i swept under my bed today-- doesn't sound like much... but......
about a week ago, i decided after 20 odd years of putting my daily collection of pills
( vitamin , dilantin,asprin- one mouthfull- one drink...) in the mon tues wed pillbox, i noticed it was not only dirty, it was grungy. i have been fascinated for years that the snap closures still work perfectly-- but to say it ws dirty, ws not to do it justice. so i decided to dishwasher it... knowing how critical it is that i take those dilantin regularly, i went and bought another simpler mon tues wed am/pm type for the interim....
( this is going somewhere)
i change my ear batteries weekly on friday to save the bells ringing at an inoportune time...signaling a dead battery - so i put in 2 tiny batteries--- 1 in the am and 1 in the pm of the new pill container... so they didn't get discharged by touching each other---- along with the correct dose of pills...
who could forget they werre there???

busy day friday-- so i swigged my am pills and survived the day, to swig the pm pills .. at which time i stopped cold because in the pm mouthful was a tiny battery.. which i spit out. i nearly went to bed, when i thought--- there were 2-- one in the am and one in the pm . except the am was empty.... causing me to spend a very pequiliar few days trying to figure out what happened to the tiny/smooth/round battery...
and then i swept under the bed today.... and found one battery ..and an odd pill or two... apparently as i toss pills from this newly configuratedd pill box, , i sometimes miss my open mouth...
probability being such--- i now removed the sign in my wallet "do not do an MRI ... internal metal fragment"

whdi brings to mind.... the doggie door saga....we need a be kind to skip day...he does a great job maintaining those doggie doors.. i felt badly deciding we should get way from the carpet kind..... but i just don;t know.... so...... if the cp's help....
janine's carpet-- she replacd a bundh of carpet and carefuoly rolled the old for us to use on the doggie doors.. luckily i got to them and put them in the trash-- before they got cut up and used...because they are the kind of carpet that unraveles in very strong strings which could strangle..
skip could rethink his job as doggie door maqnagement-- and to make his work easier....we need a camera person to keep their eye on the "closeout" section of farmtek which has small pieces of that vinyl that they use in walk thru freezers in supermarkets-- i will check it today... but unfortunately i have told so many people what great doggie doors thy make- that i have trouble scoffing it up
how's that for a wish list... skip could use it in 3 foot sections... and there are several varieties-- the best being 12 wide... but he can use anything and creqtively he willmake it fit...
have at it camera people.... it is tough stuff...but the dogs do eat it... it is better than rugs...

and then this door bit...
mind you i heard long ago... from dr cook (brain surgeon type person) that parkinson persons often have digfficulty going thru a door...
Ever walk into a room with some purpose in mind, only to completely forget what that purpose was?
Turns out, doors themselves are to blame for these strange memory lapses.
Psychologists at the University of Notre Dame have discovered that passing through a doorway triggers what's known as an Event Boundary in the mind, separating one set of thoughts and memories from the next. Your brain files away the thoughts you had in the previous room and prepares a blank slate for the new locale.
Thank goodness for studies like this.
