nov 28 2019
i dunno what happened... shuda posted thei morningb.

i had a very wise aunt mildred who often said  "blessed be nothing" -- which can go 6 ways to sunday.  She was a retired school teacher( of  kids WHo were deaf)  lived in an appartment in nyc- smallest i have ever seen- and she would visit us for thanksgiving- and the "NOTHING"  she often blessed was the  fact that she had no belongings that had to be kept dry, insured, maintained and protected from being stolen. her luggage was minimal... even at 12 years old i recognized she traveled light !

she also did the needlepoint which hangs in our guest house

You are welcome here
be at your ease
get up in the morning
go to bed when you please

happy to share with you
such as we've got
 the leaks in the roof
 the soup in the pot

WE HAVE A CP WHO HAS DRIVEN  INTO THE SNOW -- ALONE --FOR THANKSGIVING- AND IS HOLED UP IN A WONDERFUL LOOKING CABIN SOMEWHERE IN ALASKA...-- NO TV - CABIN HAS TEH "BARE NECESSITIES"  SHE SENT PICTURES--- NEAT -- TIDY-- NO FRILLS-- ( AND INDOOR PLUMBING)- AND SHE IS HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME.

IF THAT IS NOT  THE SAME AS MY AUNT MILDRED ENJOYING "NOTHING" I MISS MY GUESS.

which also makes me compare all the people standing in line with  all kinds of luggage- when aunt mildred managed to spend a week with us--and was certainly all properly clean and tidy  --- her  entire luggage would easily fit in today's overhead storage.
she did not seem to be at all controlled by  what the rest of the world thought, and would constantly bring reality into the conversation- i distinctly remember asking her about  why she had no shampoo and  hair conditioner- and she quickly said- "there is nothing wrong with soap."

i have no idea why--- or what was medically wrong with her, but  she  could not drink newburgh's town water unless it was boilled-- newb urgh did have teh florinated water as part of a tooth decay study-- that may have been the reason-  whatever-  we always had a bottle of water in the fridge which had been boiled for her.

i also had another aunt who taught in nyc-- aunt mabel.. she was an exceedingly bright -- bonafied nut-- she taught "the bad boys( i.e arrested) "  in "the city"   - there are lots of funny stories about aunt mabel  but that is anotehr DD

so back to sharing  the soup in the pot - i hope  this t'day dinner bit goes well-- we have 2 complete  turkey dinners for about 30 --put out by a local restaurant----  to which was added a ham dinner for 12 from tennasee - with no idea who, if anyone , is coming. so we are ready..    and we do have that walk in freezer for any extras.. i do not do turkey soup. ( of course i don't cook much of anything anymore--- i am blessed with people who arrive with food to share)
 and share we do !!

Hope all is well my girl  and I are so busy preparing for the holiday to enjoy 😁 we have been doing very well. Getting out as usual staying busy enjoying life after I was extremely ill. I can say this my girl she is amazing beyond she wouldn’t let anyone walk me she had to she’s the best she knows she has me as I know as well. I told them as I was catching my breath she’s got me to relax. She caught countless falls cause I was so week and my MS was in full gear. I had respiratory distress caused from bronchitis die to my immune system being so low. We where in the hospital for 8 days and she  would only leave my side to take a potty break and zoomie run. She would sometimes even fight that cause she didn’t want to leave me. Our bond is so tight.
We are now back to the normal and enjoying life. She’s doing fabulous as well as me.
Thank you for training the most beautiful loving dogs. I’m truly blessed and can never thank you enough.
