neal--( terrriffic pup)
in the beginning......we planned to arrive early....
we chose a flight to arrive at 12:28-- sounded good... but  turns out....they no longer do the customs bit at terminal "e"   but have moved that  to south boston...  they said it took 9 minutes... ?really?    thru the ted williams tunnel and into massive boston traffic...since we had an additional 2 hours i decided we should take a dry run and lovcate the place--- which turns out to be at the far end of that dry dock building with the hole in the top( where so many commerdcials are ohotographed... so i knew the building.).. we could see it.  right... we could see it.... but getting there was not the 9 minutes but 45.. at least.  we rushed back to the airport to find a confusing bunch of notices about  landings... taxing... gates closed  and diverted.
----because at 12 27  we had teh most hrrendous thunder downpour episode.. so th eplane went round and round til it began to run out of gas. then the word diverted came on the screen and we were told it got diverted from the gate because the gate was taken..  so we assumed on the ground... not true... it was on it's wany to mancheadter nh for more gas... so all those landing notices etc were about landing in mancester not boston...

in the meantime grace and i had got drenched running from car to office because of the landing notice...
the office is well airconditioned.. and we were wet... and cathy ( from nahant) had met us  there.. with ice cream...
grace had piles of fluffies for neal.. so we  bundled up with red fluffies and were given "red  delta blankets"  and hot coffee as we sat in a row  bud joined us---in the red blankets...  we were having personal service ... because...the woman behind the counter was from danvers and her husband had volunteered at sdp a few years ago during my phase of looking for a ridgeback female ( another long story... later).

teh only good news was that the plane was so late that the south boston office would be closed and we would have to go to the terminal "E"  instead.

next problem was ... "THE BOX"   containing the paperwork for the flight had not yet arrived at the  cargo office.. there was some discussion about whethter the plane had taken off with the box stil aboard... so our nice delta attendents  basically made up  a bunch of papers and said "stand up straight and hand the customs these.. maybe it  will work."  so in my best "clipboard manner", with authority i handed the papers thru the windo with my license... and she stamped them.
i was thrulled....  back across the entire airport... thinking unkind things about the system... and grace had neal out on the lawn
pee'd and pooped... all organized...

that is it for the moment....

tree guys are supposee dto be here... and they are not.
