NOW HERE'S AN FAUX AWARD I NEVER THOUGHT........
Hi Carlene,
When I went to my writing class I learned the importance of grabbing the reader's attention with your opening sentence, and I believe you're listed for the upcoming Nobel Prize for Literature with . . . . .
"Getting pinched by a toilet seat seems to be my lot in life"
Lots of laughs!

MOVING ON......
*******
DR POL DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ON LATE NIGHT ANY MORE- SO I HAVE TO RESORT TO ENGINEERING DISASTERS. it started with pisa-- leaning-- and the problems trying to keep it upright... but i never thought there was a skyscraper in new york --#601 lexington ave--which-- per the internet- (and you know how accurate that can be...) 200,000 people's lives were in danger because of an enginereing flaw.
a flaw which i could not tolerate in a great dane... i like a leg in each corner... seems any fool???? at any rate.. this building was built on "stilts" in order to avoid and be built around --- a church---
(my opinions about churches and real estate are anotehr story... but to the engineering part...)
not only on stilts, but the stilts are in the middle of the sides-- not in the 4 corners on which any good dog/horse owner would insist ,,, ... it passed allteh enginering requirements for wind pressure on each side-- and then some free thinking WOMAN came along and said what about wind on the corners...-- she didn't ask that until the building with it's 38 elevators was up and occupied..
then came the big debate-- do we evacuate that building and all th e others form there to central park which might be knocked over if it does collapse. and a huricane was approaching..... -- it took a few weeks for "them" to decide that welding a certain a certain supportave joint together would help-- which they then did at night over the next 30 nights so that no one would be alarmed. i bet that the people who made that decision not to evacuate were not sitting around teh 43'd floor worrying about thier own life if the thing crumbeled in the meantime..
Which is one reason i no longer go to new york- it is just toooooo big for teh little guy ( me)
i also don't go to new orleans to watch the ships go by higher than my head- ( see my extensive study on water running down hill)
and i have a problem with california and that earth quake reputation-- it is not a sustaINABLE COMMUNITY --
the water mains would break and we would have no drinking water...along with trying to deAL WITH WHAT EVERYONE ELSE HAD ALREADY DRANK. ...
the cowboys saying " you want to drink upstream from the herd"

SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY -- THE NAVY-- ANOTHER OVERNIGHT LECTURE ON THE BIG BUNCH OF SHIPS THAT HANG AROUND TOGETHER.. ? A FLEET?
I WAS FASCINATED ABOUT T HE NUMBER OF THOSE SHIPS THAT CARRY A COMPLETE HOSPITAL-THINGS LIKE STAFF FOR 15 OPERATING ROOMS,
THAT HAS TO BRING ME TO ... VOTING--- THERE ARE SO AMNY ADS HERE IN MASS ABOUT RULINGS AND NURSES IN HOSPITALS AND GRANPAS WITH CHEST PAIN HAVING TO WAIT IN TRIAGE FOR TOOOOO LONG BECAUSE OF NOT THE RIGHT COUNT OF NURSES IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM.-- I DON'T KNOW WHICH WAY I AM SUPPOSED TO VOTE.... DOESN'T MAtter... but i did make me wonder if on that navy ship a bunch of congressional people got to tell the medical staff to leave people in teh triage area until 2 of teh nurses got back from cigarette break????. if teh LACK OF A NURSE COUNT WORKS ON SHIP WHY DOES IT NOT WORK IN A LANDBASED HOSPITAL? DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH " YOU HAVE THIS JOB TO DO... JUST DO IT" ? WHICH I KNOW HAS TO DO WITH BELL SHAPED CURVES- AND WHICH END DO YOU PREPARE FOR.

shatting sunday is coming quick-- i have a couple of the big quickpickers to enter... but dogfest always distorts our brick buying..
we are doing fine-- we are slightly dishelveled and still recovering from the lacK of INTERNS WITH STAMINA AND YOUNG LEGS........ we have a few people coming in to interview and think of working and/or volunteering here.... right now , keeping up is definitely work...
but if you think this is bad, you ain't seen nothin....
dog's health is maYBE THE WORST PROBLEM WE CAN HAVE -- THAT PARVO BIT WAS A HUGE CHALLANGE... BUT WE MADE IT. THIS TOO SHALL PASS HOPEFULLY..
