regarding ..... armpit  sniffing.----------wandering around... i found....
Les was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 45. Twelve years prior, his wife Joy, a retired nurse, sensed something was wrong. Her husband’s smell had changed, especially around his neck and shoulders. After Les’ diagnosis, Joy smelled the same scent at a Parkinson’s support group, and she linked the two. The night before Les died, he made her promise to investigate the smell, saying: “You must do this because it will make a difference.” Now, British researchers are using Les’s legacy – and Joy’s smell smarts – to develop a simple swab test on the skin oils linked to the smell. Since there is no early test for Parkinson’s, this test could help improve early detectionMORE

ok... now i have a dog.... larkey.. who identifies some smell in the armpits  of about one person in 100.  he is not just  vaguely interested... it is like catnip.----i think i have told you all before-- so now i have written this to the "all of us" medical study group  to which  i am a part. there are only  2 armpit cases...i remember from our wanderings of the adult care centers...... but i know there was someone here in the house he was interested in lately-----i would love to know who that was...

speaking of larkey- i had a very nasty note about how awful he is treated/neglected  by me  over jiminey-- and how i don't spend enough time  training with larkey because i favor jiminey.  i get one of these notes every once in a while-- and they are always full of "i can no longer watch sdp"... well... i am sorry you can't --- and i am sorry if raising my voice at larkey upsets you....  but that clown has started getting up on the table right next to the front door so he can stuff his face in anyone coming in the door... i do have to stop that before someone has a heart attack with  his 170 pound friendly face.  he gets right down when i "speak loudly" to him... as for his generic training... he is perfectly trained for what we need him to do...sit-- heel--fetch-- are not in his vocabuary--- but if in an emergency i yell " DOGS... get in the car" all 3 stop what they are doing and run for the car door. - he whoas and backs, and don't touch it,and a dozen other things-
he is a character-- and i let him develop some strange things-- like armpit sniffing...  i would never speak loudly to him about that...sizzle and jiminey behave differently-- and i let them do
their thing too... i do not know why some people think all dogs have to be identical... mine aren't.
