CARLENE,
I LOOKED UP ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THE HUM IN THE CAMERA AND IT SAID THAT WITH THE PANASONIC GH4 CAMERA, THE HUM IS EVER PRESENT EVEN WITH THE MIC TURNED OFF. IT COULD HOLD TRUE WITH OTHER CAMERAS AS WELL, SO IT IS NOT FROM ANYTHING IN THE HOUSE. IT WILL ALWAYS BE THERE AND NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. WE'LL JUST HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT. IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL FOR ME.............JOHN

wow-- that is the best news in ages...  i am really tired of  "to hum or not to hum-- that is the question..."  conversations.  we all lived for a very long time with no sound.... if it is as earth shattering as some find it-- shut the sound off---

you are  listening to  just us--- a cacophony -- not a symphony..

HI, CARLENE,

I SAW IN TODAY'S DOGGIE DAILY THAT YOU TALKED ABOUT PURPLE LOOSESTRIFE.  I AM A VOLUNTEER WITH A CONSERVATION GROUP IN THE MIDWEST.  YOUR MOTHER WAS RIGHT; THE NON-NATIVE PURPLE LOOSESTRIFE (WHICH IS LIKELY WHAT YOU HAVE) IS NOT EASY TO GET RID OF  (SEEhttp://www.invasiveplants.net/plants/purpleloosestrife.htm).  YOUR COMMUNITY SHOULD HAVE ACTED WHEN SHE SOUNDED THE ALARM (BUT WE DIDN'T KNOW AS MUCH BACK THEN ABOUT INVASIVE PLANTS).

IT WON'T WORK TO PULL OUT THE PLANTS AND SOW A FEW WILDFLOWER SEEDS.  IF YOU HAVE A FIELD OF IT, THEY WILL OUTCOMPETE ANY WILDFLOWERS IN NO TIME FLAT.  SAVE YOUR TIME AND BACK.  RESIGN YOURSELF TO ENJOYING A FIELD OF LOOSESTRIFE. . .IT IS YOUR COLOR, AFTER ALL.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WITH THE DANES.

FROM THE WEB
  • The plant was introduced both as a contaminant of European ship ballast and as medicinal herb for treatment of diarrhea, dysentery, bleeding, wounds, ulcers and sores.
oh really??  i thought it was no good for anything--- there certainly are fields of it

yesterdays discussion ith anne resulted in our building a shade shelter in the puppy pen.. apparently the reason there are no dogs on camera there is the heat/sun... they are in the shade of the hill on the other side... so we are trying to put up a shade "umbrella" mostly out of available materials--- like 3 good posts and one very bent one.

people carrying levels and right angles are not welcome near it.

keep in mind-- one of the biggest concerns is that it not be eatable... otherwise i would put up a rendition of th e old teepee.

so that is the project of the day
along with bank statements... yuck
