just because i now can use the recorder to record --play-- and erase, i was full of confidence-- i was also unstuffing one of those "LATER" places on the bookshelf-- and becaue the directions to the use of my phone were the same shape as the recorder-- i found them.. and started in.... full of cheer.
i have had the phone for over a year, so i figiured it was time to figure out how to get the messages-- it said --clear as can be "to retrieve your messages dial 86 and send" -- so i did that.. and got "your call can not be completed as dialed..." right -- so back into a new "LATER " pile...
my life with the telephone has not been an easy one.... as a child... youngest of 3 sisters--- i loved to answer the phone from a very early age...
-- somebody wanted to talk to me????? the phone in our house hung on a wall in such a way that you could answer from the first floor or reach thru the railing and answer it from up stairs--my oldest sister knew i loved to answer the phone and would wait til i just about had my hand on it from one diredtion ... and would grab it from the other. consequently i was trrained from an early age to panic and run when the phone rings... i am like thaat to this day... if it rings 3 times... i panic... i can become frazzled if the phone tells me there is a call waiting... "don't worry they'll call back"-- is just not in my vocabulary.
so...----now that my car is 2 years old, it is an invatation for the telephone marketers to call asking if i am prepared for it to fall apart- and why don't i want to extend some warrentee or another...
so i have a new defense... -- when a blocked call comes in i pick up the phone and say " this phone does not accept blocked calls" and quickly hang up... like i am a machine.----that is very therapeutic...

last night board of directors meeting.... we actually did discuss a few things dogfest "september 23......lobster/clambake--- ben and jerry's ice cream.. no.shore acapella group--spirit stick march-- talbes and chairs.. tents and things...
apparently the local jaill now provides tents which teh inmates put up and take down for free......-- boy that is a new one... but wih the g-tent , and t tent if we put up much more, the whole farm will be under canvas--- i will have another look at the big door in the laundry building... maybe that area could be food distribution area and have tables and chairs in our already esixtining tents.???? maybe just a piece of tarp to cover food tables would work,...
****
big discussion about book writing... someone contactrd me about that... might happen... got to look into how well she spells...
***
and cars.... our wonderful highlander is getting tired and we need to address how to get another car.... best idea was to mention it to our community and see if anyone has an old reliable they could donate--- do you?....
****
and we discussed how being associated with ADI ( accredited by...) was necessary... but added greatly to our expenses... as does being spotless.. for the cameras...but we couldn ot have it any other way.
and how we have put out some pretty perfect dogs.... doing a whale of a job.... but we should do more... we have the setup... need more femaes...
*****
my biggest concern is we are behind in puppy producion... and i need to get more females "in the wings" reginna and reese shold be coming in heat... and we will breed both... -- but planning must be done 2 years ahead... some of our old faithfulls are retired ( spayed) now...
we should be able to have 3 or 4 litters from each female while she is still having a wonderfu l life as someone's perfect pet... mischa was "away from home" for about 4 weeks for each litter.. she is a good one...
****
the dry food purina arrived yesterday and megan put out the call--- i ran teh tractor to unload and a big group of volunteers flew at teh pallets and ghad it stashed away in nothing flat ( 1 minute 28 seconds per pallet is what it takes to store it in the container)
****
we get too soon old and too late smart.... we stacked the empty pallets nd put them back on the truck !!
***
now to bite the bullet..... when i get life undercontrol today-- maybe mid morning, i plan to go and see just how well pockets remembers getting on the box.... it will be on camera... even if it is raining... if it si a failure.. you may all have a good laugh at my expense.....
i think we may have had teh "water moment" from the movie miracle worker with patty duke... a must see for anyone training animals...
