i am thrilled to be able to complain about mud season- but also reminded-- by dr pol-- that it is time to worm all the equine types here- and i know some of the wormer says ok for pregnant and lactating mares... but what we have is something else... i think i will consult  bryan on  the pregos.-  it is mostly ivermectin--and the horse stuff is in syringes for 1100 pound horse.... two weeks ago i thought he was joking when he said she could drip for 2 weeks...

i can remember the good old days when you tested them for worms--- that was before everyone realized  they all have tehm... like puppy roundworms-- why test??

that was back in the days when dogs just had fleas-- par for the course...i still can not let dogs sleep in my bed..

meatchipper steve said he has our video on a flash drive now... so we will have both-- i hope to get more people watching explore comeras in general... not just us...  i think explore will be breaking it into sections and puttin g it on thier public  whatever ---  i know they have 47 videos on theri you tube   now  a large part( 23 out of 47 )are ours already.. there is one comical one...dog bless america-- with some funny matching photos..of our pups sitting on puppy hill in a group.

having harlequins (mantles,merles and whites) make our bunch so much more photographable-as opposed to all tan pups...

i think tanner will be here today... time to turn over the manure pile... the 3 year old pilewhich actually has enough"used food" to have some agriculture value...he can churn in a bunch of lime it is out beyond teh pond  composting away.... i hope we can use it to "top dress" all the hopefully grassy areas-- i do like some grass

 so does mo...

but teh donks with their pointy hooves can not be loose on it all the time or they churn it into mud  big time.we have several companies coming to help us with spring cleaning.... but several want to come in may--- i hope we have green grass growing by then.

i am always stuck with  the grass the t comes up quickly and strong but does not come back over winter- ot the  normal lawn that takes forever and sometimes is worn out before it gets far...  the real goal is  regular grass by dog fest--- mo tiptoes carefully as she grazes.. but she still is 1800 pounds on 4  little 4x5 squares.

verizon... and my phone--- and the verizon man who told me to go get a better car to blue toothe to... well...new "card" new battery,new setup by the #2 veriazon store.. and i was still teh univ of mass if i did get it to call anyone  - i will spare you teh exact details -- the culmination was i left the vewrizon store and told that nice man to shove it.

 that was a used phone...with soooo many problems the last was  4 people in the office were using their phone... and  i couldn't get a dial tone.  they really owe me for teh two months i could not use it unless i went to a verizon store and the diddled for 20 minutes every time i wanted to use it..

so i was convinced to go to wallmart-- buy a phone and get it hooked up simply done.

'so i went -- with a visiting cp from virginia- got the phone and a card-- somethign about connection- it took so long that i finally  had to sit  down on the floor-- we had bentlye an sizzle with us---- some one came by who knew me and sat on the floor with us while the new phone i had just bought was   .... malfunctioning

and i hadn't even touched it.

with great pride i typed in all the phone numbers on m sheet... and took a kicture of my foot- and tried to send it  to animalep@aol.com... 

i musta looked at that keyboard for 1/2 hour  there is no    @-- i read directions... and am waiting for  some kid to come ans show me how that is hidden....

I TRY AND STAY WITH BREEDERS WITHIN RANGE OF FRANKFURT BECAUSE THERE IS A DAILY  NONSTOP FLIGHT TO BOSTON... AND  A COMPANY "PET AIR" OPERATES OUT OF THERE. IT IS A KENNEL I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT FOR YEARS... THEIR STOCK LOOKS LIKE CHAOS SHAPE... BEFORE SHE PUT ON A FEW POUNDS....

SO WE KEPT MOOSE-- SHE WAS A WONDERFUL DOG IN GENERAL--LIVED TO A RIPE OLD AGE OF 12 --- MOOSE WAS  A GOOD MOMMY AND PRODUCED LINDSAY-- LINDSAY WAS AN EVE GREATER MOM- HAVING 4 SMZLL  LITTERS-- HER LAST- A SINGLE PUP, WAS CHAOS-- 

THE  FATTY TUMOR ON MOOSE WAS NEARLY THE SIZE OF 1/2 A BASKETBALL-- AND WAS ALL TANGLED IN HER RIB CAGE- SO WE  LET HER SLEEP AND DID NOT WAKE HER UP FROM SURGERY

WE WILL WATCH CHAOS AND REACT SOONER.

I AM TOLD I MUST NOT MAKE ANY FAT JOKES ABOUT CHAOS-- I HAVE ENCOURAGED LINDA TO GO TO A PET STORE AND SEE IF THEY HAVE PURINA OM  FOR OVERWEIGHT MANAGEMENT- AND SHE IS ON A SMALL DOSE OF DURAMAX- PAIN KILLER-- WHICH I DON'T THINK SHE WILL NEED IF WE STOP "CHECKING " IT.

I BOUGHT MYSELF AN ELECTRIC DRILL- A REAL ONE.. FAIRLY LIGHTWEIGHT- BUT RECHARGE BATTERY- AND I BOUGHT THAT CUTE LITTLE PACK OF "BITS"-- AND FOR GOOD LUCK A PACK OF  NUT DRIVERS- AND WHY NOT THE DOOR KNOB HOLE DRILLER PACK...ALL IN A LITTLE RED SACHELL-- FINALLY I COULD GRAB IT AND FIX ALOT OF STUFF HERE IN THE HOUSE WITHOUT RUNNING TO THE TOOL SHED..

 I HUNG THE SACHELL NEXT TO  MY DESK THING- ALL WAS IN ORDER.... EXCEPT.....

I THINK THE PROBLEM WAS,.....   IT CAME WITH A SECOND BATTERY--- 18 WHATEVERS--- AND CHARGER.. WELL THAT HAD TO BE ON MY DESK TOP... I COULD MANAGE THAT...  EXCEPT...

ONE OF THE DRILLS FROM THE TOOL  SHED FOUND IT'S WAY TO THE HOUSE - AND IT HAS A 20 WHATEVER THAT LOOKS LIKE TEH 18 WHATEVER OF  MY DRILL--  TEH 20 WHATEVER BATTERY WENT DEAD..AND SOMEONE KNEW THAT MY 18 WHATEVER BATTERY LOOKED LIKE TEH 20 WHATEVER SO THEY GRABBED IT AND LEFT ME THE 20 WHICH ALMOST FIT THE 18 CHARGER  EXCEPT NOT REALLY.

SO THE 20 DRILL WITH MY 18 BATTERY JUST DIDN'T WORK RIGHT - SO SOMEONE TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND TRIED TO CHARTGE MY 18 WHATEVER BATTERY ON THE SHOP'S 20 WHATEVER CHARGER...

THAT IS WHEN THE CONFUSION REALLY STARTED...

SOMEONE NOTICED TEH YELLOW SABRE SAW HAD THE SAME BATTERY  AS THE 20 DRILL  AND KNEW THAT THE EXTRA 20 BAattery was up on my desk- SO TO SAVE FOOTSTEPS, THEY TOOK THE 20 CHARGER AND SABRE SAW TO MY DESK...  JUST TO SAVE TIME... I WILL JUST LIST WHAT IS NOW COVERING MY DESK....ONLY BECAUSE IT IS SOMEWHAT INDICATIVE OF  LIFE AT CRAZY ACRES....

I HAVE DECIDED TO  BUY "A BUNCH"   OF THOSE DONKEY "FEED BAGS" AS THEY MAKE PERFECT SUBSTITUTES FOR THE GENERIC PLASTIC BAG-- THEY ARE OPEN , CAN BE WASHED ( DUE TO IF A HORSE OR DONKEY HAS ONE ON THAT SOMEONE FORGETS AND GETS A DRINK, IT DRAINS...) I HAVE TRIED CARRYING ONE--IT IS OPEN, AIRY , YOU CAN EASILY SEE TEH CONTENTS UNLIKE THEY TYPICAL CARRYING DEVICE-- WITH  THE EXCEPTIO N OF TEH 2.5 GALLON BUCKETS WHICH I USED TO CARRY AND NOW BOTH MY DAUGHTERS DO.... THOSE BUCKETS ARE LEFT OVER FROM TEH BAKERY AT COSTCO.. THEY CONTAIN ICING- -- SOMEWHAT HANDY.. BUT CUMBERSOME.. I THINK THESE FEEDBAGS WOULD BE BETTER...

AND IT WAS  ONE OF GWEN'S WEEKLY JOBS-- MAKE SURE EACH ONE CONTAINED TEH REQUIRED SCISSORS , PEN  , DUCT TAPE,  AND A FEW OTHER THINGS.

WE HAVE, LEFT OVER FROM SOMETHING,   A ROLL OF HEAVY PLASTIC TUBING- SO I INTEND TO PUT IN TH E BOTTOM OF THESE BAGS, A "USEFUL PACKET"   A PEN, EASY WIPE,STRING, TAPE PAPERCLIP  2BANDAIDS, ONE GLOVE  -CARDBOARDPOO PICKERS ( THEY HAVE SO AMANY OTHER USES).....-  STUFF LIKE THAT...TOTAL COST OF CONTENTS $1.50..

BUT IT DID SHOW SOME OF THE THINGS THAT CAN GO WRONG WITH PUPPIES...  THE FACT THAT WE ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH ALL THSE DEFORMATIES AND "CURES" IS - IN MY OPINION-- THANKS TO PURINA-- I  AM SURE PURINA KNOWS  ALOT MORE ABOUT NUTRITION THAN 99% OF THE DOG BREEDERS WHO OFTEN GO THRU ALL SORTS OF GYRATIONS ABOUT FEEDING..  WHAT AMUSES ME IS  HOW ANXIOUS PEOPLE AR TO FIGURE THAT ANY BIG COMPANY IS TERRIBLE. PURINA MAKES ALL KINDS OF FOOD... AND IF THERE  

WAS A BETTER FOOD THEY WOULD MAKE IT AND  JUST CHARGE FOR IT  I AM SURE. AT ANY RATE-- SDP IS VERY HAPPY WITH THE PROPLAN- WHICH- AS 98% OF THIER DIET,  SEEMS TO KEEP OUR DOGS IN TOP SHAPE..

HAVE AT THIS....

The Navy has a system called 3M (Maintenance and Material Management) System.  This program implements something called PMS (no not what you think), Preventative Maintenance System, which determines when things are to be checked or maintained in some fashion.

There will be a line item in the PMS schedule that requires someone (probably an electrician or electronics technician) to push a button to determine if the batteries need to be replaced or not.

Best guess, they have to do this check weekly or monthly (possibly quarterly) depending on the criticality of the system in questions.

 EVERYTHING on a ship will be checked at some point, to include grounding straps, paint, water, toilets, showers, literally everything.

i stared the day with  reviewing the "coming events"  ..  AARP  sent me a catalog of all thei things available to me as i age... an amazing collection..... i am certainly glad people are thinking about some of the problmes-- my long handled shoe hornb is already a favorite...  but i can see where people  are thinking.....  two of the most   intriguing was an inflatable kiddie pool kind of thing to slide under a bed ridden patient  then inflated and filled with water so they could soak in a warm bath.....it had a collection of input and output  20 foot hoses with references to "showers"-  boy does that have potential-- i hope if i get t=o that , they have me on a rolling bed so they can roll me into the yard and hose me down.   the  other most intriguiging was a motion detected light for inside teh toilet. -- now i hear that fugen sent us one for th e upstairs bathroom-- in a time when the lights were out she figured.... a helpful detail--- pam removed it because she said it was frreaking people out.  i just told her to put it back because freaking people out is a speciality of crazy acres .

 this tiolet light is battery run--  which reminded me of the army/navy problem i had reciently-- relative "doug"  who was here for the directore meeting last weekend,   works for the navy  teaching teh very talented kind of navy person  how to get on a ship  when  no one wants you to.-  he haD SOME WEB HE CALLED UP TOshow the kind of work -like... a rowboat kind of thing sittin g on the deck of a  big boat/shop  gets picked up by a hellicopeter and plunked in the ocean so  they can run into the shop to be boarded... or someting like that........and there were pictures of guys all laden down with 65 pounds of  rifles and  stuff- and included in the 65 pounds  ...each had one of those microphones on a wire  in front odf one cheek...

i have one of those on that pa system i hardlyever use because invariably the bgattery is dead,,, so i wondered... the navy in all it's wisdom must have one person in charge of replacing batteries or recharging tehm- talk about critical jobs.....  the helicopeters might be useless if thosse bgatteries went dead...  how do they keep track???

i will tell you--  they have women sitting in gary indiana  monitoring details-  details you might think were not critical... however'' one of these detail women called me yesterday to ask if we were a cafeteria>>>>   what????? turns out... the VA will pay for a vet to come get a service dog which we donate free of charge.... but they will not pay for  the 2 pizzas he bought for us- they were questioning  teh fact that 2 pizzas must have been eaten by more than just  the veteran...  now if he had bought us a $35,000 dining room table, she might have missed that...

Rooster story here as well...bought the place in Yuma, AZ and told the guy to leave the chickens but not the goats, turkey and roosters. Roosters were still here so daughter (who'd never handled fowl before) and I caught up a half dozen and threw them into the back of the small pickup that had a canopy on the bed.

That night we headed 2 1/2 miles down the street to a lemon grove, drove down a dirt side road and while I climbed in the back she kept a look out for oncoming cars with headlights. Of course the roosters went as far forward in the rear as they could so I was forced the crawl through a fair amount of poop while scrunching under the canopy. One by one I caught them in the dark and every so often she well call, "Freeze!" as a car would beam its lights on us while we tried to hide. It seemed so clandestine!

Years later I made a friend on the other side of the lemon grove. I asked him how it was that he had so many wild chickens running loose all the time. He said he didn't know; they just kept showing up.

I NEVER TOLD ANY OF TEHM...

Good morning. Sorry it has been a while. Rogue is doing great and very healthy.  It has been a long winter! Rogue continues to be her awesome self and has to be with me all the time.  She is enjoying her new cat sibling and wants to play with her and its vice versa.  Rogue is very gentle! I dont have beautiful story to tell but our update is simple. 

Rogue still enjoys putting on her harness and going out when we can.  It has been a long winter here with strepp throat 3 times around the family. my you youngest having seizure episodes so we have been limited to lots of dr appts and food shopping.  

Anyway  rogue is a very “talkative “ (not barking) dog and she communicates with us so well. Also we have learned so much from her.  That really is the key to a successful partnership learning and understanding your partners communication. Annie was an expert communicator and would let me know if she didnt want to lay in a spot and wanted a different spot.  Rogue is very similar.  So i know if she isnt wanting to lay down i check the spot or change spots. Sometimes she just needs my coat with her blanket because she doesnt like the smell of the ground. There is always a reason she wont do the thing i ask and as soon as i fix it she will do it.  Important to watch and listen to the dog partner.

for those of you who missed the great chicken esxpiriment  last night at mail call----- someone sent me a video of a woman dog trainer who set up a train the trainer episode using chickens- i think she is absolutely right--it is a way to see who can see this thru logicaloly-- there was a tv guy there to try it who was very funny- i am sure there was alot of editing but they did seem to get predictibla behavior from a bunch of hens...

set up was a white table, a black disk with a white spot in the middle.-- a tiny fry pan with cracked corn-- when teh chicken pecked the disc he was to slide tha cracked corn in front of teh hen quickly.....i don't know how long they were at it.. or what kind of chicken swapping took place.... but a hen did seem to get the idea peck the spot and get the corn... even when the spot was moved.---they then moved to the agility course.... with weave poles..tunnel and a frame....the hen did not do the entier 5 poles, but it sure looked like it did 2 of them., ran thru the tunnel and up over the a frame...  tunnel and a frame coudl just happen, but the twisting aroudn a couple poles had to be a learned thing.

sssooooo tom brought in the table and crate of 2 hens---  hen #1 wanted no part of the whole thing...  hen #2 did get to pecking the center of the disc even tho there wqas a piece of corn on the disc also-- this made me wonder abou the natural instinct to investigate anything that didn't match the normal sourounding... hen #2 chose the centrr hole over a piece of corn.

it was also suggested that these hens were too fat to participate in indiscriminate pecking-- hungry chickens might bdo better...

... so my results are inconclusive.. i certainly did not get teh hen trained as fast as it looked like they did in the video, i will pass the project on to grace --- the concept of trying to trian a trainer was a very valid one....  could be this project be continued at dog fest too...

Hi Carlene and crew at crazy Acres,

Well Charlotte and I are doing great adjusting to things here in Ohio. My 3 girls are happy to have the addition to the family but They understood that Charlotte not being a pet but a help for dad to get around and to not fall over. Charlotte has been so helpful keeping me moving around gets me goings more than I was. We got a few inches of snow last night and Charlotte was happy to stretch her legs, a reminder of crazy Acres. Thank you again so much for everything, what SDP does helps so many and I greatly appreciate it.

MARCH 21 2018the storm??/ looks more like 6pm tonight and then overnight--  maybe not much in our area north of boston... just in case... i will get some dog food in... the truck with adult food never showed up yeaterday.... thi s happened once before whenre purina sent the wet and  puppy  food and the adult somehow got left off...  i have to go to a couple stores to get enough  savor pro plan for 3 days... it has also been suggested that we film the unloading-- we are sooooooo  good at it  .. one minute 28 seconds per pallet to get it in the storage container.

tom learned... the wet food pallet is just a tiny bit too heavy for our tractor... we can barely lift the dry.. how close is it you ask????

dry pallet is 24 bags of 37 pounds =888 pounds + pallet about 40 pounds =928-- teh scale weight of teh wet is 983 which includes the pallet

so that 50 pounds  is teh difrference between lift and not lift.... thus illustrating the straw that broke the camel's back.... also resembling calculus?

which reminds me ... steve-- that is steve #18  from ohio....  picked up ?? the flu and i am not sure they will be here this weekend with teh purple fork lift...

that will lift --  it is designed for that ---   i remember....... long ago i  did not have the back hoe part on the rear of the tractor, and tried to lift a pallet, only to have the  rear of teh tractor come off the ground instead of the pallet up...

now there is an idea for dogfest....   tractor driving/ manure moving for beginners.

MY SHINING STAR  DID IT AGAIN! SHE SAVED ME FROM A NICE FALL. I WAS WALKING UP THE STAIRS TO TAKE MY OLDEST TO HIS DOCTOR APPOINTMENT AND YET AGAIN LOST MY BALANCE. SHE KNEW IN AN INSTANCE TO TO BRACE TIGHT AND SAVE ME. IF I DIDN’T HAVE MY SWEET GIRL BY MY SIDE, I SURE WOULD BE PRETTY SORE. I’M SO BLESSED TO HAVE MY GIRL ALWAYS BY MY SIDE PROTECTING ME AND ALWAYS ON HER A+ GAME!

i know i have bought 3 packages of  frozen mashed turnips-- and i have eaten  only one-and there are none in the freezer...really????  this is where people look at me sideways and figure  poor thing...  she doesn't remember   she ate  the other  2 packages... which certainly could happen- however....

i remember thigs like food pretty well-- it is paperwork i am more inclined to forget...

Thursday   i bought some strange stuff in costco--- some kind of "tea"  that looked like marmalade in a large jar....--HONEY- CITRON - GINGER TEA--i looked forward to trying it.... naturally... that is why i bought it.. well...i have been looking for it since last thursday- not full time  but on a random pass by the kerig coffee maker i looked around. yesterday---monday-- both judy and mora were on "upper" duty (upper dduty is house, deagle and nutt house) i mentioned the marmalade stuff and how we should  try it. this set off an hour long intensive search- and both judy and mora went thru  sideways  old lady glance of   "are you sure you bought it?" -- MAYBE YOU LEFT IT IN YOUR CAR??

well i was pretty sure....but not 100%  -- this is where it gets complicated---- i remembered teh accountant now wanting me to save every reciept-SO THERE WAS AN ODD CHANCE THAT I HAD SAVED TEH RECIEPT  - ON THAT  VERTICAL SPEAR DEVICE  --AND I HAD !!!  SO I PROUDLY SHOWED THEM THAT  THERE WAS TEA ON THAT RECIEPT-- THAT  just  INTENSSIFIED THE SEArch 

  when judy finally found it ... in th e overflow room filed under jelly--she said her daughter-- when in  korea-- drank this stuff... over there it was USED to stop/prevent --- cold/flu and the whole country swore it worked... maybe that is why costco chose to sell it...  it is a little strange-- COUPLE SPOONFULLS AND THE HOT WATER of teh coffee maker and it was interesting.... especially when you got to the bottom and  teh cup had considerable shaveed orange rhins there-- to be easily chewed---

so i did that ... and according to judy i will now  not get sick....

i may get sick and tired of snow storms-- as we sit here waiting for megan to get back from ireland in the midst of a no'easter...

 but there is a blessing to the cold...

monday---no pam ( watching someone get married somewhere)  no megan... and no cindy...  cindy is an UPPER  who can cook...  and cindy usuall cooks a blue apron meal left over from saturday...

blue apron..... i order 2 meals for 4 people each - and it is delivered on saturday-- all done up in a box with some chilling device.. nicely doen...well  saturday and sunday were lively around here... so when i go the email notice  on monday from  blue apron... ?how was your roast pork meal"  i had again a terrible  " missing turnip" moment-- i din't remember  eating roast pork- but there again........age is not for the meek....

but my logic is still pretty good..... lets assume i did not eat pork--  if i didn't , why didn't  i?   like  did we even get a delivery?

well we had the delivery,, and  the whole box was still in tthe  ups delivery  purple dog house-- and because  it has been so cold... it was perfectly useable-- except for  the  frozen letuce. ---  monday night laura did  tripple duty...the feeding,mail call, and supper cooking---

 that blue apron is not a bad deal-- the concept is great... stay ou t of the stores-- and when you need 1 teaspoon of corn starch you are not left with 1 pound minus 1 teaspoon of cornstarch on the shelf for the next 3 years.  i am told some of the others are good too.

what i am telling you is ---- buy stock in fedex and ups  as teh amazone concept takes over the retailing of  the country and  the only thing left for stores to sell is cigarettes and megabucks tickets---  addiction and gambling.  a sad state...

eve and finn

We had a lovely 3 day weekend! Saturday was errands, finally unpack and clean house but after all that we still got in a trip to the mall and Cheesecake Factory for dinner! What a treat! Finn was a perfect gentleman and received lots of accolades from the staff. Sunday was chill day for Eve and Finn while I did Mom stuff and a little baking. Today we had the privilege of attending the adoption hearing for Eve’s teacher’s (also our personal friend) daughter. Such a blessing for this sweet little girl and her new family!

The frigid cold weather this year really slowed Eve down mobility wise but these warmer days I’m ready seeing her walk a lot more! Today she walked all morning for the court hearing. Took a break in her chair in the afternoon but then was on her feet for all of dance and then even did some swimming! We call this. The OI dance! 2 steps forward one step back but that’s ok we just always strive for forward motion one way or another! Thankfully Finn is always by her side as a perfect dance partner and she follows his lead!

GOLDIE IS AT IT AGAIN..( FOR NEW COMMERS -- GOLDIE IS OUR" GHOST OF THE LEFTHAND DRAWER" WHO CONSTANTLY MAKES SUGGESTION S ABOUT  THINGS-- AND WE /I HAVE LEARNED TO TAKE THOSE SUGGEWTIONS SERIOUSLY....

YESTERDAY I GOT ONE OF THE BIBLES OF MY EXISTANCE ... THE  NORTHERN TOOL CATALOG ( hard cover)  the other is the  4" thick grainger catalog- flipping thru-- i always check out wheels and wagons---i did not have enough wheels  as a child....  the other is generators-

the fascination with generators came from when my kids were teens- and i saw---SOMEWHERE---- A GUY HAD RIGGED A GENERATOR ON A STATIONARY BICYCLE- SO IF HIS KIDS WANTED TO WATCH TELEVISION, THEY HAD TO PEDAL.-- THERE IS A MILLIONDOLLAR IDEA IF EVER THERE WAS ONE... AND IT WENT ROARING BY ME..COME ON ALL YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE... I WOULD LOVE TO SOLVE AQLL THAT ..  THEN ALL THESE EXERCISE GYMS COUDL HOOK UP ALL THEIR BIKES  AND SELL ELECTRICITY  BACK TO THE GRID.. WHEN I WAS 10ISH... I THINK I HAD A THING THAT RUBBED ON MY  BIKE TIRE AND MADE MY TAIL LIGHT GLOW..

 IT TOTALLY HAS TO BE DO-ABLE..... I KEEP SEARCHING FOR  THE  PIECES TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN-- KNOWING LESS THAN NOTHING About electricity... it is difficult.  there are a few online with reference to the power grid and russia... so maybe someone will...

 of course not only the bicycle, but the antique singer sewing machine... with it's treadle... has always fascinated me... maybe that isw where i need to  set my  light-- a concept worth doing....

so i got into generators in the catalog--- not the big whole house ones, but the cute little red 18 inch- that run just one or two things and probably would not be too hard to pull a rope to start..  i had seen many at horse shows running just the pa system-- hondas.... and i don't remember the word  "inverter" being used   so often-- now apparently  the cute  little red generators provide BOTH   D/C  teh direct currant that battery run stuff needs-- and also teh  AC   "alternating curraqnt" that  is the house hold plug tyope stuff..  THERE EXISTS AN EASIER/CHEAPER DEAL TO RUN ONE OR TWO LIGHTS-- MAYBE TEH TV AND ONE LIGHT---  FROM  RUNNING YOUR CAR... FOR UNDER $10-- IT AIN'T MUCH.... BUT IF YOU ARE SITTING IN THE DARK FOR 3 DAYS WITHOUT POWER... MAYBE 5 MINUTES OF NEWS OR LIGHTS MIGHT BE A  THRILLING EXPERIENCE-- ONLY OTHER THINGS TO NOTE..,.DON'T RUN THE CAR IN THE GARAGE ( DEADLY) AND  THIS IS ONE PLACE WHERE SHORT FAT IS THE WAY TO GO-- ELECTRIC CORDS --  THE SHORTER THE FATTER THE BETTER... ALL MY VEHICLESD DO HAVE A MEDIUM SIZE INVERTER IN THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT...  THIS IS ENOUGH TO  RUN AN ELECTRIC DRILL  IN THE "BACK FIELD"  OR ANYWHERE I GAN GET TO WITH THE CAR.

WHICH MADE ME WONDER--- IF WE LOOSE POWER BECAUS  OF WIND THEN WHY DON'T WE HAVE WIND GENERATORS  THAT WOULD KEEP ONE OR TWO LIGHTS GOING??   THE ONLY POSITIVE EFFECT OF  3 - 4 NIGHTS  IN ABSOLUTE BLACKNESS IS YOU CAN BEGIN TO APPRECIATE BLINDNESS-- COUPLE THAT WITH SWHORT TERM MEMORRY IN THE DARK-- AND YOU CAN HAVE SOME VERY REAL PROBLMS ( THAT IS A BIG LESSON LOF THE DAY...) 

SO WHERE GOLDIE WAS GOING?  .... I LOOKED THRU THE CUTE LITTEL RED GENERATOORS FOR  FUN...    --- AND THEN... FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER.... THERE WAS A GENERAC AD ON LATE NIGHT TV... WHERE THEY GAVE AWAY A CUTE LITTLE GENERATOR WITHTHE PURCHASE OF  ONE OF THOSE ENTIRE HOUSE ONES....LIKE WE HAVE 2 OF RIGHT NOW-- AND AM INTENDING TO PUT IN AQ THIRD TO KEEP THE LAUNDRY AND ICU BUILDINGS-- and cameras....  L"LIVE" IN A BLACKOUT.  I FIGURE THAT WAS GOLDIE TELLING ME  BETTER GET THAT THIRD GENERATIOR OPERational---  if for nothing other thatn heat  and a/c  - having two now is nice  but teh redundancy of 3  with all these dogs-- wold lesson teh worry of no elect.

 a third generac it would keep teh cameras running...

 progress has been made on  teh 34 minute video on discs  laura prepared a bunch for mailing $15 +$5 postage--  i intended to have it mainly to run at talks and trade show kind of things.... just informational with very little "please donate" type stuff... no pushing chicken bricks.

  2AM....i TOOK A PILL...A CTUALLY A HALF A PILL- TINY THING IT WAS-- 1 EVERY 12 HOURS---SUPPOSED TO STOP  "THE ITCH" ---- I CUT IT IN HALF WITH MY TOENAIL CLIPPERRS AND TUCKED IT  BACK WITH A SUGGARED CUPPA DECAFFINATEDE COFFEE-- AND JUST WOKE UP--10 OFF 7AM-  5 HOURS SLEEP I HAD NOT COUNTED ON....AND DREAM????    A VERY OLD BOYFRIEND  FROM NEW YORK WAS IN THE HOSPITAL IN FLOORIDA  AND I WENT TO SEE HIMM- HHUGE HOSPITAL HAD TO GET HIS  ROOM NUMBER OFF A CIELING TILE SO WSOMEONE HAD TO REACH IT FOR ME THE DR WAS THERE- I REMEMBER KISSING MY FINGER AND TOUCHING IHIS FOREHEAD BECAUSE OF ALL THE STUFF THEY HAD ON HIS HEAD ( I  MUST HAVE GOT THAT FROM  THE STUFF BELLA HAS ON HER HEAD) .... TEH DR DECIDED TO COME VISIT THE FARM- BUT HE WAS DRIVING A HORSE TRAILER WITH A JEEP  WHICH HAD GOOD BRAKES  HELD BACK THE TRAILER REALLY WELL GOIJG DOWN TEH VERY STEEP HILL OF TEH HOSPITAL DRIVEWAY. WE GOT HOME AND THE NEIGHBORS HAD STORED 2 REALLY BIG BROWN BEARS IN ONE OF OUR FIELDS- THERE WERE FEFNCED IN WITH A 4FOOT FENCE AND SEEMED TO BE STAYINGT THERE WHILE TEH ANIMAL CONTROL PERSON STOOD THERE SLIGHTLU CONCERNED.  I LET THE DOGS OUT LOOSE-- BECAUSE THE BEARS WERE IN THEIR PEN AND WE ALL SAT DOWN TO KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AT A TABLE  JUST OUT OF REACH OF THE BEARS..

WHAT WAS IN THAT PILL ??????  IT HAD ALOT OF THE LETTERS OF THE ALPHAQBET THAT BENEDRYL HAS-- AND I MEANT TO LOOK IT UP BEOFRE I TOOK ANY- WHICH I NOW CERTAINLY WILL DO....  A MEDICAL DOCTOR PERSCRIBED THEM AT THE ADVICE OF  ONE OF THOSE PA's -- YOU KNOW "CHIEF ASSASTANT TOTHE ASSISTANT CHIEF"-  2 YEARAS  OLD THEY WERE TOO... LEFRT OVER FROMT HE ELECTRICAL  ELEVATOR ACCIDENT... HOWEVER, I NEVER TOOK ANY  - I WAS HAVING ENOUGH TROUBLE MAKING MY HEAD WORK RIGHT.. AND ALL I HAD TO READ WAS "CONFUSION" IN THE DIRECTIONS... AND I DIDN'T TAKE THEM- LAST NIGHT TH E HOLE IN MY LEG IS HEAOIHNG NICELUY... AND ITCHES  ( LIKE WALTER) I TEND TO WANT TO SCRATXCH IT OVERNIGHT IN SPITE OF ALL THE LAYERS OF SOX.... SO I TOOK 1/2 A PILL-- I MUST ADMIT \I HAD A GRAND TIME KISSING THE OLD BOYFRIEND, BUT THOSE BROWN BEARS WERE A PROBLEM.

BEFORE EVERYOMNE SUGGESTS I TRY BENEDRYL, ONE OF THE MD'S I SAW IN THE PROCESS OF THAT  ELECTROCUTION  BIT  TOLD ME THERE WAS  A SIGNIFICANT STUDY RELATING BENEDRYL TO ALZIEMERS--  SO I RAARELY TAKE THAT... IN SPITE OF TEH FACT THAT I KNOW OF AN RN WHO TAKES 3 OF THEM A NIGHT...

SHE SHOWS TENDENCIES OF WANTIN G TO LEARN SOMETHING...  FIRST THEIN, I THINK SHE HAS MASTERED TEH  PROPLAN IN A CAN/SPOON FEEDING BIT-- IN A GROUP-- TODAY SHE STOPPED GRABBING AS I FED  A SPOONFUL TO BENTLEY AND WAITED HER TURN.
