AUG 14 2015
4 DAYS TIL NEAL FLYS
I WATCH THE SCIENCE CHANNEL OVERNIGHT-- USUALLY TO SEE THE MYTHBUSTERS ETC..  BUT LAST NIGHT IT WAS HOW THEY MAKEA SPECIAL HELMET/BACK SUPPORT TO PROTECT  RACE CAR DRIVERS FROM SNAPPING THIER NECK -- I CAME TO THE CONCLUSION LONG AGO THAT IF I HAD TO WEAR SOME  APPARATUS  TO WARD OFF SERIOUS INJURY IN SOME HOBBY , THAN MAYBE I WAS DOING THE WRONG ACTIVITY... I GAVE UP SKIING WHEN THEY  WERE  DEVELOPING "QUICK RELEASE "  BOOTS TO  PROTECT YOUR LEGS FROM FRACTURES.
BESIDES.... SKIING WAS  EXPENSIVE......  AND COLD.

DIDN'T WE DECIDE AT MAIL CALL THE OTHER NIGHT, THERE IS NO OCCUPATION  MORE HAZARDOUS THAN BEING PRESIDENT  OF THE  UNITED STATES???    WHERE  12 OUT OF 40 HAVE BEEN SHOT AT--- AND ?4 KILLED?
WHY DO I LOOK AT THE PICTUES OF ALL THE PEOPLE WANTING TO BE PREWSIDENT AND   IMMEDIATELY THINK OF CARDBOARD DUCKS IN A SHOOTING GALLERY.???
WHERE THE HECK IS   OSHA??  IF WE HAD ONE PERSON OUT OF 4 GETTING SCRATCHED BY A PUPPY, OSHA WOULD BE DOWN OUR NECKS AND DEMAND WELDING GOLVES ( WHICH I ALREADY OWN... THANKS TO THE CP'S...)
****
AS FOR FUTURE PUPPY SUPPLIES--  WE ARE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE TO START-- AND I KNOW HOW QUICKLY YOU ALL CAN REACT TO A DEFICIT ... FOR THE CP'S TO DO THE SHOPPING IS ALSO A  WONDERFUL TIME SAVER..
AND -- HEAVEN FORBID... DO NOT COUNT YOUR PUPPIES TIL THEY NURSE...

IT IS NOT NICE TO SCREW AROUND WITH FATE-- OR MOTHER NATURE-
***********
YESTERDAY'S OUTING  WAS TO GO BUY TIRES FOR THE HORSE TRAILER--I THINK IT WAS THE FIRST TIME IN MY CARREER THAT I PULLED A TO  TRAILER WITH A CAR WITH ENOUGH POWER TO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE HILLS..... THE RIGHT HITCH.   THE RIGHT ELECTRICAL CONNECTION ... 4 GOOD TIRES... AND I COUDL CHANGE LANES!!!
I HAVE REALLY COME UP IN THE WORLD... I HAD TURN SIGNALS !!!!

TODAY I WILL SWEEP AND INSPECT THE FLOOR.. JUST FOR ADDED EXCITEMENT... HORSE TRAILERS OFTEN HAVE A RUBBER MAT WHICH HIDES THE ACTUAL CONDCITION OF THE FLOOR---

IT IS A NICE TRAILER... ALUMINUM-- 10 YEARS OLD AND STILL SMILING... EXCEPT FOR THE SMALL DENTS I PUT IN THE FRONT OF IT LOADING THE TRACTOR ON IT.
**********
MY IDEA OF A NICE DAY?  HOOK UP THE TRAILER ,   GO  TO HOME DEPOT-- RACE AROUND  IN THE WHEELCHAIR WITH BENTLEY AND BUY A BUNCH OF ODD  LUMBER OFF TEH 70% OFF RACK  WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT HOW I WOULD GET IT HOME.
**
HOW MANY TIME HAVE I NOTED, WHEN WE DO SOME REPAIR , IF YOU LOOK HARD ENOUGH THE MATRERIALS ARE AROUND SOMEWHERE...
WE  ( RYAN) SET A NEW POST TO THE FLAT FIELD- AND  THERE WAS A PERFECT 6X6 12'LONG POST LYING 15 FEET AWAY- THAT I MUST HAVE BOUGHT WHEN I WAS DRAGGING THE TRAILER AROUND...

THEN THERE IS  THE  PAINT---  A PALLET FULL THAT HD DONATED TO US--- IT COST THEM TO DISPOSE OF IT-- SO WE PROVIDE PAINT TO ANY VOLUNTEERS WHO CAN LIVE WITH ODDLY COLORED  PAINT. IT IS IN THE CELLAR...HELP YOURSELF--  THER IS SOME RELATIVELY NORMAL...

I CAN NOT IMAGINE WORRYING ABOUT THE SLIGHT SHADE DIFFERENCE THAT MAKES THAT PAINT UNACCEPTABLE TO SOME.
THT IS ONE REASON I COULD NEVER LIVE AT THE COUNTRY CLUB....
 AMONG MANY REASONS..
THEY WOULD NEVER PUT UP WITH A PURPLE MAILBOX..  THEY EVEN HAVE RULES ABBOUT THAT...

FROM A CP------Re: dryer lint.
There was a program I watched that suggested putting dryer lint out for the mice to build nests. I do not want to encourage mice nesting, but the rationale was that Bumblebees establish their homes in abandoned mice nests. Gotta do all we can for the bees. :-) (Although I likely put the lint out too late in the season. Now just have soggy lint....it will go away. lol)

An Open Letter To WillowPosted on August 13, 2015 by Wilamenapants As our second anniversary approaches, I have been reflecting on just how much my “Princess Pants” has changed my life. I decided to write her a letter and tell her... Dear Willow, Who knew that skinny girl up on the hill would save my life? You did. From the moment I walked in your pen and you locked on my eyes with “that look”, you knew. I’d heard the stories of your HOD, how you’d fought and rallied and survived. I knew you were an incredibly special girl but, I had no idea how special. From our first training outings to the time you first came home you showed such incredible love and patience with me. Let’s be honest, I was not an easy choice. I was still struggling with so many things. Yet you, stood rock steady at my side ready to take on the world with me.
During these two years you have taught me so very much. You’ve taught me to listen to you. For you know better than I when I’m having a bad day. You’ve taught me patience. To be patient with myself when I’m having a hard time and you gently remind me or steadfastly brace for me. Always with a kiss and a tail wag if I’m getting up from a fall as if to say “it’s okay, we’ll move on now”.
You’ve taught me to embrace my life again. You are so very skilled and brilliant yet so funny at just the right times. With you by my side my dear Willow, I am safe. I can walk without the fear of falling. If I do fall, you are there to help me up. You are a partner like no other. You chose to devote your life to me and you work by my side each day always happy to do so. You endure so many things and yet, you still wag your tail each time I ask you to “get dressed” to put on your working harness.
When I open my eyes at night and see you looking back at me, I realize how truly blessed I am. I’ll never fully be able to express the depth of gratitude, admiration and love I have for you. I can only try each day to continue to tell you, love you and provide you with the best possible “creature comforts” and care.
Please know sweet Willow, without you my life would not be as it is. I always say, “My life will never be same as before MS but, because of Willow in some ways it’s actually better”. That, my precious Monkey Pants, says it all.
Love You To The Moon And Back, Mom
