I LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY....
WOW... HOW TO SHIP A HORSE CROSS COUNTRY???

THERE IS A MOVEMYHORSE.COM..  AND I HAVE HAD A BUNCH OF RESPONSES
IT  BLOWS MY MIND THAT THERE ARE A GROUP OF PEOPLE WANDERING AROUND THE COUNTRY DRAGGING THOSE HUGE TRAILERS-- THE COST FROM TEXAS TO IPSWICH SEEMS TO BE ABOUT $1000 IN WHAT IS PROBABLY A 9 HORSE TRAILER-- AND THEY PUT TOGETHER "LOADS"  --- FILL EM UP...NOT UNLIKE THE AIRLINES..
SO "WE" HAVE A GUY WHO HAS A LOAD COMING NORTHEAST NEXT WEEK... WITH LUCK OUR NEW DONKEY WILL BE ON IT.  I KNEW HUGE TRACTOR TRAILERS  WAS A BIG THING IN THE RACE HORSE WORLD- BUT NOW IT IS THE 5TH WHEEL DRAG ALONG PICK UPS   WITH MOSTLY  "NORMAL HORSES"

ONE PERSON RESPONDING  TO THE HORAE TRANSPORT...HAD THE NAME "PRICE" - MY MAIDEN NAME---SO  TO MY RESPONSE I ADDED " IF YOU HAD A RELATIVE IN THE JOHNSTOWN FLOOD, WE ARE RELATED.".  THAT GOT THEM TRYING TO TRACE THIER  RELATIVES..   MY GRANDFATHER PRICE  WAS  IN THAT FLOOD  AND RESCUED OUT OF THE TREES - THEN  RAISED BY A FOSTER  FAMILY.   THAT FLOOD WAS A VERY INTERESTING  BIT OF SOCIAL HISTORY.  THE BOOK BY DAVID  McCULLOUGH  IS HISTORY- NOT FICTION.

WE H AD BARKING THIS  MORNING--- I SWEAR IT MUST BE THE FERAL CATS FROM THE FOREST-- ELSE WHY WOULD THE DOGS ALL BARK... THEN QUIT..  THE PHONE RANG MANY TIMES-- IT WAS THE SAME NEIGHBOR, AND TO BE HONEST I DID NOT ANSWER-- ALL SHE DOES IS SWEAR AT ME- AND BY THE TIME OF THE 3RD CALL THEY HAD STOPPED ANYWAY.  I KNOW THERE IS A "CAT" GROUP WHO USED TO RELEASE FERAL CATS IN WILLOWDALE STATE FOREST RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD FROM US.-- I THINK THEY WERE FROM MMM  MEDFORD MALDEN MELROSE.  NATURE PROVIDES A BALANCE..... BETWEEN THE CHIPMONKS,RATS,SQUIRRELS, CATS AND RABBITS  WE HAVE AN OVERABUNDENCE OF HAWKS LIVING OFF THE WILDLIFE-( HOPEFULLY INSTEAD OF OUR CHICKENS)

IPSWICH ALSO HAS A NEW ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER  I AM TOLD-  THE LAST PERSON WAS GREAT-I HATE TO SEE A  CHANGE.. DAVID???? WHAT IS HAPPENING THERE.????

CREW IS ARRIVING FOR THE USUAL SUNDAY--I KNOW WE HAVE ONE APPLICANT COMING FROM CONN.. HE CALLED LAST NIGHT-- HE HAD A LETTER FROM US INVITING HIM TO COME VISIT-- AND HE WAS ALL EXCITED... I TRIED TO REMIND HIM  HE WAS COMING SO WE COULD INTERVIEW HIM FOR A POSSIBLE DOG-- BUT IT DID NOT MEAN HE WQS GETTING A DOG- PROBLEM WAQS, HE WQAS SO EXCITED I DON'T THINK HE HEARD THAT PART.
AND I  DIDN'T GET HIS NAME-- JUST  THAT HE WAS FROM CONN.  SO I HAVE SOME RESEARCH TO DO.
*********
MY ONLY FYI FOR THE DAY....PRETTY USELESS, BUT.....
COSTCO IN DANVERS HAS STARTED CARRYING "PRIME" BEEF-- THEIR USUAL IS "CHOICE" BEEF. AND TEH DIFFERENCE IS REMARKABLE.--  A FEW EXTRA DOLLARS FOR A STEAK  BUT  I THINK WORTH IT - YOU DON'T NEED PRIME FOR HAMBURGER-- BUT THAT  STEAK WAS  WHAT I REMEMBER A STEAK OUGHT TO BE.
I TRIED TO LOOK UP THE USDA GRADING OF BEEF...IT GOES SOMETHING  LIKE   PRIME,CHOICE,GOOD, UTILITY.
I THINK  THE BASE IS THE MARBLING- WHICH MAKES IT TASTY, TENDER,(AND MORE FATTENING?)
I REALIZE THERE IS A NUMBER RATIO  OF LAND/ACRES  INVOLVED WITH EATING BEEF AS OPPOSED TO  SOY PROTEIN,..AND THAT IS NOT A HAPPY NUMBER.

ON WE GO
