Our wonderful 2020 calendar --I forgot that to remind everybody but that's me being “ miss December “ Or perhaps more correctly in this case “missed December” .. Each photo in that 2020 calendar .. Is a stand alone work of art by William huber ---- everyone of those 13 pictures can be officially framed and put on the wall . from Walter Standing on his hind legs cleaning off the top of the refrigerator .. to Opal sitting in the lifeguard chair guarding puppies in the kiddie pool .. to Bailey standing on the tree limb .. all those photos are not photoshopped and are superb pictures to frame and put on the wall ..---- When I was involved with the production of the calendar I always enjoyed trying to get humor in the photo and I think I did .. I started framing and purchased a whole box full of mats so when Julie and I went to nursing homes before all this CLV we took several of those framed pictures with us for them to hang on the wall to take place of the dreary sea marsh scenery they had there ..So all you people who have our calendar from 2020 it maybe is one of the better things of 2020 and the photographs involved in it our very frame -able .. Especially the December photo with me with curlers in my hair reading the night before Christmas in front of the fireplace to a bunch of puppies look carefully at the laid out cookies for Santa ..if truth be known William could make anybody look good .. I never offered to sell any in the doggy bag because once matted they are 12 x 16 and I don't know how to send them in the Mail. Just that cover photo of 2 dogs and megan’s father standing on 2 legs behind a curtain in voting booths is a classic. I suppose I could look into mailers if there is enough interest...—but it certainly couold be a do it yourself COV project that would make you smile.... hopefully...
then we get on to 2021 with the Super photos of camera marks .. His photos are more generic unrehearsed around the farm type pictures ---they too are beautiful –and different..mark said he has 85,000 sdp photos.. and I don’t doubt it for a minute...The most amazing part about marks pictures are... if I ask him about one picture that he took say with two puppies sitting on a hillside with a stick in their mouth or something .. he can go right to that damn photo and find it .. it is a statement of how efficiently marks head works .. I wouldn't have a clue in 85,000 pictures to be able to come up with one single picture but he does it all the time .. I find that very annoying I couldn't begin to do that . He often posts his pictures On Facebook apparently .. it has some wonderful ones of Frank as Santa Claus .. Frank was tremendously photogenic and an extremely nice Santa Claus who died of CoV earlier this year .---- that is Frank as Santa in the sleigh being pulled by 6 great Danes for the December 2021 pictures ..
if it's not easy to put together a calendar and every time we've done it five or six years that is we've started in January and thought we really should get the winter pictures out of the way while there's snow on the ground and somehow we end up struggling in July to somehow imply but it's cold out ..
when I was in the business of providing animals for commercials you were always fighting reality .. I know there's one Road on the Winthrop property where the road is plowed to the ground and the road is lined with green pine trees and we have used that in a couple of commercials where the need was supposed to be 1/4 of July picnic because we only had only dirt and green showing ..
It's hard to come up with the most ridiculous thing I ever had to do during animal episodes , because there were so many .. once out on the beach they didn't like where the sun was coming up over the ocean so they blocked it out and put up another one .. then there was the time it was supposed to be fall with leaves coming off the trees when it was actually winter and there were no trees with leaves so they hired some guy to glue a buncah of leaves back on a tree .. true story .. the most money I ever made the easiest was my bag of crabs ---not lobsters but crabs -- which I had to nursemaid in and out of the tide for a week before they used 'em ... well I sat around at the edge of the water and move my crabs in and out as the tide went in and out .. for this I was paid a great deal of money by the hour .. making movies is not all glorious stuff .. it's hard work -- I forgot the name of the guy who had to carry my bag of crabs up the beach but it was a biggie ....
because I don't go to the movies etc I never knew who I was working with--- whether I should be impressed or not impressed .. I could pick out a few like Robin Williams .. And I remember a crowd gathering and screaming Jack Nicholson .. as I was putting liver in his shoe so a dog would follow him at the Wang center in Boston .. Nice guy I did find the bigger they were the easier they were to work with .. There's an awful lot of time spent standing around making movies --- and where I always had some animal with me the actors and staff in general would gravitate toward the animals so I got to meet a lot of people that I didn't know ---
I can remember my daughter saying “what do you mean you've never heard of Ellen DeGeneres “ . And there is a picture somewhere of me playing pattycake with cheri and the triplets which were in witches of eastwick--- maybe---- I think that was the movie ...A lot of movie making is really a bunch of people who are normal people just sitting around bored .. I did find the details of things like wardrobe very interesting .. fact there was a scene in I think which is where someone had to walk through a door into a room which had a swimming pool .. the door was in cranes beach Castle down here in Ipswich in the swimming pool was in Los Angeles ..and all the clothing and make up had to be identical or somebody would notice ......something you probably didn't think about .
I cannot honestly say making movies is exciting .. it's a bunch of people that set up a whole community which includes at least one stainless steel kitchen cafeteria tractor trailer.. to feed everybody .. and of course the porta porta potties because there's hundreds of people involved in these things .
There are a LOT OF FUNNY STORIES... I DO HAVE A SHOE BOX FULLOF “JOB SLIPS” SOMEWHERE...
