a huge expense of 22 puppies is the overflowing laundry dry well--which became unbearable even if it was only soapy wash water.\
so now....we are properly DRY WELLED ...i hope.
after 2 days of peering into deep holes into which ground water was seeping---
and contemplating the hourly cost of the mamouth hunk of iron that can dig a 10' deep hole in about 5 minutes. and laser hole measurers... 2 great big hunks of concrete--- with holes--- is covered--
while studying the oozing process--- i asked the smaller tractor ( small by comparison only) to remove the manure to the compost pile-- then we got to the mucky mess which runs along the arena and barn ----- because rain + horses pointy hooves makes topsoil out of gravel in about 53 minutes.
they can have that with my blessing--- although i know the sand and gravel store up
the road mixes that stuff with sand and calls it topsoil for which they charge a lot of money---- i really don't want to get in the topsoil business.
if you need the particulars-- the horse mud stuff is about 2 feet deep--- and soft-- we and the horses sink in it---- with cold weather the top begins to freeze but is not enough to support us-- or a horse til maybe january--- so in the meantime-- walking thru the stuff REALLY HURTS THEIR SHIns. -- and janine's--- who is very vocal.
speaking of her rescue horses--- she said the palomino is inclined to bite and other things--- so don't go in with him--- and don't remove the barrier that i have in fron t of his stall---i borrowed the yellow caution tape from the construction project.

back to dogs---
we took "marque" to see george again-- and he did a biopsy on his flaky bumps-
--- we had to leave him- with hopes they did not let him wake up in a tin cage...
i opted for the expensive biopsy as too many times i have opted for the cheaper only to then need the more expensive test after all. i forgot to ask when we could get results... he is on antibiotics so whatever it is does not get infected is i think the reasoning.
also one of those fate things-- costco--- kirkland brand-- has started a blue bag of food with fewer ingredients - this could be a good test for food alergy
we can swap him over to thaT TODAY-- i bought it so we could have some different food in the yuppy puppy treat dispenser-- salmon and sweet potato or some such..
we can try him on that.
whatever he has is not contgeous - he is the only one with it.

jim ( hammering with paul on the nut house) voiced an interest in the ambulance
----that would work for us--- last i knew it ran fine-- passed inspections etc..
he is a real carpenter and could use it .

today's project.
we need seat covers for the beautiful vans we now have---- fuzzy seats collect too many odd things from dog feet.

as for the chicken poo project--- yesterday we had 8 more people add their bricks to the wall-
8 per day til the sh#tting on Sunday and we will have November's food bill paid for.
