DEC 11 2018

ONE OF THE FUNNIER FEW MOMENTS OF MY LIFE WAS THE TIME I WAS VISITED BY 2  MATRIARCHS OF  TWO OF THE OLD MASSACHUSETTS   FAMILIES- ALLOW ME TO CALL THEM MRS A AND MRS W- BOTH  PRESIDED OVER  WHAT ARE RUMORED TO BE 2 OF TEH OLDEST FARMS IN CONTINUOUS  USE BY ONE FAMILY... OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT...  THE PART THAT ALWAYS IMPRESSES ME IS  I HAVE MEASURED EACH FARM AT OVER ONE MILE ON 2 SIDES-- THIS IN AN AREA WHERE A TRUCKLOAD OF DIRT CAN BE PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE...
I HAVE ALWAYS HOPED TO BECOME AT LEAST PART OF  WHAT  MRS W COULD ACCOMPLISH-- THAT WAS TO BE CARRYING HER OWN 5 GALLON WATER BUCKETS  FOR HER PONIES  AS SHE APPROACHED 90 YEARS OLD. - I AM WORKING ON IT....

AT ANY RATE THESE 2 OCTOGENARIANS  ARRIVED IN MY DRIVEWAY ONE DAY WITH A PROBLEM... IT WAS DURING MY PHASE AS ANIMAL EPISODES- AND I DID HAVE VERY MANY (150 BY ACTUAL COUNT) ANIMALS HERE-- I DID HAVE A VERY SMALL COLLECTION OF BELGIAN HARES FROM A COMMERCIAL THAT NEEDED A WILD RABBIT-- AND THOSE hares  ARE THE CLOSEST I COULD GET.-- I HAD BOUGHT4 OF THEM AS YOUNG RABBITS- WITH LITTle  Regard for   their sexuality - as that part was not to be in the photograph...
NOW  MRS A HAd a female hare and wanted to have a litter- hearing i had some( they are not easy to find)  she and her friend, mrs w ,  drove  to crazy acres-- where for  the next half hour  we 3 stood in the yard turning  over one bunny after another trying to figure out which one might have the necessary equipment to father a litter for mrs a.
it was one of those moments that was 100% real and could never be duplicated-

i think of mrs w  every once in a while...  there was a day when i-- at 60 offered to help her by carrying the heavy 5 gallon bucket, and she  quite definitely said--  " i will do it myself, thank you"
*****
speaking of rabbits-- i do watch CHANNEL   fios 132 which seems to bee veterinarian stories- and  there was a story last night aBOUT A RABBIT IN BAD TROUBLE BECAUSE  OF NOT DRINKING ENOUGH WATER- SO WHEN SLIGHTLY DEHYDRATED HER GUT BECAME "STATIC"? SO THE VET HOSPITAL GAVE IT IV'S ETC WHILE THE VET DESCRIBED THAT DEHYDRATION  CAN CAUSE EXCEEDINGLY LARGE PROBLEMS QUICKLY IN AN ANIMAL WHICH LIVES ON VEGATATION...
I WONDERED IF I SHOULD PASS THAT ON TO THE VEGATARIANS IN THE CROWD.... I DO TRY AND BE HELPFUL...
----
I FINALLY MADE A PATTERN FOR TEH STALL DOORS... LIFE SIZE -- WITH STRAPPING ( NARROW WOOD) I JUST COULD NOT DO IT GEOMETRICALLY  ON PAPER -- TEH DOORS ARE 47.75  X 51  AND IF I MADE A 51 INCH TRIANGLE WOULD THE SPACE BETWEEN THE DOORS ACCOMODATE THE HIPS OF ONE OF OUR BROADER DOGS... LIKE CHAOS???-- BETWEEN MAKING IT EASY TO BUILD AND STURDY, CHAOS WILL HAVE TO SKRINCH DOWN  A BIT TO GET IN...-- I DRAW MY STATS FROM----- WE HAVE ONE DOGGIE DOOR WHICH IS 12.5" WIDE BECAUSE OF TEH LOCATION  OF A PEOPLE DOOR - ALL TEH REST ARE  THE USUAL 14.5"  WIDE--(16" ON CENTER) AND I KNOW SHE HAS TROUBLE SQUEEZING THRU- BUT SHE GETS THERE... AND I THINK SHE IS OUR BROADEST--( LINDA WILL NOT LIKE THAT )

I ALSO KNOW THAT  IF I PUT SOME  BOILED CHICKEN ON THE FAR SIDE, SHE WILL MANAGE...
****
PAM HAS JUST DONE THE 2ND  OVERNIGHT IN A ROW  --  WE DO NEED MORE PEOPLE WHO CAN DO AN OVERNIGHT-- PARTICULARLY SUNDAY NIGHT...   SHE GETS SOME SLEEP-- BUT NOT NEARLY ENOUGH.
****
WONDERING IF  WE HAVE A PREGO DOG... AND DONKEY.. I DID NOT HEAR ABOUT BUTTERSCHOCH'S BLOODWORK...... I WILL CALL TODAY.. THO IT SOUUNDS LIKE IF THE TEST WAS POSITIVE, I WOULD BE MORE LIKELY TO HEAR.

I WILL TRY VERY HARD TO PUSH TEH RIGHT BUTTONS TODAY AND GET THIS OUT,
