will i ever run out of ridicoulous first hand " animal episodes?.... not yet at any rate ... fish--- i did hear that word..on the overnight tv..... and remembered..
there was a run ?1980's on doing ads about fish-- a couple were as in the bible version --
sorry if this gets sacrilegious, but remember i was only on the fish end of this story
i had a call for a large fish to be handed out of a lake--
to a guy in a white bathrobe who was standing on a submerged floatation device...so it looked like he was walking on water.
now even withthe fact that the fish was not a live fish, the film company called me ( as animal episodes) because
i had a sterling reputation of at least showing up on time with teh correct animal. and then as withso many animal jobs
you figure it out after the director changes their minds 4 times.
now MIT had got invoilved in teh design of the floation device- and all i had to worry about was to be able to hand the
dripping wet fish to the guy without "having a hand in the operation" - knowing how these things went --- i had several large ( dead) fish
in a wire dog crate with it's own floatation device in case i dropped it.-- and into the lake i went... and got around behind their "float"
i steadied myself as they brought out the guy in the white bathrobe and got him standing on hte float.. it took a while of putting air ina nd letting air out to have him standing just on the surface of the lake. with everything all set, i was to hand him the.. sizeable fish..
cameras rolled i lifted teh fish and ducked down as he held teh fish high--
somewhere there is a film of that fisherman in th white bathrobe slowly sinking to his knees in hysterics.... because they had not calculated
teh added weight of the fish.
what made it so funny was he was very seriously trying to carry off his lines as teh water slowly crept up over his ankles .

both books have a foundation in truth. AND BOTH Are on amazon.
and neither onE is very heavy... we coud not get the "chance" book AND ENVELOPE TO REGISTER ON OUR
PUPPY SCALE SO WE COULD PRINT THE LABELS- HAD TO RUN TO THE P.O FOR AN OFFICIAL WEIGHT...
TEH BOOK AND ENVELOPE WEIGHED 3.1 OZ ---- JUST TO LET YOU KNOW... IT IS MAYBE 1/3 INCH THICK.
ARTWORK IS TERRIFFIC.
