White bathrobes------people often ask me how I get these ideas to write a daily doggy daily I just look around me as I did today and saw my white bathrobe and realized I have two white bathrobe stories---- one educational and one pretty damn funny. so to proceed with the funny one.....   I had a call as animal episodes for fish over a foot long and alive.. or at least wiggling somehow... so I called my friend I forgot what his name was but he ran  a store called  "curious creatures"   in Beverly it was pretty knowledgeable about strange things like fish and so he got me rigged up with a tank in the back of the truck and oxygenation and all that sort of thing and then he got me a couple fish apparently out of a Chinese restaurant. which is where he got  live fish... so I went to the location which was in Harold Parker state forest in North Reading beside a lake where there was a sizable crowd most notably MIT students----- where they had--- among other things ---a wooden pallet... the object was to have a person weighing exactly  200 pounds stand on that wooden pallet and have it stay slightly submerged while the person was photographed holding a fish//. With all possible religious connections.

when I got there there were several soaking wet people but progress was being made with all sorts of things like Styrofoam and things like that so they finally got to the point where this palette would stay just right on the surface of the water with a person  in a white bathrobe stood  on it------ and my part in the project was too get out to this pallet in the lake with my fish and hand the fish to the guy standing on the pallet while keeping the fish alive.  I started in a very leaky rowboat but that just was too cumbersome and since the lake wasn't very deep like 4 feet. I just got in the water with my crate of fish plan was to hand of the fish and duck down in the water and take the picture.

which I did... however all this very scientific calculation had not calculated the weight of the fish (. or as it turns out the wet bottomed  bathrobe too) so somewhere there exists a film of a guy standing on a pallet in the middle of a lake absolutely terrified as he slowly sinks up to his knees  while trying to  balance teh pallet and hold on to a fish  .  you have to hand it to professional actors..  he wouldnt let go of the fish --- they keep their eye on the goal with minimum fuss- take the picture !

Luckily in their great wisdom "production"  had an ample supply of dry  bathrobes.
