND THEN I THOUGHT, SHE WAS TRAINED BY EXCELLENT TRAINERS AT SDP, AND FROM THAT MOMENT ON, I HAD NO REGRETS OF BRINGING HER IN.

SHE LOOKS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND HER COAT IS SO SILKY SMOOTH AND SHINY. MY GROOMER, SHAUNA, WANTED TO PAINT HER NAILS BUT IVY WAS HAVING NONE OF THAT.  MAYBE NEXT TIME WHEN SHE GOES IN SHE WILL GET HER NAILS DONE IN CRAZY ACRES PURPLE.

HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL SOON.  WE WOULD LOVE TO COME AND VOLUNTEER FOR A FEW DAYS.
